Fortnite Top Landing Spots 2026

What defines a great landing spot in Fortnite? Many factors influence that. Some people may say it’s about safety; others may say it’s about loot. The truth, as always, is somewhere in the middle. Here’s what we think makes a good landing spot in Fortnite:

  1. Loot Persistence: The more reliably chests spawn in the POI, the better.
  2. Controlled Fights: Dropping into hot zones is fun, but it’s very risky and oftentimes not worth it. You want a more tactical approach to the fights, rather than them being a coin flip.
  3. Good Mats: Unless you’re playing Zero Build, the location should have easy access to materials.
  4. Rotation Options: Dropping on the edge of the map is often safe, but it limits your options. You want to have some other locations nearby, in case you need to retreat.

These points make up the best landing spots in the game. There aren’t many that fit them, though. Below, we provide the Fortnite top landing spots 2026.

Ripped Tides

A pretty popular spot on the southwest corner of the map. It's modeled after Muscle Beach, located next to the Santa Monica Pier. It's one of the more iconic locations in LA, so it's obvious why Fortnite added it in this chapter. The way you get the loot is a reference to this iconic location. Drop somewhere around the northern side of the location, and you'll find a barbell next to the tribunes. Approach it, and you'll see a prompt telling you to "attempt lift", but don't do it yet! Lifting it unprepared will take about 180 seconds. Here’s what you have to do:

  • Tentacle Building: Find a building in the southern part of the town. You'll see a building with octopus tentacles drawn on it. Head to the second floor and you'll find a steak on a stove.
  • Ice Cream Cafe: Head north from this house. You'll find a Snow Cones place, where you need to eat the second steak.
  • Uncle Pete’s Pizza Pit: Opposite to it is a pizza restaurant. Go there and eat the third steak.
  • Open-Air Gym: Return to the barbell area. Right before it is an open-air gym, and one of the benches has a steak on it. Eat this final steak and return to the barbell.

Now, when you interact with the barbell, you'll lift it instantly. It has a 33% chance of dropping a mythic shotgun, but even without that, you can get amazing loot.

Clawsy Lodge

An unassuming house, south of Clawsy Lodge. Players rarely come here because it isn't marked on the map. It has numerous chests and a fishing spot, but it's not the best thing about this place. You should come here because this location has a rare chest disguised as a drawer. Get inside the house, climb to the second floor, and you'll hear the rare chest's sound cue. Interact with the drawers, and it'll give you some great loot. It commonly drops Chug Jugs, weapons, gold, and grenades. This place is absolutely stacked, so be sure to check it.

Classified Canyon

An Area 51 inspired location. It contains a lot of loot and is a very popular location to drop onto. Get inside, rappel down, and you'll find a large metallic door with a sign next to it reading "Authorised Personnel and Cats only". Press the button and wait for it to open. Once it opens, get inside. There are two rare chests, aside from the normal ones. Pro Tip! Instead of getting out the way you got in, get to one of the consoles close to the center of the location and interact with the one that says "Activate Escape Vortex”. Once you do that, a hatch that looks like a rocket silo will open, and you can safely fly out. BLOG20

The Classified Canyon is one of the best squad landing spots in Fortnite Ch7, as many fights are happening around. While you're around, look for a big ramp. If you’re lucky enough, a car will spawn somewhere close to the ramp. If you find the car, get on top of the ramp and drive down. You need to jump across the gap while inside it. Doing this will reward you with some nice loot. There's also a chance for a mythic AR to spawn.

Mezzo Piano Tunnel

This is by far the best solo Fortnite landing spot, as it's not a major named location, so most players will ignore it. This room is in the dead center of the map. If you look at it, you'll see a tunnel to the east of Innoloop Labs. You can access the required room from above or through the tunnel; it doesn't matter. It's faster to do it from the top, though. If you enter the room from above the tunnel, you'll see a construction site-like area. It has fireworks, a porta-potty, and two ropes going down. Rappel down them, and you'll get into a small room. Now look around. You'll find two goofy creatures sitting on top of the high-tech-looking crates. Behind them is a wall. You need to break the wall and the floor behind it. This will get you into a room filled with pianos. This room has one guaranteed rare chest spawn.

Innoloop Labs

Speaking of the Labs, they also contain nice loot if you're lucky. Reach the underground and make your way to the not-Hadron-Collider. The tunnels here contain some nice loot, but that's not what we're here for. These tunnels have teleports at the end of them, which, when interacted with, will transfer you to another part of the tunnel. The tunnels have a chance to spawn Unstable Element, which is basically a key. If you're lucky to find it, look around the corridor, and you'll find a door with a panel next to it. Interact with it, and it'll say something like "Open Vault", and behind it, you'll find a rare chest.

Wonkeeland

A very vibrant and fun place to drop at. It has many minigames that all reward you with loot. Our favorite loot spot requires you to do one of them. Find a Zip Zonk Bang target range. Start it, shoot the ghosts, and the cannon will shoot out loot for you. We’re not sure if the quality of loot increases the more ghosts you manage to shoot down, but just in case, don’t shoot Wonkees. The best loot drops here during the nighttime, though. Wait until midnight, then head to the stage. There'll be a show after which you'll get a drop. It's not as good as other places we've described, since it doesn’t have rare chests, but it takes the cake with quantity of loot over its quality. Be careful, though, as this place is quite popular among other players. Remember, it’s best to drop here at night, though the daytime also has a lot of decent loot.

Conclusion

With the knowledge of the Fortnite top landing zones in Chapter 7, you have a significant leg up over your opponents. Drop there, before others catch up. And even if they do eventually, you’ll meet them there, armed with purple and golden weapons. Drop by soon, as we are going to discuss the best loadouts in Chapter 7.
