Grow a Garden 2 Plants Tier List

I gotta warn you that this tier list works based on one-time sell value. Otherwise, there would be too many factors to keep in mind: harvest cycles, regrow speed, total profit per hour, or even seed cost. That’s too complicated, and we’re all here for raw profit anyway. If a particular picked fruit sells for a low amount, it’s ranked lower. Here’s a full Grow a Garden 2 plants tier list for 2026:

Tier

Plants

S-Tier

Moon Bloom, Mushroom

A-Tier

Sunflower, Poison Ivy, Venus Fly Trap, Ghost Pepper, Dragon’s Breath

B-Tier

Bamboo, Cherry, Glow Mushroom, Poison Apple, Pomegranate

C-Tier

Baby Cactus, Apple, Corn, Coconut, Mango, Tulip, Grapes, Dragon Fruit, Acorn, Horned Melon

D-Tier

Blueberry, Strawberry, Tomato, Carrot, Pineapple, Green Bean, Cactus, Banana

Important Note: Values in this list reflect specific test weights. Lighter crops can sell for significantly less, and heavier crops can sell for much more. That’s why a 22.4K Moon Bloom result does not mean every Moon Bloom will sell for 22.4K.

And yeah, I know that Strawberry, Tomato, Coconut, and Poison Apple can all give multiple harvests. But my rule of ranking applies here, too.

Best Plants in Grow a Garden 2

Each tier has its own best plant, and you can try to hunt for them in GaG2. Again, I’m sticking to the one-time sell value criterion here. So far, these are the best plants in Grow a Garden 2:

8

Best B-Tier normal plant

In case you’re here reading this tier list only to discover the very top plants, you’ve got it. I’ve just gathered a list of the eight most expensive plants you can sell to get the most raw value.

S-Tier Plants in Grow a Garden 2

S-Tier includes every plant that sold for more than 10K Sheckles from one picked item. There are only two plants here. Moon Bloom and Mushroom are the best plants in Grow a Garden 2 so far.

Moon Bloom

Moon Bloom is the best plant in Grow a Garden 2 by one-time sell value. I’ve sold mine for around 22.4K Sheckles from a heavier crop, and that’s an indisputable winner in my ranking. It also has a small utility effect because you can bounce on it and jump higher. That’s nice, but let’s be honest: the sell value is why it’s here.

The best way to make Moon Bloom even stronger is to grow a large one and get mutations on it. If a normal Moon Bloom already sells for 22.4K Sheckles, a big mutated one can become ridiculous very quickly.

Mushroom

The second-best plant in Grow a Garden 2 in terms of raw one-time sell value is Mushroom. One tested Mushroom sold for around 12.3K Sheckles, which puts it far above almost every other plant in the game.

I’d still put it below Moon Bloom because the gap is too big to ignore. But it costs way more than it looks on the surface. Go ahead and compare it to Dragon’s Breath or Poison Apple, for example. It might not be that attractive, but it goes for a good price.

A-Tier Plants in Grow a Garden 2

All the plants that fall into the A-Tier category can be sold between 3K and 5K Sheckles from one picked item. They’re obviously far behind Moon Bloom and Mushroom, but they still bring enough value to build your garden around them.

Sunflower

You can sell one piece of Sunflower for around 3.16K Sheckles. It grows as one main pick, but it’s not even close to any of those plants from the S-Tier. I use this plant as a good mid-to-late option that you can grow consistently.

Poison Ivy

Poison Ivy comes from the Ghost Pepper seed pack and is sold for around 3.81K Sheckles in the test. The interesting part is that the shop value did not fully match the actual sales result. Poison Ivy sold higher than expected. And that makes it one of the better pulls from the seed pack.

Venus Fly Trap

Venus Fly Trap sold for around 3.84K Sheckles without mutations. This is quite a good price for a Mythic plant. It gets even better when weather events get involved. The Electric Venus Fly Trap from the test sold for 159K Sheckles. That is the kind of number that you’ll probably never see, but it might happen.

By normal value, Venus Fly Trap is A-Tier. With Electric or another strong mutation, it can become one of the best money plants in the game.

Ghost Pepper

Ghost Pepper is the rarest plant from the Ghost Pepper seed pack, and you can sell it for around 4.15K Sheckles. It’s also sold higher than the base value shown in the shop. That probably depends on size, but the result is still strong enough to put Ghost Pepper in A-Tier.

