Murder Mystery 2 Weapon Value Explained

In MM2, weapons have rarities, and the usual logic to apply here would be that the rarer the weapon, the more expensive it is. That’s not always the case. There are seven rarity tiers:

  • Common
  • Uncommon
  • Rare
  • Legendary
  • Godly
  • Ancient
  • Unique

Though Uniques are considered to be the highest-tier weapons of the game, they’re not tradeable, apart from the one and only Corrupt. Most people chase Ancient and Godly rarities for trading, but there are exceptions. Some Ancient and Godly weapons are incredibly cheap, and some Rare and even Uncommon weapons can be worth quite a lot, especially some weapons from old events or expired codes. Besides weapons split by rarity, there are three item types in the game that change how the weapon looks:

  • Chroma: Alternative recolorings of existing Godly weapons. Harder to get than normal Godlies.
  • FX: Weapons with unique ambient effects, animations, and sounds.
  • Evo: Upgradeable weapons that can evolve from Rare to Ancient quality. Can’t be traded.

Though Chromas are among the most expensive weapons in the game, getting a Chroma doesn’t always mean an automatic ticket to the big trader leagues. Don’t fall for a weapon just cause it’s Chroma. This and all other weapon variations make the trade market complex for the uninitiated, but for those who are in the know, it creates unlimited possibilities of getting rich. Today, I’m gonna explain what Murder Mystery 2 weapons are the best for trading, which aren’t, despite their high rarity, and which are your working horses that will get you rich. Before we move on to the weapon list, let me explain the ranking criteria. It goes in order from the most important factor to the least important one:

  • Demand
  • Trade Value
  • Current Stability
  • Rarity
  • Prestige
  • Design

I’ll rank each of the weapons from this list based on this system so you know exactly how to treat it if it lands in your inventory. Do note that the market is unstable and today’s highly demanded weapon can be much less desirable in a month.

Murder Mystery 2 Value List 2026

One thing before we get into the numbers. MM2 values are community trade values. They’re not Robux prices. Think of them as a way of comparing one item against another. To make this list actually digestible, I’ve cut out weapons that aren’t worth mentioning. You can treat the list below as a most wanted list. It almost fully consists of Chroma, Ancient, and Godly rarity weapons, and I’d say most of them are quite possible to get, apart from Chroma Traveler’s Gun maybe.

As you can see, the gap between the richest and even a very decent weapon like Darkshot is kind of absurd. You could have tens of Darkshots and still not be close to a Chroma Traveler's Gun. Does that mean you should ignore every weapon below 10k value? Absolutely not. In fact, for most traders, the middle and lower sections of this table are much more useful.

Most Valuable MM2 Weapons to Invest In

If you’re someone who’s already tapped into the expensive weapons market, your next step is getting big Chromas. This doesn’t mean that you should laser-focus on getting only them, though. If you really want to become a household name in the trading market, you should have weapons that are in high demand and not just the ones everyone’s drooling for. Below is the list of high-end MM2 weapons I’d try bagging if I had enough items for trade.

Chroma Traveler's Gun

Chroma Traveler's Gun is the undisputed king of the current MM2 market. It has the highest value on the list and the best demand at 9/10. There is a catch, however. Its latest value movement was downward, so I wouldn’t trade my entire inventory for one just because it sits at number one. It being this expensive doesn’t mean that it’s gonna stay there forever. If I had enough value for trading, I’d rather go wide than chase this weapon, cause this makes your inventory varied, which means you’ll be able to grow rich faster. Don’t put your eggs in one basket, in short. Still, if we’re talking pure prestige, nothing else really competes.

Chroma Evergun and Chroma Evergreen

These two sit below Chroma Traveler's Gun and are almost 3-4 times cheaper, but are still miles ahead of almost everything else. Chroma Evergun is the stronger of the pair right now with a demand value of 8. Chroma Evergreen has slightly less demand but remains one of the richest collectibles you can actually trade for. These are more realistic top-end targets because they’re easier to find a buyer for. Well, “realistic” if having 60,000+ value lying around is realistic for you.

Chroma Constellation

Chroma Constellation is one of my favorite investments from the expensive part of the list. It has a strong demand, and its latest value movement was upward instead of downward. Some people say it’s too late to jump on that wagon, but I’d say that it’s still worth it. Then again, its moving up doesn’t guarantee a continuous rise. Nothing in MM2 does. But when most of the biggest Chromas have recently lost some value, an item moving the other way is at least worth paying attention to.

Gingerscope

Gingerscope is the Ancient weapon I’d chase first. Its value is 17,750, and it moved up just recently. It’s the only Ancient weapon in the top 10 best valuable weapons. This is also a great example of why Ancient rarity alone is worth nothing. Gingerscope is worth hundreds of times more than some other Ancients. Compare it to Icewing, which sits at around 15 value, and you’ll see just how brutal MM2 economics can get.

Chroma Sunrise and Chroma Snowcannon

Both of these are interesting because they combine a demand value of 6 with positive recent movement. They’re obviously not cheap, but they cost far less than the very top Chromas. For a rich player trying to grow an inventory instead of just showing off one gigantic item, I’d keep an eye on both.

