Frostcursed Armor Set

A very badass-looking, dark-knight themed armor set with very high stats, especially Defense and Attack values. The Ice Resistance is a thematic bonus stat, and the extra effects include things like Daze immunity, XP gain bonus, and even climb speed increase.

Before we begin, just know that unlike most RPGs, Crimson Desert armor sets do not provide additional set bonuses when all pieces are equipped.

How to Get Frostcursed Armor Set

The full set is scattered throughout northern Demeniss. Most of the pieces are found in hidden chests, and several of them require going behind waterfalls or through concealed cave entrances.

Blackwing is the most specialized armor set in this list, but that does not make it weak. It stands out as a fast, aggressive option that works best in crit-focused or unarmed builds.

Compared to Frostcursed, Blackwing gives up some raw durability and general-purpose utility. In return, it offers better mobility and critical bonuses. That makes it a much stronger fit for players who want speed and constant pressure instead of a slower defensive setup.

Several of the set pieces come from defeating the boss, so you can’t really get it at any point in the game - you have to advance the story a little bit.

How to Get Blackwing Armor Set

Blackwing is split between a boss reward and hidden exploration loot. The mask and armor come from the Crowcaller, while the remaining pieces are found in specific locations. Crowcaller is encountered during the 65th story mission in Chapter 5, sub-chapter “Black and White”. The encounter happens in the Hernand region.

Fallen Kingdom set is another boss-inspired set that can actually be collected pretty early in the game. It has some pretty insane stats that you definitely want to equip as soon as you can. The set’s standout visual feature is its elk helmet with horns, and it's basically the same set worn by Saigord the Staglord, a side-boss encountered in central Hernand during the quest King of the Fallen Kingdom.

How to Get Fallen Kingdom Armor Set

The full set is spread throughout central and western Hernand. It is mostly collected through exploration, with several pieces hidden near waterfalls and ruins.

If an entrance is located behind a waterfall, look for stacked stones that will always mark the right spot. To get through any waterfall’s hidden entrance, you need to hold the shield and use “Y” or triangle on the gamepad to do the piercing attack. This works on all waterfall entrances.

 

 

Of the Shadows Armor Set

Besides otherworldly looks of this armor set and its incredible stats, the Of the Shadows armor lets you actually walk on water, if only for a few seconds. This comes from the Plate Helm of the Shadows, which allows you to breathe “Glacial Domain,” spraying an ice cloud in front of you that deals continuous damage and also freezes water.

How to Get “Of the Shadows” Armor Set

The pieces are found in roughly the same area in western Hernand, but you will need to defeat Beloth the Darksworn in Hoenmark Ruins to complete the set. This encounter takes place during chapters 6 - 7. After defeating the boss, you’ll be taken on a quest to collect his armor set by only picking up his helmet.

However, the other set pieces can be found around the world, without needing to fight the boss.

Scorchflame Armor Set

This dragon-looking armor set comes with some powerful Abyss abilities. The good news is that most of the pieces from this set can be found by exploring the world, with most of the pieces found in the same area. None of the armor pieces require boss fights, so you can pick up the pieces early on if you know where they are.

But if you want to add the weapons to this armor set, you do need some story progression.

How to Get Scorchflame Armor Set

You might want to start by locating the gloves first, because this is the piece of the set that gives you the Volcanic Eruption ability. To get them, go to the Twilight Grotto