Dragon’s Breath

Dragon’s Breath is sold for around 4.9K Sheckles from one pick. That puts it at the top of A-Tier by normal one-time value. But this plant can be quite unfair. It can give multiple harvests. The full plant can make more total value than one picked item suggests. But this is also where I need to add an important cost warning. Dragon’s Breath seed costs 90,000,000 Sheckles, and that makes it the most expensive seed in the game.

It also protects your garden just like certain Grown a Garden 2 pets do. If another player gets hit by Dragon’s Breath, they can lose HP, die, and drop Sheckles. That makes it more useful than most plants that only sit there and look expensive.

B-Tier Plants in Grow a Garden 2

I’m moving to lower values, and those plants that sit in the B-Tier are sold between 800 and 2.7K Sheckles. They can be a possible option, but they’re far from the top money picks. You can use them only if you’ve got no better replacement.

Plant

Tested Value

Bamboo

849 Sheckles

Cherry

1.2K Sheckles

Glow Mushroom

1.25K Sheckles

Poison Apple

2.45K Sheckles

Pomegranate

2.65K Sheckles

And yeah, I’m not going to get into more detail about each plant in this category. Just make sure to replace them once you get your hands on something better.

C-Tier Plants in Grow a Garden 2

C-Tier plants sell between 100 and 500 Sheckles, and they’re only good at the very start of your garden journey. They won’t make you rich, but they can be a very limited-time stuff to sell.

Plant

Tested Value

Baby Cactus

106 Sheckles

Apple

108 Sheckles

Corn

117 Sheckles

Coconut

149 Sheckles

Mango

171 Sheckles

Tulip

174 Sheckles

Grapes

211 Sheckles

Dragon Fruit

246 Sheckles

Acorn

250 Sheckles

Horned Melon

352 Sheckles

There isn’t much to say about each plant you see in this category. They’re just basic, and they don’t bring any Sheckles. The only exception here is when you’re a complete beginner and are moving towards better plants.

D-Tier Plants in Grow a Garden 2

All D-Tier plants are sold for less than 100 Sheckles from one picked item. But the good news is that they’re easy to grow. Many of them can be multi-harvested as well. But selling them by the piece brings too little raw value.

Plant

Tested Value

Blueberry

5 Sheckles

Strawberry

18 Sheckles

Tomato

18 Sheckles

Carrot

31 Sheckles

Pineapple

39 Sheckles

Green Bean

47 Sheckles

Cactus

57 Sheckles

Banana

57 Sheckles

So far, Blueberry is the worst plant in Grow a Garden 2, as it’s sold for only around 5 Sheckles. Even at the start, that’s a very weak value. Only use this and other D-Tier plants when you’re a complete beginner.

Best Seed Pack Plants in Grow a Garden 2

The Ghost Pepper seed pack includes Baby Cactus, Horned Melon, Glow Mushroom, Poison Ivy, and Ghost Pepper. Based on the tested values, this is how I’d rank them:

Rank

Seed Pack Plant

Tested Value

Tier

1

Ghost Pepper

4.15K Sheckles

A

2

Poison Ivy

3.81K Sheckles

A

3

Glow Mushroom

1.25K Sheckles

B

4

Horned Melon

352 Sheckles

C

5

Baby Cactus

106 Sheckles

C

Ghost Pepper is the best seed pack plant by tested value. That makes sense because it’s the rarest pull from the pack. Poison Ivy is close behind, though. If you miss Ghost Pepper and get Poison Ivy instead, that’s still a good result. Glow Mushroom is decent, but it’s clearly below the top two. Horned Melon and Baby Cactus are more like side pulls. They have value, but they are not the reason you open the pack.

How I Ranked These Grow a Garden 2 Plants

I ranked these plants by one-time sell value from the test. Every plant was judged by how much one picked crop sold for.

These things were not the main ranking factors:

  1. Total profit from all harvests
  2. Regrow speed
  3. Seed cost
  4. Mutation type
  5. Weather luck
  6. Giant size potential
  7. Defensive effects

And this is why you might see your favorite plants in lower tiers than you expect. It’s totally okay here. For example, Dragon’s Breath, Poison Apple, Strawberry, Tomato, Coconut, and Pomegranate can all look better if you judge them by full harvest value instead of single-sell price.