Best MM2 Weapons for Trading Up

Here we get to the weapons I think are much more important for normal players. You don’t need a 220,000-value gun to get richer. You need items other traders actually want. My favorite MM2 workhorses right now are:

Weapon

Value

Demand

Why I Like It

Darkshot

1,550

6

Rising and easy to trade

Darksword

1,525

6

Strong demand and part of a popular set

Raygun

1,325

6

Good current growth

Blossom

1,265

6

Stable and highly demanded

Sakura

1,255

6

Stable and pairs with Blossom

Sunrise

1,000

5

Moving upward

Soul

525

5

Affordable and stable

Sunset

525

5

Useful mid-range trading weapon

Spirit

515

5

Stable and easy to pair with Soul

Darkshot and Darksword

If I were starting with a decent inventory and wanted to work my way up, I’d look at the Dark Set first. Both weapons have a demand of 6 and are currently doing well. More importantly, they’re in that nice middle ground where they’re expensive enough but not so expensive that finding a trade takes a whole day. You can trade them separately or keep the set together. Either way, they’re useful.

Raygun

Raygun is another strong option. It has 6 demand and positive growth, plus it’s cheaper than Darkshot or Darksword. That makes it a good bridge between mid-range trading and the more expensive stuff. It’s definitely not a trophy weapon, though it might be for you. I’m not judging. You’re mainly buying it so you can hopefully flip into the next trade.

Blossom and Sakura

Blossom and Sakura are some of the safest items on the list, in my opinion. They have good demand, stable value, and the Sakura Set itself is desirable. They’re not exploding in value any time soon, though, but they’re quite stable. I’d rather own something stable that people want than some non-liquid “rare” weapon.

Soul, Sunset, and Spirit

These are good choices for traders who aren’t rich yet. They sit around the 500-value area, and all have 5 demand. Great adds for trading. Combine them into bigger trades, or hold on to them while you look for an upgrade. This is the kind of inventory stock that really helps you move around the market.

MM2 Weapons I Wouldn't Invest In

This might be the most important section of the whole list. Some weapons have a high rarity, but in reality they’re not all that. Here are a few examples:

Weapon

Value

Demand

Chroma Darkbringer

70

1

Chroma Lightbringer

65

1

Chroma Luger

52

1

Chroma Candleflame

42

1

Chroma Laser

42

1

Look at that and compare it with Chroma Traveler's Gun at 220,000. Both are Chromas. Many older box Chromas have huge supplies and almost no demand nowadays. However, I’m not saying you should never take one. They can work as small change, and some look great. I just wouldn’t trade for them, expecting to grow somewhere. Same problem here:

Weapon

Value

Demand

Icebreaker

68

1

Batwing

45

1

Elderwood Scythe

42

1

Swirly Axe

42

1

Hallowscythe

32

1

Logchopper

18

1

Icewing

15

2

Being an Ancient doesn’t help them. Most have awful demand and are much harder to move than current Godlies, which are worth far more. I’d still take a good overpay, obviously. Don’t pursue them on purpose unless you like their look.

Corrupt

Corrupt deserves a separate mention. It’s an iconic one. It’s the tradeable Unique everyone knows, and owning it still has some prestige. As an investment, though? Meh. It currently sits at around 475 value with 4 demand. That’s not bad, but for roughly the same budget I’d rather have items like Soul, Spirit, or Sunset with better demand. Corrupt is more of a weapon for showing off, though who would flex with a 475 blade?

Valuable Rares and Uncommons You Shouldn't Ignore

I didn’t include low-rarity collectibles in the main MM2 value list because then this part of the article would be endless. Ironically enough, Uncommon and Rare items can be quite expensive, though it’s more of a trading item for those who know their value. The majority of the players won’t likely pay attention to them. Perhaps, the elitarity of these is what makes them desirable. Some current examples are:

  • Cane Knife 2018: around 625 value
  • Bones: around 250 value
  • Brains: around 125 value

Yeah, a Rare Cane Knife can be worth more than Corrupt. An Uncommon Bones can be worth more than Icepiercer. The usual reason is age and limited supply. Old event and code weapons can be much harder to find than a random Godly, so always check before using an old-looking low-rarity item as an add during trades.

How to Use this MM2 Value List

Don’t use any value list as an eternal guideline for your trades. This article is more of a tutorial. Always check the market value, stability, and trends on websites like MM2Values. Before a trade, I recommend checking:

  1. Current value
  2. Demand
  3. Recent movement
  4. Whether the weapon is part of a desirable set
  5. Whether people are actually offering around the listed number

A weapon worth 2,000 with no demand can be worse to own than one worth 1,500 that everyone wants. The entire goal of trading is getting someone else to accept your item eventually. Also, check more than one value source if the trade is expensive. If two major lists disagree by a lot, look at recent offers before clicking accept. Five minutes of checking is better than a day of regret. Finally, let me share this link that will help you learn how not to get tricked during your trades.

What are the best MM2 weapons to invest in?

Chroma Traveler's Gun, Chroma Evergun, Chroma Evergreen, Chroma Constellation, Gingerscope, and Traveler's Axe are strong high-end targets. For more realistic trading, I prefer Darkshot, Darksword, Raygun, Blossom, and Sakura.

No. Newer limited Chromas can be insanely expensive, but many older Chromas have very low demand and values below 100.

Gingerscope is the most valuable normal Ancient weapon worth chasing right now. Traveler's Axe is another strong option.
