What You Need Before Starting

I’ve got the three main requirements you have to meet before you can start leveling Valeera with this method:

Requirement

Description

Tier 11 Delves Unlocked

Higher Delve tiers give more Valeera XP from Mislaid Curiosities you’ll pick on each run

Dundun’s Favor

Automatically loots Mislaid Curiosities when you run over them

Ring of Glory, Open Night

Best tested layout as of Midnight Season 2 because you can mount and move quickly

The most challenging part here would be unlocking Tier 11 Delves. It’s done by completing a Tier 10 Delve with lives remaining. After that, you can enter Tier 11 and get better XP from Mislaid Curiosities. Completing the entire Delve 11 isn’t necessary with this farm method.

Dundun’s Favor can drop from Delve reward chests, and you’ll probably have it by that time when you’re ready to start. Even Rank 1 is enough to pick up Mislaid Curiosities automatically. This saves a ton of time throughout each run, especially when you can do this mounted.

Best Delve to Level Valeera Fast

I’ve tested several instances, and honestly, Ring of Glory on the Open Night story variant is the best Delve to run when using this method. You can mount inside and move around to pick up Mislaid Curiosities only. Don’t fight any mob packs, don’t do any objectives. Collect XP pickups and leave the instance. Then, start again and do this until you have Valeera leveled up to 80.

The second best option is the Grudge Pit Delve. It can also work, especially if you played Season 1 and remember that farm. The problem is that Grudge Pit has more mob density, and you can’t mount there. It’ll be a slower route unless you’re on a very comfortable stealth class that can avoid fighting mobs along the way.

How the Valeera XP Farm Works

The main thing I like about this XP farm is that you don’t have to grind mobs. But that’s only the case if you go for Ring of Glory on the Open Night story variant, of course. This farm takes minimal effort. Here’s how you level up Valeera fast:

  1. Enter Tier 11 Ring of Glory on the Open Night story variant.
  2. Make sure Dundun’s Favor is equipped.
  3. Mount up.
  4. Run around the Delve and look for Mislaid Curiosities.
  5. Move directly over each Curiosity to auto-loot it.
  6. Do not stop to fight mobs.
  7. After collecting around 9-10 Curiosities, leave the Delve.
  8. Re-enter and repeat.

With Dundun’s Favor, just running over them is enough. It also works while mounted, unmounted, in combat, and out of combat. Normally, farming Delve XP would mean clearing enemies and finishing objectives. Here, you skip almost all of that. The XP comes from the Curiosities, not from killing mobs.

Why Tier 11 Is Best

The higher the tier, the more Mislaid Curiosities will drop. They directly scale with Delve tier. Also, you don’t fight enemies when using this XP farm method for Valeera. Your task is to run through and collect pickups along the way. Doing the same on lower tiers is possible, but it would take much longer to get Valeera to level 80 in this case.

How Long Does Valeera Leveling Take?

I’ve tested this method and managed to get my Valeera from level 60 to 80 in around 3-4 hours. But that’s only if you’re farming Tier 11, of course. Also, the exact time depends on the following:

  • How many Mislaid Curiosities spawn in each run;
  • How fast you can spot them;
  • Whether you use L00T RAID-R Mini;
  • What class/spec you farm on;
  • How often mobs slow you down;
  • How cleanly you reset each run.

There’s probably a sort of soft cap around 10 Mislaid Curiosities per Delve run. This means you’re not likely to get more than 9 or 10 of them. Once you have this number, you can restart the run and collect them again.

Use Loot Radar Mini If You Have It

Loot Radar Mini, a.k.a L00T RAID-R Mini, isn’t the most essential item here, but it might help you farm XP for Valeera even faster. I highly recommend using it if you have one. It highlights lootable objects, which makes Mislaid Curiosities easier to spot when you’re rushing through the Delve.

