Legion Bombardment Leveling Build

This build revolves around the Command Fallen skill that spawns a Fallen Lunatic that charges at a target and explodes. This skill, with the right passives and variation, will help you auto-generate Wrath, which you will then use to spam Bombardment with an increased number of demons through another passive. When combined, you’re basically getting a machine-gun style Bombardment skill that lets you throw demons endlessly. For more information on how that works, check out the list of skills.

Skills

Your chosen rotation skills all come from the Demonology class and Legion Soul Shard. This list includes both the skills and the passives, don’t miss those!

Command Fallen - yeet a demon that explodes

  • Wrath - generate 1 extra Wrath for every Demon or Enemy you have killed in the last 2 seconds, up to 5 Wrath.
  • Dominance - get 1 Dominance (up to 30) every 15 times you hit enemies with Command Fallen
  • Meat Shields - passively summons Lunatics that follow you around and detonate when enemies get close, up to 5 Lunatics
  • Mega Lunatic (lvls 1-30) - summons Mega Lunatic that explodes, dealing more damage and spawns 3 Mini Lunatics

Bombardment (main skill) - smash down 4 demons into the ground, each dealing 40% damage

  • Additional Demon - get 1 additional demon for extra damage
  • Focused Target - Bombardment’s chaotic spread is reduced by 300%, and it deals 30% increased damage when only hitting a single enemy.
  • Brutality - increases the number of demons thrown up to 3 additional ones each time you cast Bombardment within 3 seconds.

Tortured Wretch - Summon a tortured demon on your enemies, dealing 60^ damage and taunting them to attack it for 5 seconds.

  • Unstoppable - Casting Tortured Wretch makes you Unstoppable for 3 seconds.
  • Duration - Enemies and Demons killed close to the Tortured Wretch extends its duration by .5 seconds up to 5 seconds.
  • Death Saws - Saws grind up enemies around the Tortured Wretch, periodically dealing 20% dmaage with a 5% chance to Eviscerate enemies for 600% damage.

Rampage - Summon a rampaging brute for 10 seconds that smashes wildly, dealing 128% damage with 5% chance to Eviscerate enemies for 1280% damage.

  • Lesser Demon Wrath - Casting Rampage compels your Lesser Demon Skills to generate 1 Wrath per hit for 5 seconds.
  • Elite Hit Chance - Rampage has a 100% chance to trigger its Eviscerate, Volatility, or Knockdown hit effect when striking unaffected Elite enemies.
  • Demonic Smash - Rampage becomes a Hellfire Mobility leap attack that transforms you into Demonform, dealing 290% damage with a 5% chance per hit to grant you Vulatility for 10% seconds.

Fiend of Abaddon - Summon a massive fiend for 15 seconds that attacks enemies, dealing 250% damage per swipe.

  • Lesser Demon Bonus - casting Fiend of Abaddon increases the damage of your Lesser Demon Skills by x20% for 15 seconds
  • Dominance Fiend of Abaddon - Fiend of Abaddon now costs 30 Dominance and has no Cooldown.
  • Spiteful Enrage - if an enemy survives more than 5 hits from Fiend of Abaddon, then each subsequent hit increases its damage versus that target by x2% and extends its lifetime by 2 seconds up to 60 seconds.

Sigil of Summons (replaces Command Fallen at lvl 70+) - Create a binding ritual for 10 seconds that extends the duration of your Summon. Killing 8 enemies or Demons within fuels the ritual to summon a demon for 20 seconds, which attacks nearby enemies, dealing 60% damage per hit. You can have up to 3 demons active at once.

  • Damage Sigil - Enemies within Sigil of Summons take x25% increased damage from your Lesser Demon skills.
  • Cooldown Sigil - Sigil of Summons’ active Cooldown is reduced by 3 seconds when your Greater Demons die.
  • Summon Hellwyrm - Sigil now requires 16 kills to summon a Hellwyrm that mimics your attacks by regurgitating related Demons as you cast Lesser Demon Skills.

The main idea for these skills is generating Wrath almost passively by getting an increased number of demons launched with Bombardment. Additional skills like Tortured Wretch and Rampage make it even better, giving you mobility and something to avoid damage. If you read carefully, you’ll learn that killing your own demons gives you various bonuses, such as stacked damage increase from multiple passives across all skills, and since you’ll be killing them in heaps, that’s where the power of this build comes from.

Soul Shards

You’re going to want to grab a Legion Shard for this build.

  • Legion Shard - casting a Greater Demon Skill increases Lesser Demon Skill Cast Speed by 25% and Cooldown Rate by 20% for 10 seconds. When 50 of your Lesser Demons die, your next Greater Demon Skill Cast has no Resource Cost.
  • Evisceration Fragment - While an Enemy is Eviscerated, your Summoned Demons prioritize them and gain 50% increased movement speed. Demonology Skills gain a 2% chance to Eviscerate enemies that are already Eviscerated.

