What are Prismana Aniimo?

Prismana Aniimo are rare and special Aniimo that feature a different appearance as well as new or changed abilities and, potentially, different elemental types. Overall, there are 27 Prismana Aniimo you can obtain in the game through various means.

  • 14 Prismana Aniimo can be obtained through Prismana Flow.
  • 8 Prismana Aniimo are provided to players as quest rewards.
  • 4 Prismana Aniimo are available during their Vein Abundance Week.
  • Irisalis is a Legendary Prismana Aniimo that is obtained by collecting 99 Irisalis Petals.

Prismana Aniimo are essentially unique upgraded versions of their respective Aniimo. Although their stats stay the same, their new traits provide significant advantages for combat and exploration. This is why the game makes sure you learn about them early on, prompting you to pick your first Prismana Aniimo during the story quest, while you’re still far behind the lvl 40 requirement to actually use it.

Prismana Flow

You can find more than half of a wide Prismana Aniimo cast by relying on a special Prismana Flow weather effect in their respective regions. Once you notice it occurring somewhere, you can run to said region and look for Prismana Aniimo that might appear in the wild. The full list includes:

Prismana Aniimo

Region

Blazen

Blitzwood

Cornet

The Mistwoods

Ignitis

Zephyrus Landbridge

Panpanta

While you absolutely can and should use random Prismana Flows to your benefit, there are far more reliable ways to get a Prismana Aniimo than waiting for perfect weather. Namely, triggering this weather effect yourself.

There are two ways you can do it.

Nurturing the Bloom

Once you’ve earned the region’s Bronze Badge, you are allowed to Nurture at the region’s Bloom (check the Branch screen). Every day, you get one free Nurture, and you’re allowed to save up to three of them. However, if you have spare Vein Essence, you can Nurture up to 15 or 25 times a day depending on your Branch progression.

Now, when you trigger a Wild Surge and catch the Aniimo, the area’s Prismatic Energy rises, increasing the odds of getting a Prismana Aniimo. If the meter is full, the drop is guaranteed.

You will inevitably run out of Vein Essence at some point, so remember to earn some more before you return to the Bloom. It’s a good thing that there are many ways to get it, from catch completion and Branch progression to The Stamp Shop, Elite Training rewards, and Holo-Battle Interlink.

Admittedly, this isn’t the most efficient way to obtain Prismana Aniimo, but the upside is that it doesn’t necessarily require spending any resources, which is great during your early game. I mostly rely on it before I get a Silver Badge in the area.

Ecosystem Intervention

When you earn the region’s Silver Badge, you unlock Ecosystem Intervention, which allows you to change the weather in the area. If your Branch is infused with 60 Lumin Amber, you can feed the Branch one Prismana Crystal to trigger Prismana Flow over the region. The limit is three Crystals per day with a minute-long cooldown between each use. After that, just hunt the region until you get the Aniimo you need.

Quest Rewards

First of all, after you become a Junior Wayfarer, you are allowed to claim one Prismana Aniimo for free through the Prismana Pact. Note that you don’t have to take the one you picked initially — the game allows you to change your choice before claiming the reward. I highly recommend choosing the one that fits you rather than blindly copying the tier list. Also, it’s just more fun to try the one you actually want to try instead of doing whatever anyone else is doing.

You can get the rest of Prismana Aniimo by completing different tasks and getting achievements. Some of these are very demanding, so it’ll take some time before you can catch’em all.

  • Prismana Infergon Egg is unlocked when you reach level 12 in the season Achievement Journey, which requires 10,000 achievement points.
  • Prismana Fulmintis Egg is unlocked at level 20 of the Advanced Edition Companion Handbook.
  • Prismana Sherro is a reward for beating Lita during the level 65 rematch.
  • Prismana Iris is a reward for completing A Fragrant Dream, which requires a lot of adventuring to collect 10 different perfumes.
  • Prismana Somniwing is a reward for getting 180 Badges in Elite Training.
  • Prismana Fenmane Egg is unlocked at RV level 10. There are lots of various prerequisites here: from reaching 13,000 Habitability and completing the “Dream Cottage: Part 2” quest to placing 20 farmland plots, 10 woodland plots, and 5 mines. The upgrade will also cost you 510,000 Home Coins, 2,000 Rough Lumber, and 2,400 Coarse-Sifted Ore.
  • Prismana Sparkelf requires completing its dedicated event and earning 500 Fire Bolts (essentially, event-specific points).
  • Prismana Irisal is only obtainable by evolving Prismana Iris. Prismana Irisalis, the Legendary next step of Irisal evolution, is obtainable by collecting 99 Irisalis Petals and following a short quest in the Vein Rift.

Vein Abundance

Four Prismana Aniimo — Glynsera, Inferlupa, Melloblum, and Waleetle — can be obtained through weekly Vein Abundance events. All that’s required from you is checking out the event’s page and following the instructions in the specific nurturing area. Your other option is Prismana Carnival in case you miss an event featuring the Aniimo you need.

Tips on Efficient Prismana Aniimo Farming

Overall, the more progress you’ve made throughout the game, the easier it is to get Prismana Aniimo, since there are multiple different perks, bonuses, and subsystems that upgrade the odds or speed things up for you. If you ask me, there’s no need to heavily focus on grinding Prismana Aniimo right off the bat. It will come naturally to you.

That said, here are some actual tips.

First of all, growing your Branch helps a lot. For instance, it only requires 10 Lumin Amber to increase your chances of catching Aniimo by 10% in Breezy Plains, and 30 Lumin Amber increases your daily Nurture Ecosystem cap by 10.

Secondly, get full advantage of the daily bonuses: your first Prismatic Energy gain is doubled, so try to make that count.

Third, as I’ve established earlier, badges matter a ton, and you should try to get a Gold one so that you can unlock Prismatic Resonance, which makes Surges noticeably more efficient.

Fourth, the game rewards regular cooperation with your friends, so participating in a Wild Surge in your friend’s world will also grow your world’s energy depending on how many friendship perks you’ve got.

Finally, don’t forget to regularly check events to not miss some great and lucrative bonuses to your Nurturing or Prismatic Energy growth. The game loves to throw activities at you, so you might as well complete some of them if they promise juicy rewards.
