Marvel Rivals Avengers Endgame Event Explained

Path to Doomsday - Avengers: Endgame is the second major MCU-themed mode introduced in Season 10.5, following the Avengers: Infinity War event. This time, developers have made a full-on raid, taken straight from WoW. A total of 50 players join forces against Thanos and his army in this epic PvE event. The battle recreates the ruined Avengers Compound from the ending of Avengers: Endgame, with the entire lobby working toward the same goal of defeating the Mad Titan. Brace your CPUs. The event starts on October 22 at 09:00 UTC and goes until November 26 at 09:00 UTC. The event page and rewards become available on October 22, but the mode itself only opens on October 24. The 50-player count is a very ambitious goal. I wonder how Unreal Engine 5 will handle so many effects from players and not crash. Since the mode isn’t released yet and there’s barely any info, I can only speculate about what’s to come. The developers do not call it a raid, from what’s known to me, but it’ll clearly have some raid mechanics and thus be pretty challenging, so unleash your strongest characters. From what we can see in the trailer, Thanos starts with a double-sided sword and then switches to the Infinity Gauntlet at around 50% of his health. We can expect various effects for each of the stones from the Gauntlet, and we’re also likely to work as a team split into smaller groups to deal with them.

How to Play the Avengers Endgame Event

For some reason, the Endgame battle does not stay available at all times during the event, unlike Zombie mode, which was available anytime you wanted to play it. NetEase is opening it during specific time windows, with the first two sessions scheduled for October 24 from 01:00 to 03:00 UTC and 18:00 to 20:00 UTC. Further details will be added with the release of the mode. The important thing for now is that this isn’t an activity you can simply queue for whenever you feel like it. Check the active session times before logging in specifically for the Thanos fight.

How the Marvel Rivals Thanos Fight Works (WIP)

All we know as a community right now is that there will be 50 players fighting Thanos and his forces. There will also be stages during the fight. That’s pretty much where information on mechanics ends. Once the details and the mechanics of the fight become available on October 24, this section of the guide will be updated. Best Heroes for Each Role in the Avengers Endgame Event (WIP)

Considering you can play every character from an expansive roster of Marvel Rivals and there’s no limitation on picking the same characters as other players in the lobby, we’re bound to see meta heroes and villains. For now, there isn’t enough data to rank the heroes for the fight. I don’t think I’ll include all 54 characters, but you’ll find at least 5-10 best heroes for each role, be it Vanguards, Duelists, or Strategists.

 

 

Marvel Rivals Avengers Endgame Event Rewards (WIP)

All that’s known so far is that you get Captain America: The Winter Soldier skin, which NetEase says can be earned for free while playing the Endgame event. There are additional event rewards as well, although the full track with rewards hasn’t been revealed yet. Times Square also has two Endgame activities available for the duration of the event:

• Avengers: Endgame Gallery Card: Watch the Endgame Highlights Screening in Times Square continuously for two minutes
• 100 Units: Visit the Endgame photo walls outside the Avengers' Gift Shop and take a group photo with the NPCs

Both Times Square activities start together with the event, from October 22, so you can collect those rewards even before the PvE mode becomes available.