This works wonders, you’re yeeting in demons with bombardment, and it's nine hits per cast. And those nine hits per cast are being fueled by the sigil of summons on top, while your wretch is grinding him too with his saw blades.

This should lead to the evisceration fragment triggering over and over and over again. At the bottom, the Fiend of Abaddon gets 25% increased damage.

Equipment

While this is not a complete theorycrafted build, not all of the gear slots will be named in this section. For this build to work as intended, you only need a handful of items:

Item

Slot

Effect

Seed of Horazon

Amulet

Your Demonology Skills deal 0.69% [x] [0.60 - 0.75]% increased damage per Wrath you have, and you take 0.23% [+] [0.20 - 0.25]% reduced damage per Dominance you have.

Eye of Baal

Off-Hand

Soul Shard Skills and their demons deal x [60 - 80%] damage. Casting a Soul Shard Skill increases all your damage by x10% for 15 seconds, up to x50%.

Ae’grom’s Schism

Chest

Ae’grom and its summons deal x [30 - 50%] increased damage. You additionally summon Ae’grom’s other half and gain a second Charge of Command Ae’grom.

Aspect of Fiendish Oppression

Helm

Summoning a Greater Demon knocks down enemies around it for 5 seconds. Your lesser demon skills deal increased damage to crowd-controlled enemies.

Tibault’s Will

Pants

You deal [10-20%] increased damage while Unstoppable and for 5 seconds after. When you become Unstoppable, gain 100 of your Primary Resource.

The Fecund Seal

Ring

Sigil of Summons deals x [80-100%] increased damage, and you can summon up to 3 additional demon swarmers with kills outside the ritual.

These items are perfect because you only have Demonology skills in your rotation, the Eye of Baal is perfect for stacking damage bonus when playing The Pit, and the helmet gives you a little CC that’s always handy.

Dread Claws Leveling Build

This is another leveling build that, unlike the previous one, has a more hands-on kind of playstyle. This build increases movement speed, allowing you to sprint through areas, clearing them on the go. Your main skill is Dread Claws, and its damage is scaled with Terror Demon Metamorphosis, which gives you additional ranks for all Abyss skills. High-mobility comes from the Nether Step and Mastermind Shard, but more on all of that later. Let’s go over the skills and their passives first.

Skills

Doom — Burst a sigil on your enemies, hexing them and dealing 50% damage.

  • Assimilation Doom — Casting Doom against a Vulnerable, Weakened, or Slowed enemy assimilates the effects, causing Doom to also apply those effects for 3 seconds.
  • Contagion Doom — Whenever you kill a Hexed enemy, Doom spreads the Hex to another enemy and deals 50% damage to them.
  • Wrath Doom — Doom generates 1 Wrath every 2 seconds for each Hexed enemy.

Dread Claws — Burst forth 4 shadowy claws, each dealing 65% damage.

  • Ambush Dread Claws — Dread Claws deals x50% increased damage with its first claw strike against each enemy. When attacking from Stealth, all claws gain this bonus.
  • Damage Dread Claws — Every second, gain x20% increased damage for your next Dread Claws, up to x100%.
  • Cascading Dread Claws — Dread Claws sends out 4 additional claws, and each set deals x30% increased damage than the last.

Nether Step — Step through the shadows of Hell to emerge at the target location, gaining 4 stacks of Shadowform as well as 100% increased Movement Speed which decays over 2 seconds.

  • Extra Charge Nether Step — Nether Step gains an additional Charge.
  • Movement Speed Nether Step — Nether Step’s Movement Speed Bonus lasts 50% longer.
  • Gloomwalker Nether Step — Nether Step now lets you run through the abyss while Immune for up to 3 seconds. Cast again to exit early.

Profane Sentinel — Summon a demonic eye for 15 seconds that focuses upon enemies with a beam that makes them Vulnerable and periodically blasts them, dealing 300% damage. Recast to direct the eye’s targeting.

  • Single Target Damage — Profane Sentinel deals x30% damage when it only hits a single target.
  • Narrow Blast — Profane Sentinel deals x25% increased damage, but its blast area is reduced by 50%.
  • Focused Glare — The longer Profane Sentinel is locked onto the same enemy, the stronger it becomes, dealing 25% more damage every second.

Sigil of Subversion — Create a subversive ritual for 10 seconds that Hexes enemies. Killing 8 enemies or Demons within fuels the ritual to send forth shadow trails for 8 seconds that grant you 1 stack of Shadowform every second while in them. You can have up to 3 trails active at once.

