As you might have already noticed, apart from major Renown factions in Dragonflight, the game’s creators have also implemented minor factions. They all belong to the Valdrakken Accord and can be considered its sub-factions. However, each represents its own way of gaining Reputation and offers exclusive rewards to a player who decides to show loyalty to them.
The Dragonflight expansion brings four minor factions to the game. They are Artisan’s Consortium, Cobalt Assembly, Wrathion, and Sabellian. It is important to mention that the last two are kind of sister factions functioning similarly. Still, they provide you with exclusive rewards and have different storylines to complete.
In this article, we will share all the details you want to know about each of these factions. The most important part is devoted to the ways of getting Dragonflight minor factions Renown rewards. On top of that, you will learn all the methods and sources you can fall back on to obtain Renown in Dragonflight.
Before we plunge into the article’s topic deeper, we would like to remind you of one thing. All factions you meet while traveling around the Dragon Isles are just a side activity. No matter how hard you try, leveling them to the cap does not provide you with high-rank equipment. If your primary goal is to gear up, you should pay more attention to raiding instead.
This in-game activity has been with us for ages. It is super exciting and fun to take part in a raid. However, it takes much time and effort to get prepared for it. However, not all of us are ready to spend 3-4 hours fighting another boss. If you still wish to get all the best rewards, make sure to try our WoW Raid Boost services. Our pro players will do the entire job for you while the only thing left for you is to enjoy the loot.
IMPORTANT NOTE: At SkyCoach, you can also Buy WoW Boost at the lowest prices and with the fastest delivery. You can make your first purchase even CHEAPER if you find our special PROMO CODE (highlighted in green) hidden in this article and get a 20% DISCOUNT.
Getting Acquainted with the Artisan’s Consortium
The Artisan’s Consortium is a true find for players who wish to master their professions. Befriending this minor faction grants a ton of Knowledge Points you need to progress further in your profession specializations. On top of that, people focusing on Inscription and Engineering will learn a whole bunch of unique recipes. Those who specialize in other professions will learn a few recipes as well.
As an extra bonus, you will get access to Pentagold Seal. The latter is a unique crafting reagent required in certain crafting recipes. This part of our article is devoted to Artisan’s Consortium Reputation guide in particular. Keep reading it to find the table containing all the rewards available with this faction.
For now, take a look at how many Artisan’s Consortium Reputation levels you are to go through to reach the cap:
- Neutral (0 Reputation in total);
- Preferred (500 Reputation in total);
- Respected (2,500 Reputation in total);
- Valued (5,500 Reputation in total);
- Esteemed (12,500 Reputation in total).
There are only 5 levels, but the whole Reputation farming process is relatively slow. Therefore, it will take you quite a while to get to the final threshold. Still, the time invested is worth it, as the rewards are truly unique and cannot be found anywhere else.
The Artisan’s Consortium Location
While exploring the Dragon Isles, you will undoubtedly visit Valdrakken, the major city of the entire expansion. This is where you should look for an NPC named Rabul. He is the quartermaster of this faction and can be found between the Artisan’s Market and the Obsidian Enclave.
All other faction NPCs you are going to encounter are not that important. Exactly Rabul sells all the unique items and teaches you various crafting recipes. This NPC is your key to unlocking Artisan’s Consortium Reputation, as you need to talk to him to start the storyline.
Farming Artisan’s Consortium Reputation
Since the Artisan’s Consortium faction mainly deals with professions, the most widespread way of getting Reputation with it is to complete Crafting Orders Quests. To be able to take this weekly quest, your character should reach level 25 in one or both professions. Yeah, this quest is available for each profession separately. Once you have hit the required level, make your way to Azley. You can find her standing near Rabul.
The quest’s task is relatively difficult, as it requires you to complete 5 Crafting Orders. Though, the rewards are just a bunch of Valdrakken Accord and Artisan’s Consortium Reputation points. Getting this quest done can actually take you a week if you do not use the following sneaky trick we offer in our guide. BLOG20
Let us imagine you are playing as a blacksmith. In this case, you are going to get the Blacksmithing Services Requested quest. To complete it quicker, use your alt to create a personal order for your main character. You can create any item and set any price, as you are the one who pays for it. For example, it can be Sturdy Expedition Shovel. If you do not have an alt, you can ask your guild members to create a private order requiring you to craft the same item.
Moving further, we have Collection Quests that look different depending on what profession(s) you are focusing on. To explain it in a few words, your main task is to explore the Dragon Isles and discover a specific reagent. Once you achieve level 25 in your profession, visit Gnoklin Quirkcoil and Temnaayu to take these quests. These NPCs are located on the opposite side of the stairs, not that far from Rabul.
An example of this quest is Peacock Pigments. The latter is available to players specializing in Inscription. You are to collect x8 Peacock Feather and return them to Gnoklin Quirkcoil. Keep in mind that it may take a while to complete this quest, as the chance of collecting the required material is relatively low.
Up next, we have World Quests combined with Contracts. You can craft Contract: Artisan’s Consortium if you specialize in Inscription or simply purchase it from the Auction House. This contract grants you 15 Reputation points with this faction only each time you complete a World Quest.