You can get Loot Radar Mini from Delve reward chests. If you still have some from earlier content, check your bank, bags, and Warband bank. They can still be useful here. One thing to remember: the radar marker can remain after you already picked up the Curiosity. Don’t get baited by old markers and run back to empty spots. Try to remember which ones you already collected during that run.

Best Classes and Specs for the Farm

You can do this farm on any character because Valeera’s level progression is Warbound. That means you do not need to farm on one specific alt. Use whichever character makes the run fastest and safest. With that in mind, any tank spec would be preferable for this XP farm. DPS and healer specs can get dazed and dismounted when mobs hit them from behind. Tanks can still be dazed, but they do not get dismounted the same way. That saves a lot of time. So far, the best classes and specs for this farm would be:

Class / Spec

Description

Guardian Druid

Travel Form, Bear Form, Frenzied Regeneration

Protection Paladin

Tank durability and Crusader Aura

Blood Death Knight

Tank durability and On a Pale Horse

Any geared tank

Less dismounting, easier to ignore mobs

Rogue / Druid stealth

Useful in Grudge Pit or crowded areas

Guardian Druid is probably the most comfortable pick. You can use Travel Form, swap into Bear Form if mobs start hurting, press Frenzied Regeneration, then keep moving. Paladin and Death Knight are also great because they have mounted movement bonuses through Crusader Aura or On a Pale Horse. If you do not have a tank spec, buy Comfortable Rider’s Barding from the Auction House and put it in your mount equipment slot. This prevents daze from dismounting you while mounted.

How to Reset Runs Fast

Once you collect around 9-10 Mislaid Curiosities, leave the Delve and go back in. You can leave it by doing the following:

  • using the Leave Delve button;
  • using a leave macro if you already have one;
  • running back out manually;
  • dying if you are stuck in combat and it’s faster.

If you are stuck fighting half the Delve, it may be faster to run straight out or just die and reset. The important part is not to waste time trying to “finish” the Delve. Completion is not the point of this method. If you stay too long after Curiosities stop appearing, your XP per hour drops hard.

Traps and Annoying Things to Watch For

There are a few traps inside the farm route that can slow you down:

  • Hex Pile - can hex you for around 10 seconds.
  • Slicing Blade - can apply a bleed.
  • Thrusting Spear - can knock you back.

These are not usually deadly, but they are annoying because they waste time. And in this farm, you don’t want to spend time being slowed or dazed. You will also accidentally aggro mobs. Do not stop and fight them unless you absolutely must. Killing enemies gives much worse Valeera XP per hour than collecting Mislaid Curiosities.

Grudge Pit Alternative for Valeera XP Farm

Like I’ve said, you can go for Grudge Pit as an alternative way of farming XP for Valeera. This isn’t worth, but you might want to do this just as an experiment or to diversify your Delve running experience. But in most cases, it would be noticeably slower compared to Ring of Glory. I’ve figured out a few possible situations where you might want to go for Grudge Pit instead:

  • Ring of Glory has a bad variant that day;
  • you are on Rogue or Druid;
  • you know the Grudge Pit layout well;
  • you only need a few levels.

Still, if Open Night Ring of Glory is available, I would farm there instead.

F.A.Q.

What is the fastest way to level Valeera to 80?

Farm Mislaid Curiosities in Tier 11 Ring of Glory with Dundun’s Favor equipped.

How long does Valeera 60-80 leveling take?

It takes around 3-4 hours if you reset runs quickly and collect the maximum number of Mislaid Curiosities on your way.

Do I need to complete the Delve to get Valeera XP?

It’s not necessary to fully complete the Delve. Collect 9-10 Mislaid Curiosities, leave the Delve, re-enter, and repeat.

How do I get Dundun’s Favor?

Dundun’s Favor drops from Delve reward chests, and Rank 1 is enough for this farm.

Why is Tier 11 best for Valeera XP?

Tier 11 gives more XP per Mislaid Curiosity, and you don’t need to fight mobs anyway.

What is the best class for this Valeera XP farm?

Guardian Druid is best, but any tank spec works well because tanks avoid mount dismounts from daze.
