Chapter 7 marks the 7th year of Fortnite. We get a new map, and the iconic Battle Bus is now removed from the game! The new map is inspired by LA and the broader southwestern region. There are also parts that look like a Vegas Strip and Area 51. The Battle Pass also seems inspired by classic Hollywood movies and genres. The skins that come in this pass are really solid. Best Leveling Strategies in Fortnite

In this guide, we’ll cover the best leveling strategies in Fortnite. Just playing the game may not be enough to quickly upgrade your Battle Pass. There are 8 best ways to get XP fast in Fortnite. We’ll list them here and then cover them in detail later in the article:

Method Description
Get the Battle Pass Battle Pass provides extra challenges that reward XP.
Finish Daily and Weekly Tasks The biggest source of experience in the game.
Play on Creative Mode Maps There are many cards specifically designed for leveling your BP.
Do the XP Events They always give extra experience, along with other cosmetic rewards.
Play with Your Friends No direct benefit in experience gain, but you complete the challenges much faster.
Drop in a Hot Zone Defeating other players and looting high-tier items gives you a large amount of XP.
Survive Longer

The longer you stay in battle, the more opportunities to gain XP you get. Not only that, but there’s an XP bonus for surviving longer, too.

Focus on the Objectives If you really want to grind levels faster, this is your best option. Nothing levels you faster than doing the quests.

If you are already familiar with the game, this might be just enough info. Unfortunately, there's no magical way to get tons of levels fast. But you can maximize your experience by following these simple strategies. Now let's cover these strategies in more detail. This will be useful if you are a returning player or a new one.

Get the Battle Pass

You might be an F2P player, but we still recommend getting it. This might seem a strange recommendation, but Battle Pass is one of the fastest ways to level up in Fortnite. It doesn’t give you a 10% XP boost, as some other Battle Passes do. Instead, it contains special seasonal quests, available only to people who purchased it. Doing them boosts you in ranks and gets you all the fancy cosmetics. To add to the appeal, if you purchase the Battle Pass once, you can purchase it next season for free. This is because the Battle Pass contains enough V-Bucks for you to get the next one. Even if you don’t want to donate to the game, this can’t be any better of a deal.

Finish Daily and Weekly Tasks

This is one of the simplest XP farming strategies in Fortnite. It makes grinding less tedious and more engaging. The tasks themselves can range from simple to more difficult ones that require working in a co-op. The tasks are updated every Tuesday. The daily and weekly challenges are the main source of XP. The weekly quests, by far, provide the most XP. Each week, you get 6 quests. Finishing each grants you 12,000 XP. Every time you complete a third quest, you get an extra 25,000 XP. Pro Tip! If you want to maximize your XP gain, you can Supercharge your XP. Supercharging makes you get more XP for skipping a couple of days of gaming. You can almost finish all the quests, and instead of completing them, wait for the supercharge. Then get into the game and complete them to get massive amounts of XP. This is the fastest way to reach level 100 in Fortnite.

Play on Creative Mode Maps

There are many Creative mode maps that provide faster ways to level up. Unfortunately, despite being advertised as the fastest way to level up, it’s often not. Still, it’s a great way to get XP without running Battle Royale only. On your race to level 100, minimizing boredom is a key factor for actually growing fast. Most user-created maps have a daily experience cap. This means your best option is to find several maps you enjoy and play them.

Do the XP Events

Fortnite is not shy about offering interesting seasonal story events. They progress the overarching plot and really make you feel a part of it. This season is no different, as it includes not just one, but a few limited-time events. In one of them, you’ll rebuild a destroyed Battle Bus. In another, you’ll encounter Beatrix Kiddo, aka The Bride. Let’s break down the quests and their rewards.

Rebuild the Battle Bus

The Battle Bus isn’t gone forever. It’s part of Fortnite's DNA. The new quest implies the Battle Bus will be redesigned, though. And we are a part of it, as we help rebuild it. The challenges provide 10,000 XP each. There are 6 quests, rewarding an emote for finishing 3, and vehicle wheels for completing all 6. With such a nice XP reward, you’ll get Battle Pass levels in no time. Let’s look at all the quests to rank up faster in Fortnite:

  • Search Containers for 20 Bus Parts: A container is anything that you can open. Chests, supply drops, and even the ammo boxes.
  • Talk to Dummy about the Battle Bus Destruction: You can find Dummy around Ripped Tides. He’s not far from a destroyed Battle Bus.
  • Collect 4 Battle Bus Wheels at Pump-n-Run Gas Stations: Any gas station will do. You can find one not far from the Dummy in the Ripped Tides.
  • Destroy 35 Objects While in a Vehicle: Pretty simple. Doing it in a bigger car will be much easier.
  • Hit an Opponent While in a Hot Air Balloon: Opponent isn’t necessarily a player. Any hostile NPC counts too.
  • Destroy Dumpsters and Find Battle Bus Pieces: Destroying three dumpsters is usually enough to finish the quest.

These quests are all pretty self-explanatory and easy to finish. They provide really pleasant XP rewards. Remember what we recommended - wait for the supercharge before completing them. Be swift, though, as these quests will be gone forever on December 8.