  • Movement Speed — Sigil of Subversion trails grant you +50% increased Movement Speed while on them.
  • Cast Range — Sigil of Subversion can now be placed at long range.
  • Infiltration Trails — Sigil of Subversion trails now last 50% longer and extend away when you near their ends. While within a trail, your Shadowform loses no stacks while moving.

Metamorphosis — Transform into a demon and gain Demonform, all Archfiend Demonform Skill variants, and a special melee Basic attack that deals 137% damage. All overridden Skills will be at least the same Rank as Metamorphosis. Cast again while active to cancel.

  • Damage Scaling — Metamorphosis grants x2% increased damage for each X bonus Maximum Life you have.
  • Phase 2 Enrage — Metamorphosis grants x40% increased damage when you are reduced below half of your Maximum Life, but you also cannot Heal above this threshold.
  • Terror Demon — Metamorphosis adds its Ranks to Abyss Skills for 15 seconds and does not replace any Skills. Metamorphosis grants 4 Shadowform stacks every second, and Abyss Skills do not break its Stealth. Metamorphosis is now an Abyss Skill and has a 30-second cooldown.

You start by unlocking Doom, because it will generate Wrath that you will spend on Nether Step. Your main skill is Cascading Dread Claws, which shoots out 8 shadowy claws, each dealing 65% damage. As I said before, the Terror Demon Metamorphosis gives you +15 to all Abyss skills, which, when coupled with Enrage Phase 2 gives you an additional 40% when your health is below 40%. The Shadowform stacks are used to trigger another damage increase from one of the gear pieces as well.

Soul Shards

For the Soul shard, you should pick the Mastermind Shard that gives you another 30% to damage from Abyss skills when you have stacks of Shadowform. Don’t forget that Terror Demon Metamorphosis gives you 4 stacks of Shadowform every second!

Then, you also grab Blashphemous Fragment, which gives you +20% damage against enemies hit by Profane Sentinel, which is the only summon in your rotation.

Gear Aspects

Instead of hunting down specific gear pieces, to make this build work, you need to get hold of some particular aspects and then just use them on the best piece of gear you have in the slot. Here’s the full list of required aspects for the Dread Claws build and where to get them.

Complete Oldstones in Scosglen.

Insidious Aspect is the most interesting Warlock-specific option here because it scales Abyss Skill damage with Shadowform stacks. That works especially well with Terror Demon Metamorphosis, since it gives 4 Shadowform stacks every second and lets the build quickly reach strong damage bonuses.

For faster leveling, the build relies on classic dungeon Aspects. Edgemaster’s Aspect gives a simple damage boost, while Aspect of Might and Aspect of Disobedience add reliable defense. Aspects of the Umbral and Aspect of Voracious Rage help smooth out resource problems, which matters a lot when using Core Skills often.

Anathema of the Primes Endgame Build

This endgame build revolves around Anathema of the Primes, which turns your Demonform Archfiend skills into Core skills. That interaction is what makes the whole setup work, because it lets you spam Demonic Smash Rampage and Demonic Glare Profane Sentinel much more freely than usual. Because of that, this is not a leveling build, and you should only plan around it once you have the required unique.

The playstyle is fast, simple, and built around constant Hellfire damage. You use Metamorphosis to keep your Demonform bonuses active, maintain Sigil of Chaos for Volatility, then leap through enemies with Demonic Smash Rampage. Profane Sentinel gives the build its laser damage, while Blazing Scream adds extra fire damage around you as you move. In easier content, this should make the build feel especially strong for speed farming.

Skills

This build uses a mix of Hellfire, Archfiend, Demonology, and Core skills. The main point is to maintain your buffs, leap through enemies with Rampage, and spam Profane Sentinel once Anathema of the Primes turns your Demonform Archfiend skills into Core skills.

Command Fallen - Summon a Fallen Lunatic that charges your target and explodes, dealing 80% damage.

  • Wrath - Command Fallen generates 1 additional Wrath for every Demon or Enemy you have killed in the last 2 seconds, up to 5 additional Wrath.
  • Dominance - Every 15 times you hit enemies with Command Fallen, you gain 1 Dominance.
  • Meat Shields - Command Fallen becomes a Hellfire Skill and passively summons a Lunatic every X seconds that follows you around and detonates when enemies get close, up to 5 Lunatics. Summon rate is based on your Attack Speed.

Blazing Scream - Send forth a Demon Skull, dealing 135% damage as it travels.

  • Damage - Blazing Scream deals x3% increased damage based on how many different enemies it has hit, up to x30%.
  • Impact Velocity - Blazing Scream gains up to x30% increased damage and speed based on your Movement Speed Bonus.
  • Orbital - Blazing Scream now orbits you for 10 seconds. The skull deals 805% damage and extends Demonform when it hits enemies. Channeling increases the orbit speed by 150% and refreshes the duration.