As you progress further in the chosen profession, you can take a Weekly Profession Quest from your profession trainer. For that, you need to be no lower than level 50 in a chosen profession. The task is quite simple yet varies depending on what field you are focusing on. For instance, a crafter may be required to create a particular item or crafting reagent. As a gatherer, you are to collect a rare herb/ore/leather.
Finally, you have a bunch of One-Time Quests to complete. They are all scattered around the Dragon Isles and can be found in Valdrakken, the Ruby Life Shrine, and the Ohn’ahran Plains. Most of them are quite straightforward and do not take too much time to complete. However, the rewards you get for successful completion include not only Reputation points, but also Dragon Shard of Knowledge. The latter can be returned to Khadin in Ohn’ahran Plains to get Knowledge Points as a reward.
Artisan’s Consortium Rewards
Down below, you see the list of rewards you can get while progressing with the Artisan’s Consortium faction. Most of them are crafting recipes. However, you can buy a unique item whose name varies depending on your profession. It grants extra Knowledge Points that you can use for leveling a chosen specification branch. In the table, we are taking the Blacksmithing profession as an example.
As you can see, the list of rewards is quite extensive. It contains tons of recipes for various professions. However, none of them empowers your character significantly. Though, you have other ways of getting high-rank gear. One of them is clearing a dungeon and getting generously rewarded. If you do not have enough time or feel unprepared, we have you covered. Be sure to check our Mythic Carry services where our pro players will take care of any dungeon for you. We guarantee the fastest completion time and best result. Once the job is done, you can enjoy the loot and continue your journey.
Getting Acquainted with the Cobalt Assembly
The Cobalt Assembly is a great choice for players specializing in Alchemy, Leatherworking, and Tailoring. The reason for that is you get a chance of learning unique recipes for the mentioned professions. Besides, you will get level 389 epic rings increasing your tanking, healing, or damaging capabilities. On top of that, you will unlock up to 8 Dragonriding cosmetics.
As an extra bonus, you will learn the history of a small faction living in the northern Azure Span. The members of this clan fight against drakonids and dracthyr to protect their land and magical artifacts. They will not succeed without you. This part of our article is devoted to Cobalt Assembly Reputation guide in particular. Keep reading it to find the table containing all the rewards available with this faction.
For now, take a look at how many Cobalt Assembly Reputation levels you are to go through to reach the cap:
- Empty (0 Reputation in total);
- Low (300 Reputation in total);
- Medium (1,200 Reputation in total);
- High (3,600 Reputation in total);
- Maximum (10,000 Reputation in total).
As you can see, there are five levels for you to go through. Reaching the final stage is challenging indeed. However, the rewards are quite decent and worth every minute spent.
The Cobalt Assembly Location
All the members of this faction are located in Azure Span. You will be interacting with Steiz, the faction’s quartermaster. However, to begin the Cobalt Assembly storyline, you need to talk to Xavin, the student of Wild Arcana. After that, you will start the Welcome to the Assembly quest.
Keep in mind that unlocking Cobalt Assembly Reputation requires you to be level 70. The reason for this is that you are going to fight elite mobs. The majority of them are of the maximum level. Therefore, you really want to hit the level’s cap and gear up before starting to farm Reputation with this faction.
Farming Cobalt Assembly Reputation
The whole Reputation gaining process is quite straightforward and comes down to killing mobs. You are to slay Sundered Flame enemies wandering around the area. Doing so grants you Uncommon Moderate Arcana and Rare Major Arcana. The first item provides you with 15 Reputation points and the second one provides you with 200 points respectively.
To speed up the grinding process, you are to gather a group of mobs before killing them. Use your AoE spells to do this more efficiently. As you continue defeating mobs, you will discover Wild Arcana Orbs. They work almost identically if compared to Anima Orbs from Torghast. Activating them allows you to choose special power lasting for one minute. It increases the grinding speed significantly. The only problem is to keep the effect activated for as long as possible.
As an extra bonus, you will unlock access to additional Wild Arcana bonuses. They stay active all the time and grant impressive boost. Though, you cannot unlock all of them at once. To do this, you need to reach a particular Reputation level with the faction.
Power | Required Reputation Level | Cost |
---|---|---|
Cobalt Cutthroat | Empty | x50 Dragon Isles Supplies |
Cobalt Reputation | Low | x200 Dragon Isles Supplies |
Extra Wild Arcana | Low | x100 Dragon Isles Supplies |
Arcane Shield | Low | x200 Dragon Isles Supplies |
Azure Arise | Medium | x500 Dragon Isles Supplies |
Arcane Instability | High | x500 Dragon Isles Supplies |
Unhelpful Fireworks | High | x1000 Dragon Isles Supplies |
Once you reach the stated level and have enough Dragon Isles Supplies, speak to Xavin to unlock these powers.
Cobalt Assembly Rewards
Down below, you see the list of rewards you can get while progressing with the Cobalt Assembly faction. Most of them are transmog items (e.g. Dragonriding cosmetics). They are sold by Meiz. At the same time, you can buy crafting recipes. The latter is sold by Steiz.
