Crimson Desert Gold Farming Guide Quick Summary:

  • The only way to make a huge profit is to invest Gold Bars in banks. To start investing, you need to buy a Personal Strongbox Permit for 100 silver.
  • Steal your first Gold Bar in Lioncrest Manor in Hernand. It’s hidden inside the chimney on the ground floor.
  • Here’s how to manipulate your investment. Choose High Risk in your Investment Plan. Wait for 9,5 hours and go to the bank. Save when you have 10 minutes left until you find out the investment profit or loss. If unhappy with the results, reload the save and go to the bank again.
  • You won’t be able to access your invested funds until three game days later.
  • Other good farming methods include stealing Gold Bars from nobles in Demeniss Wildlife Park, farming pouches in Spire of Insight, robbing banks, farming Diamonds in the cave near Graymane Camp’s player house, and gambling in late-game areas.

How to Invest in Crimson Desert

Silver is very important in this game. You can buy food for healing, items for crafting, and, most importantly, upgrading research trees in Research Institutes across various factions. Initially, they don’t require you to go broke to buy one upgrade, but in later stages, you’ll have to spend around 500 silver to conduct research.

The only way you’ll be able to make a ton of silver in this game is if you invest. Kinda like in real life, but in Crimson Desert, it’s never been easier. The game has a banking system, which is there to increase your profit. Well, that, or lose all money because you’re not investing, but gambling. Unless you do it the pro way, i.e., savescam. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves. Here’s how to invest in Crimson Desert.

To start making money in Crimson Desert, you need to acquire a Personal Strongbox Permit. This can be done for 100 silver, which can be quite a hefty sum of money, especially early on. After you do that, you can select your Investment Strategy. Be careful, as after you select it, you won’t be able to change it for the next 10 in-game hours. There are three types of Investment Strategy:

  • Low Risk: 0-2% profit per 10 hours.
  • Medium Risk: -15 to +20% profit per 10 hours.
  • High Risk: -50 to +55% profit per 10 hours.

With my method, you’ll be doing it the High Risk route in the beginning, but then switching to something less risky and involved. Here’s how to make money in Crimson Desert:

  1. Change your Investment Strategy to High Risk.
  2. Wait for 9,5 hours.
  3. Create a save file when you have 10 minutes left until the investment results.
  4. Go to the accountant and check how much money you’ve made or lost.
  5. If you’re unhappy with the result, reload the save file and run to the bank again to check the balance.
  6. Once you’re satisfied with the results, change your investment strategy to Medium or Low Risk and start making passive income.

One downside is that you can only access your funds after 3 in-game days have passed, so bear this in mind. Now all you want to do is bring all the Gold Bars you find here and store them in. You can exchange your Gold Bars for silver or turn your silver into Gold Bars, as can be seen in the screenshot above. You can’t directly store money in the bank, and all your money is stored in gold. One Gold Bar can be bought for 500 silver and can be sold for the same price, so if you don’t really care about investing, I strongly recommend selling gold here, as its price anywhere else is just 190 silver.

So, now you have an investment account open, but you lack the money to start your lucrative journey. How do you get Gold Bars? Let me explain.

How to Farm Gold Bars in Crimson Desert

Getting Gold Bars is the way to becoming rich, but it can be hard. They’re quite few and far between, but that’s the case if you don’t know how to farm Gold Bars in Crimson Desert. There are multiple places where you can get gold bars or money to exchange for them reliably. Let’s go over a couple of them.

Lioncrest Manor

A place where everyone and their mother gets their first Gold Bar. Northwest of Hernand, there’s a Manor. You can’t go in there directly, but you can climb into the window on the second floor, then get down to the ground floor and look for the hearthfire. Shine your lantern at it, and you’ll be able to find a hidden Gold Bar there. This is the fastest way to get rich in Crimson Desert. You can actually get a Gold Bar there every 7 days, the same way.

Demeniss Wildlife Park

East of Hernand, north of Mistveil Forest. Enemies on your way there will be dangerous, so do your best to avoid them. There’s an Abyss Nexus nearby, so you want to activate that. Now, what you’re gonna do is take out your lantern and walk around, checking the park visitors dressed as bunnies. You’ll see that most of them have pouches or keys, but some of them will have Gold Bars. It’s relatively easy to find them here. I get 2 in like 3 respawns. Simply pickpocket a bunny with Gold Bars, and if you didn’t get it on the first try, try it multiple times and just run away from the crime scene.

Spire of Insight

This place is as famous as Lioncrest Manor for making money. The place gives a lot of Bulging Copper Pouches, and I think they’re bugged cause there’s always too many of them. It’s basically the Crimson Desert infinite money glitch. You have to solve a lil’ puzzle here first.

  1. Use fire arrows or a Blinding Flash to burn down the roots surrounding the tower. Next, find a stone pebble and put it into a half-chalice on the door.
  2. Inside a tower, look around and look for the Gravestone. It’s on the right of the golden chalice inside the building. Pick it up and put it into this chalice. This’ll get you to the second floor.
  3. On the second floor, on both sides of the elevator, you’ll find bookshelves with drawers that you need to open. Inside, you’ll find the aforementioned Pouches. Open each drawer and start picking them up.

They respawn very fast, and in like a minute of picking them up and then opening, you get from 15-25 silver, depending on your luck. However, I don’t recommend opening them. Instead, go to any vendor on the map and give them the pouches. This raises their trust, and after you raise their trust to 100, you’ll be able to buy a contract from them, which you can give to the vendor back in Greymane Camp to then let it trade whatever that other vendor had in store.

But this is not all of the Spire’s secrets. If you find a way to get to the third floor of the Spire, you’ll find a recipe for crafting Gold Bars! They’re hard to craft, but the possibility of doing that can easily turn into another lucrative way of making a profit.

Diamond Farming

This is the most reliable way of farming silver in Crimson Desert. After unlocking Greymane Camp in chapter 4, you’ll unlock Serkis Estate, which is basically your home. South of this estate, you’ll find a hole in the ground. Jump down and look around. You’ll find a small cave filled with diamond veins. Mine them with your pickaxe and then sell. They respawn every couple of days, and each diamond costs 2.28 silver.

Robbing the Bank

The first bank in Hernand is a great target for making your pockets fatter. The very same bank you use for investment in the beginning. If you have a key, you can get into the bank’s storage room, containing lots of various treasures, selling which will bring you around 100 silver. If you come to the bank at night, you can pilfer the second floor as well, cause for some reason the bank is not guarded at night. Sometimes, the banks just want to be robbed, and it’s on us to help them with that. Don’t forget to take the mask with you. You can buy it in Hernand in the southeast corner from the thief vendor.

Gambling

I wish gambling worked as it does in this game. In my experience, this is easily the best way to farm gold in Crimson Desert. Go to Pailune, southeast of the location. You’ll find Jitgo Ttaeng players gathering. The price to join the table is 150 silver. Another place is in Crimson Desert, City of Tommaso. The entry fee here is 300 silver. Before joining a table, save the game. You got it right, we’re savescamming. Just go All In each time, and if you win, stand up and save again. Repeat the process until everyone at the table has been fleeced. Walk out and wait for some time for gamblers to respawn. Repeat ad nauseam. Return to any bank and exchange all the silver you’ve won for the Gold Bars. That’s what we call money laundering.
