But I gotta warn you about those codes starting with ZZZ, as they’re so-called alternative codes. It means that only one code from that group can usually be redeemed per account. You’ve got the two main ways of how you can redeem codes in ZZZ: directly in the game or through the official redemption website. I usually go for the website method because it’s much faster when you’re redeeming a batch of codes right away. But they both work just fine, use whatever you want.

But before you redeem your first code, there are a few requirements to meet. You’ll have to finish the early tutorial progression and reach Inter-Knot Level 5, and only then will the redemption option become available. This might not be that obvious for complete beginners in the game, but those are the requirements you gotta meet.

How to Redeem ZZZ Codes Through the Browser

Let’s begin with a more common way and redeem ZZZ codes through the browser. Here’s a step-by-step instruction for that:

1. Open the official redemption page
2. Log into your account
3. Select the correct server
4. Pick the right character profile
5. Paste the active code
6. Click Redeem
7. Launch the game
8. Open your mailbox and claim the rewards

I like this way of redeeming codes just because I don’t have to launch my game. I then enter the server and simply claim all the rewards waiting for me already.

How to Redeem ZZZ Codes In-Game

But there’s another way of how you can claim your free rewards by using ZZZ codes, and that’s directly through the game. Check out what you need to do:

1. Open Zenless Zone Zero
2. Log into the account you want to use
3. Open the main menu
4. Select More from the bottom menu
5. Choose Redemption Code
6. Paste the active code into the text box
7. Press Redeem
8. Open your mailbox and claim the rewards

Always copy and paste the code instead of typing it manually. One wrong letter or extra space can kill the redemption, and then you’ll spend five minutes blaming the game. But I’ll get to this later in the guide, too.

Why Don’t ZZZ Codes Work?

In most cases you’re typing a code wrong, but other problems might appear as well. In this section of the guide, I’ve gathered the most common issues that you’ll probably encounter when an active code can’t be redeemed properly.

Wrong Server	Region-limited codes may only work on specific servers.
Account Requirements Are Not Met	A fresh account needs early tutorial progress and Inter-Knot Level 5 first.

The developers follow quite a predictable pattern of releasing more codes for Zenless Zone Zero. And I personally see no reason for them to stop doing so. They release a new batch of codes during big updates, livestreams, events, collabs, seasonal promos, and so on. Even hitting a new community milestone is a good reason to celebrate this with new codes coming out.