The Bride Questline

Another event in Fortnite right now is a collaboration with the cult classic “Kill Bill”. In it, you’ll play a key part in the development of The Bride’s story. There are also 6 quests that award you with 10,000 XP. Here are all the quests:

  • Visit 6 Named Locations in a Vehicle: Just drive around. One round is all you need to finish it.
  • Enter a Forsaken Vow Rift Gate and Fight Gogo and Yuki: This quest is broken down into two steps. In the first part, you’ll enter a Rift Gate, reminiscent of the Star Wars portals. Using the Rift grants you a Forsaken Vow Blade. After you do that, Gogo and Yuki will appear, attacking you. Defeating them finishes the quest.
  • Eliminate 10 Opponents with the Forsaken Vow Blade: Pretty simple, as opponents don’t have to be players.
  • Hit 6 Enemies with the Vengeance Dash: Vengeance Dash is a special move that lunges you forward. Dash through 6 opponents to finish the quest.
  • Reach 25 Players Remaining in 4 Matches: The best strategy here is dropping on the outskirts, slowly making progress towards the center.
  • Purchase a Service from The Bride: She’s at the Sandy Strip. Interacting with her grants you a chance to open the Rift Gate. The service costs 600 gold.

And these are all the challenges from the current collaboration event. They’re pretty easy and can be done in an hour or two.

Play With Your Friends

Another way of gaining experience that doesn’t require you to do anything. Thanks to a Party Assist feature, playing together now counts towards common quest progress. That means you don’t have to do the quests separately for them to be completed. Each person now helps to complete the challenge. Unlike in the past, playing together doesn’t grant a bonus XP% anymore. That was done after an experience rework. Players felt motivated to only play together; otherwise, they would fall behind. Now, there’s no such incentive. Playing together just speeds up the task completion. BLOG20

Drop in a Hot Zone

There’s zero point in not dropping into the most player-active areas. The worst part is having to restart a match. The best thing is that you get extra experience right from the get-go. Drop onto the Battlewood Boulevard, Sandy Strip, or Wonkeeland and show them who’s who. Apart from having a fun PvP time, the hot zones also contain high-tier loot. The better the chests that you open, the more XP you get. Learn all the best spots that you feel comfortable at and play around them. If you don’t think you’re that good in a tense PvP, try our next strategy.

Survive Longer

You don’t have to fight all the time if you’re not that good in PvP. Instead, you can just survive in the match for the longest. Surviving in the match is another way to have a fast rank progression in Fortnite. You can play this game like a PvE shooter and still get enough XP to level up. Here are some of our tips to survive longer in the match:

  • Don’t Land in the Hot Zones: If you don’t feel confident now, there’s nothing wrong with that. We all have bad days when all our shots go wrong.
  • Loot Fast and Smart: Early-game survival heavily depends on speed. If you know typical loot spawns and where to go for it, do it. Learn the route in and out.
  • Always Carry Mobility: Movement is a lifesaver. Escape bad angles, third parties, and the storm. If you don’t want to engage, just don’t! Use grapples, balloons, or vehicles to reposition.
  • Avoid Unnecessary Fights: If you are sure that you are in a bad position to engage the enemy, don’t shoot. Take the fights only when you are safe. Even if you’ve started a fight, try to finish it fast. Otherwise, you can wait for a third party to arrive.
  • Stay Close to Cover and Height Advantage: Moving around the map, don’t stay in the open. Use trees, walls, rooftops, cliffs, and high ground to break the line of sight and heal when you need it.
  • Rotate Early: Don’t sit in one place for too long. Chapter 7’s map punishes late rotations hard. Move to safe zones before the storm forces you.
  • Don’t Panic When You Get Shot: This will come with experience, but don’t run straight if a shot comes from behind you. Break the line of sight, use cover, build, and move unpredictably. Surprising the opponent is the key to fights. If you are able to not die in the first seconds of combat, your chances of winning grow. It’s the time when your opponent will get nervous, since everything went wrong. Use that and either return fire or run away.

Follow these pieces of advice, and you’ll see yourself being one of the top players on the map every time. Truly, knowing how to survive is as important as knowing how to land your shots.

Focus on the Objectives

If you really want to maximize your XP gains and level up fast, you need to do the objectives. That means focusing on completing the missions, tasks, quests, and challenges. Just jumping into the fray isn’t enough. Each match, set your goals, think about what you want to achieve, and don’t just run around. If you feel like it’s no fun, play the objectives one at a time. The most efficient way to do this is by planning your route ahead. Think of what objectives you can complete before the round ends. Playing the objectives is the ultimate answer to how to earn XP quickly in Fortnite.

Conclusion

Despite what clickbaity videos say, there’s truly no instant way to get tons of levels fast. The only way you can do that is by learning how to play effectively. In this guide, we have covered all realistic ways to earn the levels fast. See you soon, when we have more content to discuss. Stay tuned!

The weekly challenges, by far, reward you with the most experience.

Is the Battle Pass worth it for faster leveling?

Absolutely, as it allows you to do more quests that are available only to BP owners.

Do XP events help leveling?

Yes. They’re basically extra weekly challenges that usually provide 10,000 XP each, along with cosmetics.
