How to Farm Mythic Prankster Sigil in Diablo 4

When the Mythic Uniques first appeared in the third season, they became very important for high-end builds, as they are often the best-in-slot item you can find. The problem is that the chance of getting them even from the toughest challenges is super low. That was the case until a certain affix was introduced to Nightmare Dungeon sigils. Any Nightmare Dungeon sigil you get may have a Mythic Prankster modifier. This means that during the dungeon run, you’ll encounter a special loot goblin that drops 5 Mythic Uniques and a Resplendent Spark upon death. You'll find out everything you need to know about the Diablo 4 Mythic Prankster Sigil farm. It’s gonna take some time to get one. Still, it’s better than relying on complete RNG or salvaging multiple Mythic Uniques to craft one.

So how do you even farm this elusive Sigil? You can just try and brute-force your way into getting one while closing the high-end content, like Helltides or Uber Bosses. This is extremely unreliable. I’ll teach you the fastest Mythic Prankster Sigil farm. BTW, before I start explaining the loop. You have to know that you might never get a Mythic Prankster affix on the Sigil. Like ever. Even with this guide in your hands. Below are 12 steps you’ll need to follow to have a chance to get one or even a few of these Sigils. Stay awhile and listen. Here’s how to farm Mythic Prankster Sigil in Diablo 4:

1. Get Living Steel: You’d want to get around 204 or more of Living Steel. You farm them during the Helltide, which you probably already know if you’ve been playing the game. You’ll need this amount just once. You’ll refill your stocks naturally while doing this farming loop.
2. Equip Essence: You need Essence of Sin and Hellfire. Both should be level 5. When doing the Lair Boss, fit the Essence of Hellfire into a Purified slot. The Essence of Sin goes into the corrupted one. The Essence of Sin increases the sigil drops, and the Hellfire increases the chance of getting better loot. While doing this farming loop, I’ve got a Mythic Shroud of False Death, so don’t sleep on them. Oh, and also don’t forget to switch the Essences between the slots when doing the world bosses.
3. Beat Grigoire: Now go and farm this poor lad Grigoire. It costs 12 Living Steel to open his chest. You’re aiming to get Shards of Agony and Stygian Stones. I did it on Torment IV, but you may do this on a lower difficulty. Just bear in mind that loot becomes worse, too.
4. Farm Duriel: Onto our next victim. All of the Shards of Agony you’ve farmed will be spent here. Turn all Stygian Stones into them as well. Your aim here is to farm Corrupted Horns of Duriel. Now listen closely as I’m about to drop some wisdom (it’s actually pretty well-known inside of the community, but I’ll act like it’s not.) The Corrupted items are working in a way that they will not drop if your inventory has 20 or more of them. You know what that means? Do not pick up Corrupted Horns. Leave them be until you run out of Shards of Agony for the chest.
5. Farm Belial: Now go and kill Belial. Yeah, it’s that simple. I hope that Belial has invaded you while you were farming Grigoire and Duriel, and you have at least 2 Betrayer’s Husks in your inventory. Every Belial kill will give 5 Corrupted Eyes of Belial. Remember what I said before? Don’t pick them up til you run out of the Husks.
6. Summon Azmodan: Switch the Essences before killing Azmodan! Essence of Sin into a Purified slot and the Essence of Hellfire into a Corrupted slot. Go to the south of Zarbinzet and summon the meathead there. Killing him lets you open two chests, and they’re the main way you’re gonna be farming Nightmare Sigils. They don’t drop every single time, though. I got them from the first kill, but a friend of mine got them only after three tries.
7. Open the Chests: You’ll be able to open the chests after defeating Azmodan and using 5 Corrupted Eyes on one and 5 Corrupted Horns on the other. Duriel’s chest is super important, as it drops a ton of boss materials. It drops around 50 Living Steels and 20 flasks of Exquisite Blood. These chests are the best sources for Mythic Prankster Nightmare Sigils.
8. Check the Sigils: After you’ve gotten the Sigils, check every single one. There will be more than your inventory might fit. Don’t teleport to town until you check every sigil. The reason is pretty stupid: if you teleport before you check and drop every sigil, they will just despawn. That’s why you need to pick and only then drop them. I was lucky and got the Mythic Prankster after only 5 tries, but my friend didn’t get any. That’s why it’s better to farm the chests in a party, as you increase the chances of the needed loot dropping.
9. Salvage the Sigils: After you’ve done this tedious process, go to the Occultist and salvage the Sigils you don’t need. You can then craft more Sigils from the materials the salvaging gives you.
10. Punch Lord Zir in the Face: Go and spend your Exquisite Blood to fight Lord Zir. His chest drops Pincushioned Dolls that will come in handy on the next step.
11. Summon Andariel: Fight the boss and open her chest. It costs 3 Pincushioned Dolls on Torment IV. Andariel drops another type of Corrupted item, so the rule applies here as well. Open the chests, and only after you’ve run out of Pincushioned Dolls, pick up the Corrupted Claws of Andariel.
12. Repeat the Loop: That’s everything you need for farming Mythic Prankster Sigils. It’s basically a boss run. Mind-numbing, potentially boring, but easy. Don’t forget that Mythic Uniques can drop during the farming process.

This farming cycle is the best I can offer you to increase the chances of the Mythic Prankster affix dropping. You’re a lucky person if you already have the needed materials to go and farm Azmodan. Mythic Prankster Sigil Farming Tips

Grinding can be as fun as watching the paint dry. The power fantasy ends fast, and the thirst for the next power spike needs to be quenched once more. After thinking for some time, I came up with these Mythic Prankster Sigil farming tips. They’re not always connected to the game, but it’s something that helps during the grind immensely:

• Farm on Torment IV: Any difficulty below significantly decreases your odds of finding a Mythic Prankster Sigil. They still drop on lower Torment difficulties, but the chance is lower. The number of them is lower too. Even if it’s tougher, focus on Torment IV.
• Grind in a Party: Killing Bosses is more fun with friends. You also majorly increase the chances of the sigil dropping. Even if you don’t get the Mythic, at least your friends will. Another good point is that you don’t have to concentrate on the game too hard and can chat about current newsbreaks.
• Don’t Overgrind: When you are on a grind streak and feel tired of it, stop for today. The Mythics aren’t going anywhere. You’ll burn out fast if you spend the whole day doing it. Go drink a tea or watch the second season of Fallout. Speaking of which.
• Switch Essences: Don’t forget switching the Essences when doing the world bosses and grinding for Sigils. I’ve described where you need to put them before, so I won’t repeat myself again.
• Don’t Mix Farming Approaches: If you’ve decided to go for the Mythic Prankster approach of getting Uniques, do not mix the farming loops. Your approach is all about sigil volume. The Sigils that increase the chances of Mythic Uniques dropping after clearing the Nightmare Dungeon are good and all, but I suggest you store them for later if all else fails.
• Expect the Worst, Hope for Best: Even if you do everything perfectly, there’s still a (high) chance of not getting any Mythics. We’ve all been there.
• Do the World Bosses: Don’t lock yourself in the tunnel vision of farming Azmodan only. You can get Nightmare Sigils from World Bosses, too. Don’t forget to put Essence of Sin in Purified before killing them.

This Diablo 4 Mythic Uniques farming method is decent, since if you get the right Sigil, you can expect 5 guaranteed Mythic Uniques dropping from a loot goblin. Even if they’re not the ones you’re looking for, you still get a Resplendent Spark, which you can then use to craft the needed Mythic.
