Paradox Junction Main Quest Walkthrough

Paradox Junction is a much simpler Zombies map, compared to Astra Malorum, at least in my opinion. Just like in Astra Malorum, you’ll need to unlock the Pack-a-Punch and build a wunderwaffe to start the Easter Egg properly. Let’s get to the Paradox Junction main quest walkthrough.

Step 1: Getting Blundergat

First, you will need to find four wonder weapon parts. You can do this in any order. To start getting the parts, you'll need to travel to the past version of Nuketown to unlock Pack-a-Punch. Here's how you do that:

  1. Yellow House Backyard: If you're colorblind like me, it's the one with swings. Go out of the house on the first floor and go straight until you hit a wooden fence. There you'll find keys on a corpse.
  2. Teleport to the Past: You'll be automatically teleported there after the radhound wave ends.
  3. Move the Truck: There's a truck on the road that blocks access to other houses. Move it with the keys and go further.
  4. Shoot the Orbs: You'll see them flying in the sky. Shoot them, and they'll release Pack-a-Punch.

Now that you've finished with the preparation, it's time to look for gun parts.

The Stock

Once you've unlocked the Pack-a-Punch, return to the present and look for the blood splatters on the walls. There are 3 known locations, one is inside the yellow house garage, another one is inside the green house, at the top of the stairs, third one is in Trinity Avenue, where the kids' drawings are. One of these splatters will play a sound cue next to it. Travel to the past, and you'll see that the blood splatter has disappeared. Throw a grenade at the wall and explode it. Return to the present, and behind it you'll find the stock.

The Barrel

This one is probably easiest to get. You need to get to the reward spores, outside the yellow car garage. One of them will be emitting a sound cue, similar to that of the blood splatters. Wait for it to pop and collect the barrel.

The Hammer

First, find the vials on the second floor of the yellow house in the nuked variant of the map. Take these vials to the greenhouse kitchen and use them on the sink on the first floor. You'll fill it up with acid upon interaction.

Fill your vials with it and then return to the normal Nuketown. You now want to find the mannequins and pour the acid on their heads. Returning to the present, destroyed version of the map, you'll find that the mannequin's heads are melted open, and you can pick up the rewards from them. One of the mannequins, you guessed it, emits the sound cue that signals that another part of the Blundergat is inside it. Simply spill acid on it and take it in present.

The Sealant

Final part of the Blundergat crafting. Go to the bedroom on the second floor of the yellow house and look at the bottom of the bookcase next to the wall. You'll find sealant there.

Once you get all four of these parts, go to the present and find a truck that stands in the middle of the road between two houses. You need to melee the box that stands there, and it'll open. Interact with it, and you'll create the Blundergat. Now, it's time to upgrade it. Here's how to upgrade Blundergat to Sundergat.

Step 1.5: Upgrading to Sundergat

At the start of each round, you'll find a fiery tornado that spawns a unique zombie. The zombie glows with blueish energy. It'll start following you.

  • Take the zombie close to the bench you've crafted the Blundergat at. You need to kill it there. Doing this will start filling the bench with this blue energy. Be careful, as other zombies and spores will drain this zombie's health, so go up to the tornado only closer to the end of the round, when there aren't a lot of zombies around.
  • You need to repeat it three times, and on the final third time, the tornado will spawn a Mimic. Take this Mimic to the bench just like before and kill it there.

If you've done everything correctly, the bench should now glow blue. Travel to the past, melee the bench, and put the Blundergat inside. When you return to the present destroyed Nuketown, the Sundergat will be inside.

Step 2: Getting the Chalk

To start this step, you need to first locate the RC-XD remote. It spawns in three potential locations in the nuked version of Nuketown.

  • Yellow House Garage: Broken shelf on the north-east of the building.
  • Green House Backyard: Go to the garden bed behind a wooden fence.

To the Right of Pack-a-Punch: You'll find boxes filled with dirt to the right of the Pack-a-Punch, and in the right corner of these boxes, you may find a remote.

Activating the remote will spawn an RC-XD that you then need to get on top of the boxes that you can see in the picture above. Once you get there, you need to drive towards the broken house and jump at the end. You'll land behind the barricade, then you need to enter the garage using the broken door and explode the RC-XD next to the barrel. After the RC-XD is destroyed, you can now enter the garage on Trinity Street and take the chalk.

Now you need to return to the Nuketown past and go to the yellow house backyard and shoot the swing on the left to take the Swing Seat. Return to the present and go to the same swing there. Place the seat and chalk there, and you'll start a cutscene with Twins.

Step 3: Collecting the Wood and Starting a Fire

After the cutscene ends, turn back and go into the yellow house garage and look on the shelf next to the south-eastern wall. You'll find seeds there that you need to pick up and take them to the past and plant them in the dirtbed. The dirtbed is next to the back left house on Trinity Street. Use your Sundergat to fill the tree with zombie souls. Return to the present and throw a combat axe at the grown tree to harvest three logs.

Return to the past. Head to the yellow house guestroom on the first floor and place the logs into the firepit. Throw a Molotov at these logs, and it'll start the next step.

Step 4: X Marks the Spot

Go to the Nuked town and go to Trinity Street. You'll find a big X drawn on the ground. Go back to the past and interact with the Trinity street driveway, and the Twins will spawn.

After interacting with them, you'll need to play hopscotch. You need to jump on the tiles in numerical order, from 1 to 12, and then back. Be careful, as there's a black aura travelling between these tiles, and if you step on it, you'll have to start over.

After completion of this part, the music box will spawn. Follow it around and shoot all the zombies next to it with Sundergat to fill the box with their souls. It'll eventually lead you to the yellow house guest room, where you'll see the box sitting on top of the fireplace.

