Best Black Ops 7 Ranked Loadouts

CDL has released a new ruleset, according to which 99.99% of guns in BO7 are banned from Ranked Play. That leaves us with 3 weapons, which can be used in Ranked. The best Black Ops 7 Ranked loadouts are going to be a rotation of 3 guns available. These guns are:
- M15 Mod 0: Great AR with low recoil and decent stats.
- Dravec 45: One of the best SMGs in the game.
- VS Recon: The only sniper rifle available for Ranked and only in S&D.
While this is pretty disappointing, maybe more guns will be added in the future, according to balancing changes and a deeper understanding of the pro scene. So far, this is everything we have.
Top Loadouts Black Ops 7 Ranked Play
I’ll cover the complete loadout later in the article, as it barely changes. The only thing you’ll be changing in your Ranked loadout is the weapon of choice. The rest of it is basically set in stone. I’ll start with M15, then move on to Dravec, and, well, VS Recon. Let’s take a look at the top loadouts for Black Ops 7 Ranked Play.
M15 Mod 0 - AR Setup
The M15 Mod 0 is a good pick for ranked if you like to control the field. This gun is built for clean fights. It does best when you hold angles, watch lanes, and play positions. In mid-range fights, the M15 Mod 0 feels reliable. Recoil is non-existent on this gun. Shots go where you expect, and you can stay on target without fighting the gun. That makes it strong on maps with long sightlines or power positions that teams fight over every round. In close situations, it can struggle if you're rushed. You need good awareness and positioning to make it work. If you play slow, communicate, and lock down space for your team, this weapon fits that role well. Check out the best loadout in Black Ops 7 ranked multiplayer:
- Optic: Lethal Tools ELO
- Barrel: 16.5" Fusion Barrel
- Rear Grip: Peregrine Grip
- Stock: Wander-3V Stock
- Fire Mods: Buffer Spring
Now let’s go over each of the attachments. ELO is the cleanest optic in the game. As an AR player, you want to have as clear a sight as possible. The barrel increases Damage Range and Bullet Velocity. Due to M15 being an AR, you really need that Bullet Velocity. Your strongest fit is taking out opponents from long range. As for the rear grip, I decided to go with the most pros’ choice and select Peregrine Grip. It gives a significant increase in the ADS speed and a decent increase in jumping ADS speed. For stock, I wanted something that gives you a nice strafe boost. You want to strafe as fast as possible to break the line of sight with SMG players. Finally, we have Buffer Springs. This gun is pretty accurate as is, but this attachment allows for even more precision, completely removing the recoil. This is the best BO7 Ranked loadout right now.
Dravec 45 - SMG Setup
The Dravec 45 is all about speed and pressure. The gun is for players who move fast and force fights on their terms. In ranked, it shines when you know routes. Up close, the Dravec 45 hits hard and feels quick in the hands. It lets you slide into rooms, clear corners, and even challenge M15 players at range. But don’t do that. It’s perfect for clearing the zones in Hardpoint. It’s also good in cornering the courier in Overload. At longer ranges, things get messy. Recoil and damage drop make gunfights harder to win unless your aim is sharp. You need confidence and good movement to make this weapon work consistently. Here’s the best SMG loadout for BO7 ranked play:
- Muzzle: Hawker Hybrid .45
- Barrel: 19" EAM Horizon Barrel
- Rear Grip: QuikArm Grip
- Stock: Serval Q-Step Stock
- Fire Mods: .45 Cal Overpressured
Once again, let’s take a glance at the attachments. This is a current Black Ops 7 ranked meta loadout. First, muzzle. Dravec 45 doesn't really have much recoil, so there's no use in muzzles that reduce it. Hawker .45 fits this role the best. The obvious downside of any SMGs, and Dravec isn’t an exclusion, is their range. Specifically, the bullet damage falloff. You want to have the Damage Range attachment to at least have a chance to fight with ARs at a distance. EAM Barrel gives us the range to take on these fights. QuikArm Grip makes this gun ultra snappy and quick, playing into its strengths. The stock is basically the same thing as on M15, but with a different name. It’s a strafe boost attachment. You're gonna wanna move fast to get out of harm's way or peek around a corner quickly. Finally, we have .45 Overpressured bullets. Once again, Bullet Velocity and Damage Range are a must-have on Dravec. This mod helps us push Dravec further into an SMG/AR hybrid territory. BLOG20
VS Recon - Sniper Setup
I bet you wanted to see the best Black Ops 7 Ranked loadout for sniper rifles, but you won’t. The funniest thing about VS Recon is that you can’t have any attachments on it in Ranked. You have a gun in its pristine glory. I’ll give you a brief overview of the gun, but that’s about everything I can give you. The VS Recon sits in a flexible spot and works well for players who want options. It handles decently at most ranges and doesn’t lock you into one style. In ranked, that flexibility matters when it hits the fan. This gun feels comfortable in mid-range fights and can still hold its own up close if you play it right. It’s not the fastest or the hardest-hitting, but it’s the only sniper rifle, so you don’t have a choice. VS Recon is great for its consistency. It’s kind of a jack-of-all-trades in sniper rifles. You can anchor a lane, help on objectives, or rotate without feeling underpowered. It’s a good choice if you like reading the match and adjusting instead of forcing plays.
Best BO7 Ranked Play Loadout
You’ve probably noticed by now that I didn’t give any perk or nade setups for each of these weapons. This is intentional, as according to CDL restrictions, which you can read about in the Ranked guide, barely any attachments or guns are available in the Ranked mode. I hope it changes over time and CDL regulators will allow other guns, but so far, this is the most stripped-down version of the game we’ve seen yet. For this reason, I’ll provide one general loadout that fits all guns. Check out the best BO7 Ranked play loadout:

Slot |
Selection |
Explanation |
|
Sidearm |
Jager 45 |
I’m sorry I don’t have an umlaut on my keyboard. Jager is the best cause it’s the only one available. |
|
Melee |
Knife |
It’s the only melee available for Ranked. |
|
Field Upgrade |
Trophy System/Mute Field |
Mute Field helps you to silence the steps even further if Ninja isn't enough for you. Trophy System is the best overall choice for any situation. |
|
Tactical |
Stun/Flash/Smoke |
Any of the three, depending on the situation. Stun and Flash are your all-rounders. |
|
Lethal |
Frag/Semtex |
I’ve never had much success with Semtex nades, but that’s me. Both grenades are good, but Frag requires a bit more dedication to use. |
|
Wildcard |
Perk Greed |
The only Wildcard available. |
|
Perk 1 |
Ninja |
You're in a 4v4, so the chances people will hear you stomping are higher than usual. |
|
Perk 2 |
Fast Hands |
It's either this or anti-nade perks. Which aren’t bad, but the 4th perk slot is for tactical perks anyway. |
|
Perk 3 |
Dexterity |
It’s the only third slot perk. |
|
Perk 4 |
Lightweight/Flak Jacket |
Having a Trophy System generally solves the issue with grenades, so focus less on Tech Mask or Flak Jacket and favor the Lightweight more. If you feel like Trophy System doesn't do its job well enough, then settle for Flak. |
The options are severely limited here, which takes away the build-making and focuses more on you making decisions during the game. Whether it’s something that you like or not is for you to decide, but I think it’s a nice change of pace. It reminds me of OG Promod for COD4. But yeah, that’s it for our Black Ops 7 Ranked play loadouts article. Hope you liked it and it was useful.