Rampage - Summon a rampaging brute for 10 seconds that smashes wildly, dealing 128% damage with a 5% chance to Eviscerate enemies for 1280% damage.

  • Demon Masher - Rampage now smashes your Lesser Demons to Fortify you for 2% Maximum Life.
  • Demonic Smash - Rampage becomes a Hellfire Mobility leap attack that transforms you into Demonform, dealing 290% damage with a 5% chance per hit to grant you Volatility for 10 seconds.

Profane Sentinel - Summon a demonic eye for 15 seconds that focuses upon enemies with a beam that makes them Vulnerable and periodically blasts them, dealing 300% damage. Recast to direct the eye’s targeting.

  • Wide Beam - Profane Sentinel’s beam area is 125% larger.
  • Single Target Damage - Profane Sentinel deals x30% damage when it only hits a single target.
  • Demonic Glare - Profane Sentinel is now a direct eye blast attack that deals 261% damage and transforms you into Demonform for up to 5 seconds. Profane Sentinel is now a Hellfire Skill.

Sigil of Chaos - Create a destructive ritual for 10 seconds that grants you Volatility while within. Killing enemies or Demons within fuels the ritual’s chaotic hellfire, increasing the chance for each enemy to explode for 30% damage on death.

  • Volatility Casts - Volatility empowered casts within Sigil of Chaos count as triggering 3 kills.
  • Blood Ritual - Sacrifice 4% of your Maximum Life to instantly trigger each of Sigil of Chaos’ kill costs, up to 48% total.
  • Hellfire Aura - Sigil of Chaos is now cast around yourself for 15 seconds and instantly explodes your Lesser Demons within for 20% damage.

Metamorphosis - Transform into a demon and gain Demonform, all Archfiend Demonform Skill variants, and a special melee Basic attack that deals 137% damage. All overridden Skills will be at least the same Rank as Metamorphosis. Cast again while active to cancel.

  • Damage Scaling - Metamorphosis grants x2% increased damage for each X bonus Maximum Life you have.

The main idea here is to keep Hellfire damage active while constantly moving through enemies. Command Fallen helps generate Wrath and Dominance while adding passive Lunatic explosions. Blazing Scream adds orbiting fire damage, Rampage becomes your main leap tool, and Profane Sentinel turns into a repeatable Hellfire blast. Sigil of Chaos keeps Volatility rolling, while Metamorphosis keeps your Demonform bonuses active. Anathema of the Primes is what makes the repeated Archfiend skill spam possible.

Soul Shards

You’re going to want the Vanguard Shard for this build. It fits the setup because it naturally summons demons while you use your abilities, adding more passive damage while you focus on leaping around and casting your main Archfiend skills.

Vanguard Shard - this shard helps the build summon extra demons as you use your abilities, giving you more background damage and making the whole setup feel more active.

For the Fragment slot, Inferno Fragment may be used instead of Warden Fragment, depending on testing. Inferno Fragment is especially interesting because it creates a fire aura around you based on your Hellfire damage. Since this build already deals plenty of Hellfire damage, that aura could help clear weaker enemies while you move between packs.

Warden Fragment is likely the safer option if you need more consistency or defense. Inferno Fragment looks better for speed farming if the damage feels strong enough once the build is tested properly.

Equipment

This build depends on Anathema of the Primes, so it is not something you should expect to play from level one. The unique is what makes the Archfiend skill spam possible, and without it, the build loses its main identity.

Item / Aspect

Slot

Effect

Notes

Anathema of the Primes

-

Hitting enemies with a Core Skill increases the damage they take from you per Skill, up to a maximum. Archfiend Demonform Skill Variants are Core Skills and cost Wrath.

Required unique for the build. This is what makes the Archfiend skill spam possible.

Aspect of Slaughter

Boots

You gain 20%, Movement Speed. Lose this bonus for [5-2] seconds after taking damage from a Close Enemy.

Strong mobility Aspect for speed farming and keeping the build moving between packs.

Anathema of the Primes is the key piece here because it changes how the build plays. Demonic Smash Rampage becomes your main mobility tool, letting you leap through enemies and move quickly through content. Demonic Glare Profane Sentinel then gives you strong repeatable laser damage, which fits the Superman-style fantasy of the build.

Punching Bag Tortured Wretch can also be used if you need more survivability. It is not the main focus of the setup, but it gives the build a safer option when enemies start hitting too hard. Overall, this build should shine most in fast farming content, where its mobility, Hellfire damage, and Archfiend skill spam can clear packs quickly.