Step 5: Piano Puzzle

Is it Silent Hill all over again? This step is probably the most complicated, unless you already know the code. First, to activate this step, you need to go to the present Nuked version of the town and go to the green house backyard. At some point during the round, a unique zombie named Music Teacher will spawn. Brain Rot, the music teacher, and lead her to the piano. After that, return to the past, and you'll see the teacher still playing the piano. This was needed to open the piano top.

Now, the main puzzle starts. It's important to say that you can skip doing this puzzle. Just go to the piano and press the keys in the following order: 8-6-7-5-6-5-3-5. I don't know if you'll have a different set of numbers, but from the reports of other players, this seems to be a constant combination. Just in case, I'll explain how to do this puzzle in full.

Return to the present Nuketown, and you need to find glowing musical notes. I won't explain where to find them, just refer to the image above, where all the locations are marked. Each of the glowing notes will light up anywhere between 1 and 8 times. Remember how many times each note lights up. You then need to interact with them in the order of how many times each of them lit up, starting from one.

Return to the past. Above the piano, you'll see eight symbols on the wall with a bass clef above them. Interact with the piano, and it'll show you eight keys you need to interact with. Depending on what melody you have, you need to input the notes in the correct order. Just find any note cheatsheet online.

Step 6: Another X on Trinity Street

Return to the present Nuketown, and you'll see another X between Trinity Street and the cul-de-sac. It's important that you see the X, cause it'll spawn the zombies, floating in the air. Usually behind the green house and occasionally in the backyard of the yellow house. Just look outside the map's bounds, and you'll notice them.

You'll need to shoot three zombies and gather their souls. After you collect them, go back to the past, and in the place where an X was, you'll see three orbs. It starts yet another mini-game where the ball hits the ground, and zombies spawn around it. You need to shoot zombies while they're in the air. Repeat this 5 times. After it, the page will spawn.

It'll act just like the music box, moving around the map. Fill it with souls with your Sundergat, and it'll lead you to the piano.

Step 7: Headset and Goggles.

Head back to the present and look behind the trash cans outside the green house garage. You should find a headset there. The goggles spawn left to the Pack-a-Punch machine in the Nuked version of the map, on top of the pole with megaphones. They'll fall out of bounds, so to retrieve them, you'll need Wisp Tea. After you've done this, return to the past and head to the location where you did the ball mini game. To the right of it, you'll find a box where you need to place the goggles and the headset.

Step 8: Pass the Ball

Return to the present and head to Trinity Street. Locate the boxes seen in the picture and climb on top of them. This spawns the same ball that was used in a mini game.

Shoot this ball to move it in the direction of the green house backyard, where you'll find another X. You need to place the ball dead center of the cross, otherwise the next sequence won't start. Head to the past and return to the X location. You'll find Twins drawing a square on the ground.

Interact with it, and it will start another mini-game. In this mini-game, you have to hit the ball so that it moves around the four squares. The rules are simple - don't let it land outside of the squares and don't let it land on the same square twice.

After completing this mini game, you'll see a projection that you'll need to follow and siphon the souls of the zombies by killing them, much like with the music box and the page. This time, it'll head towards the box with a headset and goggles.

Step 9: Starting the Boss Fight

This is the final step before the boss encounter. Locate a broken clock in the present on the roof of the green house. You'll see red and white hands on the clock that you need to line up at 12 o'clock.

After that, interact with the portal that moves you into the past, and as you do that, fire a charged Sungergat shot at the clock hands. After teleporting to the past, you'll see an orb flying towards the piano. It starts a short scene with the twins, after which you need to move to the yellow house swings and interact with them. This starts the boss fight.

How to Destroy Dark Heart Boss in BO7 Zombies

The boss fight itself is not too difficult, as the boss barely tries to kill you. The boss fight consists of destroying the spores and defending the Twins from zombie hordes. It consists of three stages with minimal changes between them. First, let's talk about the best loadout for Paradox Junction:

Slot

Name

Equipment

Monkey Bomb

Ammo Mod

Brain Rot

Weapon Augments

Caustic Fumes, Extension, Super Serum.

Minor Augment

Fully Equipped

Brainrot will be very handy during the defense sections, as it turns zombies into allies, and with Sundergat, you increase your chances of procing the effect. Caustic Fumes does AoE damage to enemies that are not charmed by Brain Rot. Extension makes the Brain Rot duration longer, Super Serum makes your charmed zombies deal more damage. Fully Equipped grants another Monkey Bomb to draw your enemies' attention.

Dark Heart Stage 1

During the first stage, you should destroy the Spores in the backyards of the houses and near the entrance to Trinity St. After that, you'll see an orb flying to one of the relics, and Twins will spawn, whom you need to protect from the hordes. After protecting all three relics, the boss will become vulnerable to damage. The boss has weak spots that look like cracks in the heart. Shooting them does more damage. Be careful, as Dark Heart spawns more zombies around it. Once you deal enough damage to take 1/3 of the boss's health, you'll move on to stage 2.

Dark Heart Stage 2

This stage is very similar to the previous one. The only change here is that you need to shoot orbs that look like the ones that spawned Pack-a-Punch instead of spores. The location of the orbs is the same.

Dark Heart Stage 3

This stage is the hardest of the bunch. It spawns fire tornadoes with zombies in them, which you will lead to the spores in the backyards and kill them there in order to unlock the relic protection part. Apart from that, everything else is the same. Shoot zombies, throw your Monkey Bombs, open up the heart, and finish it.

That's how you finish the Paradox Junction Main Quest Easter Egg. Congratulations! As a reward, you get a fancy animated calling card.