To get all the described rewards, you are to reach level 70 first. This is not as simple as it looks because it takes a lot of time and effort. If your primary goal is to start befriending the Cobalt Assembly as soon as possible, we are here to help. By ordering our WoW Powerleveling services, our pro players will get to the level’s cap in a blink of an eye. We offer reasonable prices and the shortest completion time for our clients.
Getting Acquainted with Wrathion and Sabellian
Wrathion and Sabellian are technically two different minor factions. Each offers exclusive rewards you cannot get anywhere else. At the same time, they share some general rewards as well. Both are fighting to become the main representative of the Black Dragonflight at the Obsidian Throne in the Waking Shores. Your task is to decide whom you are going to support. Each week, you can choose one faction and complete a range of quest with it.
Progressing with one of these (or both) factions grants you unique obsidian Dragonflight drake weapons and armor pieces, a few toys, pets, and even level 389-398 equipment. This part of our article is devoted to Wrathion and Sabellian Reputation guide in particular. Keep reading it to find the tables containing all the rewards available with these factions.
For now, take a look at how many Wrathion and Sabellian Reputation levels you are to go through to reach the cap:
- Acquaintance (0 Reputation in total);
- Cohort (8,400 Reputation in total);
- Ally (16,800 Reputation in total);
- Fang (25,200 Reputation in total);
- Friend (33,600 Reputation in total);
- True Friend (42,000 Reputation in total).
Keep in mind that gaining Reputation points for one faction does not refresh your progress with another one. In the long run, you will be able to reach the cap with both factions and get all the rewards.
Wrathion and Sabellian Location
Both factions’ quartermasters are located in the Obsidian Citadel in the Waking Shores. These are the main NPCs you are going to interact with.
Lorena Belle acts as Wrathion’s quartermaster. She also sells the general and faction exclusive rewards.
Samia Inkling acts as Sabellian’s quartermaster. Just like with the previous NPC, you can buy a range of general and faction-exclusive rewards from her.
Unlocking Wrathion and Sabellian Reputation is relatively easy, as you only need to reach level 70. You get access to level these factions together with World Quests. Once you hit the required level, you can start the Allegiance to One quest. The latter asks you to choose one faction you are going to stick to for one week. Choosing one over another does not mean you can only earn Reputation with it. This is possible to gain Reputation with both factions simultaneously, but you will have more quests with the one you show your loyalty to.
Farming Wrathion and Sabellian Reputation
The whole Reputation grinding process is quite straightforward and takes a few minutes to get a sense of. To put it in a few words, you are to slay Djaradin mobs wandering around the Obsidian Citadel. Defeating them grants you Key Fragments and Key Framing. They are necessary to merge them into Restored Obsidian Key.
You need to collect x30 Key Fragments and x3 Key Framing to get one key. The first key you are going to assemble should be delivered to the faction you have chosen to stick to this week. All other keys can be returned to one of the NPCs from the list below:
- Wrathion will reward you with 250 Reputation with this faction only and 50 Reputation with the Valdrakken Accord;
- Sabellian will reward you with 250 Reputation with this faction only and 50 Reputation with the Valdrakken Accord;
- Forgemaster Bazentus will reward you with 75 Reputation with both factions and 50 Reputation with the Valdrakken Accord;
- Igys the Believer will reward you with 75 Reputation with both factions and 50 Reputation with the Valdrakken Accord.
On top of that, you will see a bar that is going to fill slowly as you keep returning the keys. Each NPC requires a certain number of them. Once you manage to hit the required count, a special event will start. Finishing it successfully grants additional Reputation with one or both factions.
- Gather 20 keys and return them to Wrathion to start the Clearing the Vault quest. Your task is to slay Shas’ith, a rare mob hiding in the depths of the Obsidian Citadel. Doing that provides you with 250 Reputation with this faction;
- Gather 20 keys and return them to Sabellian to start the Death’s Shadow quest. Your task is to defeat the Death’s Shadow rare mob. Doing that provides you with 250 Reputation with this faction;
- Gather 10 keys and return them to Forgemaster Bazentus to start the Forging the Answer quest. Your task is to kill the mobs wandering around the Obsidian Citadel using Seared Defender’s Blade. Doing that provides you with 100 Reputation with both factions.
- Gather 10 keys and return them to Igys the Believer to start the Breaking the World quest. Your task is to defeat the Morchok rare mob. Doing that provides you with 100 Reputation with both factions.
On top of all the mentioned Reputation sources, you should try and talk to other NPCs in the Obsidian Citadel. Doing so provides you with a chance of obtaining up to 3 weekly quests with the chosen faction and 1 quest with the one another you left for future leveling.
Wrathion and Sabellian General Rewards
As we have stated earlier, both Lorena Belle and Samia Inkling sell exclusive rewards available with a particular faction only. However, you can purchase some items from both of these quartermasters.
It is important to mention that achieving the required Reputation level with one of the factions is enough to purchase a particular item.
