How the Eldritch Gateway Ritual Works

Crimson Crawler is earned through a hidden Haunted Hollow objective, not through a standard weapon-camo challenge. The route begins only when the floating green gateway is active in the match. Its first gate is the glowing sword: it must be located at one of the known points around the Mansion, Lumbermill, or River Boat before the ritual can continue.

The sword has to reach the elevated Eldritch Gateway platform and be placed at its pedestal. This starts the final combat phase, where the gateway must be charged by clearing the undead that appear around it. Picking up the sword alone does not award the camo, and reaching the platform without completing the charge does not finish the Easter Egg.

Why the Full Route Matters

Haunted Hollow turns familiar Haven’s Hollow locations into separate parts of the ritual. The Mansion’s altered gravity, the burning Lumbermill, and the River Boat are not simply visual changes - they are the possible starting points for the quest item. Other squads can reach the same locations, so the workload is shaped by the live match as well as the ritual itself.

The camo unlock is triggered by a successful gateway completion in-game. It is not delivered through a trade, tied to a chosen weapon’s ordinary camo progress, or replaced by a match win. If an attempt ends before the gateway is fully charged, the ritual has to be started again in another Haunted Hollow match.

Is Crimson Crawler part of Camo Costume Party?

No. Crimson Crawler is a separate Haunted Hollow Easter Egg reward. Camo Costume Party uses weapon-class challenges across the game’s modes, while this camo requires completion of the Eldritch Gateway ritual in Warzone.

Can the ritual be completed in one attempt?

Yes, if the sword is found, delivered to the platform, and the gateway charge is completed before the attempt is interrupted. Map timing, enemy squads, and the final undead phase can require another match.
