Gold Sprites in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4

Gold Sprites are special golden versions of regular Sprites. If you don’t know what the Sprites are, I recommend checking out our Fortnite Sprites Guide that contains all the info on them that you might need. The Gold Sprites are easy to tell apart from the other ones because of their shiny gold body, which is both good and bad. Good because you won’t miss one if it drops. Bad because other players won’t miss it either if you’re carrying it on your back. You want to risk your life for them because they give a really nice XP boost. Gold Sprites give 3x bonus XP from eliminations, making them useful for Battle Pass leveling if you have the guts to fight after finding one of them. They are extremely rare, by the way. Unless you’re someone who mostly hides until top 10, these Sprites aren’t that big of a deal for you. Otherwise, the reward for playing well and playing aggressively is quite handsome. There are currently 11 Gold Sprite variants in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4:

Sonic, Tails, and Shadow are part of the Sonic collab, while the rest are from Fortnite’s own Sprite lineup.

Gold Sprite Locations

The main way to get Gold Sprites is by finding and entering Cheat Codes around the island. You can also get one by killing another player who already found it, but it’s not a reliable way of getting them. Searching Cheat Code spots is much more sensible, and there are tons of them scattered around each POI. Even that doesn’t give you a 100% chance of getting a Gold Sprite, though. It only gives you a chance to get one. These are the confirmed Gold Sprite spawn locations in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4:

Of all these locations, I’d travel to Green Hill Zone or Stone Sanctum first, since they have the highest number of Gold Sprite spawns, but then again, it’s never been proven that Gold Sprites spawn the same as normal ones. What I mean is that Fishy Sprites are easier to get from fishing spots, Earth Sprites in the woods, etc. For targeted farming of Gold Sprites, just go where your missing Sprite appears. Need Gold Bush? Search Shaken Sanctuary, Sunken Shores, and Heatwave Harbor. Need Gold 8-Bit? Focus Reality’s Reign and Green Hill Zone. Need Gold Killswitch? Wait for night and start checking POIs.

 

 

Gold Sprite Farming Route

The best way to farm Gold Sprites is to build a small route around POIs with shared spawns. A route that I take every run is this:

1. Land at Green Hill Zone or Stone Sanctum
2. Search nearby Cheat Code spots
3. Enter every Cheat Code you find
4. Watch for players carrying Gold Sprites
5. Make a decision to move to Golden Grove, Reality’s Reign, or The Battlewoods
6. If it’s your first Gold Sprite, survive. If it’s not, play aggressively

If Gold Power Hour is active (2-4 PM ET and 9-11 PM ET), that’s the best time to farm. Golden Power Hour increases the odds of Gold Sprite spawns, so if you need a Gold Sprite, try to plan grinding ahead for that window if you’re missing rare variants. You should avoid relying on old Sprite Chest routes too much. Chapter 7 Season 4 changed the system, and Cheat Codes are the main source of Sprites now.

 

 

Gold Crown and Gold Klombo

These two Gold Sprites seem to be the hardest to get right now, at least cause they don’t drop normally as the others do:

• Gold Crown Sprite: Reported to be found around Stone Sanctum, Green Hill Zone, The Battlewoods, and Golden Grove. You gotta keep one thing in mind - Gold Crown requires mastering the Cheat Master Crown Sprite before it becomes available. Before you start looking for the golden version, make sure you have your regular Crown Sprite upgraded!
• Gold Klombo: This one, on the other hand, doesn’t require you to fulfill any condition. It’s an extremely rare drop, with some websites reporting that it has a 0.00001% drop chance, but there’s no official info on that. 

Even the developer’s official website just says that Klombo is very rare, which means that it drops less frequently than other Gold options, but doesn’t necessarily mean that it has such a low drop rate. If Gold Klombo is your target, farm it preferably during Gold Power Hour, cause there’s a good chance you’ll spend hundreds of hours to find one in normal modes.
