WoW SoD Phase 4 Warrior Runes

We want to start answering the question of where to find Warrior runes by naming the latest WoW SoD Warrior phase 4 runes that have been officially announced. A total of 11 runes were added for Warriors:

  1. Fresh Meat - Damaging a target with Bloodthirst has a 100% chance the first time and a 10% chance each subsequent time to Enrage you (activating abilities which requiring being Enraged), and cause you to deal 10% increased Physical damage for 12 sec.
  2. Shockwave - Sends a wave of force in front of the warrior, causing 260 damage and stunning all enemy targets within 10 yards in a frontal cone for 4 sec.
  3. Sudden Death - Your melee hits have a 10% chance to grant Sudden Death. Sudden Death allows one use of Execute regardless of the target's health state. When Execute is enabled by Sudden Death, you will retain 10 rage after using Execute.
  4. Axe Specialization - Skill with Axes and Two-Handed Axes increased by 5. This effect is not cumulative with racial bonuses or other ring runes.
  5. Dagger Specialization - Skill with Daggers increased by 5. This effect is not cumulative with racial bonuses or other ring runes.
  6. Defense Specialization - Defense skill increased by 25. Not cumulative with other ring runes.
  7. Fist Weapon Specialization - Skill with Fist Weapons (Unarmed) increased by 5. This effect is not cumulative with racial bonuses or other ring runes.
  8. Mace Specialization - Skill with Maces and Two-Handed Maces increased by 5. This effect is not cumulative with racial bonuses or other ring runes.
  9. Pole Weapon Specialization - Skill with Staves and Polearms increased by 5. This effect is not cumulative with racial bonuses or other ring runes.
  10. Ranged Weapon Specialization - Skill with Bows, Guns, Crossbows, and Thrown weapons increased by 5. This effect is not cumulative with racial bonuses or other ring runes.
  11. Sword Specialization - Skill with Swords and Two-Handed Swords increased by 5. This effect is not cumulative with racial bonuses or other ring runes.

WoW SoD Warrior Head Runes & Locations

The runes for the head slot specialize in enhancing various skills and mechanics of Warriors. These runes will be useful to both DPS builds and tanks.

  • Shield Mastery
  • Taste for Blood
  • Vigilance

You should try to get all of these runes, even if you don't plan on using them all, which you can't. Still, should you decide to respec into a different role, you'll most likely need a different head rune to go with the new build.

Shield Mastery

This rune increases the damage you deal while you have the shield equipped. On top of that it reduces the duration of Disarm abilities that your enemies cast on you.

Shield Mastery Location & How to Get:

  1. Attain "Friendly" reputation with the Emerald Wardens by doing an activity called Nightmare Incursions.
  2. Pay 1 gold 60 silver to buy Rune of the Protector from one of the quartermasters.

Taste for Blood

Whenever Rend deals damage, it automatically leads to activation of Overpower, which can only occur once in 6 seconds.

Taste for Blood Location & How to Get:

You must find several golem parts and then destroy the golem. Parts can be found in these locations:

  • Left Arm - Slag Pit at 42.0 44.6.
  • Right Arm - in a cave under Slag Pit at 49.4 37.1.
  • Left Foot - under Slag Pit at 42.6 30.4.
  • Right Foot - Slag Pit at 43 32.3.

Activate the Obliterator by bringing the parts to where the head is - Searing Gorge at 65 45. Kill it to get the rune. You can also speedrun this by joining a player who already has all the parts, in which case you just help them kill the monster to get the rune.

Vigilance

A buff that you can apply onto a party member that will reduce their incoming damage by 3% and transfer 10% of aggro to you. Each time someone attacks your ally with the buff active, it will refreshes the cooldown of your own Taunt. The buff is active for 30 minutes.

Vigilance Location & How to Get:

All you gotta do is kill this one lvl 46 elite called Tyrant of the Hive and get the rune from him. Go to 77.6 62.0 to find this elite.

WoW SoD Warrior Wrists Runes & Locations

The wrists runes are characterized by their focus on specific core abilities. As you'll see  in a moment, each of these runes improves one or the other ability adding a new mechanic tied to it.

  • Rampage

Rampage

Acivates a new buff or a state that increases your damage by 2% incrementally. Lasts 30 seconds.

  1. Go to 75.0 25.0 in Feralas
  2. Kill Ohk'zi

Sword and Board

Devastate and Revenge have a 30% chance to reset the cooldown of Shield Slam.

Sword and Board Location & How to Get:

  1. Accept the quest "The Wild Gods" from Shadowtooth Emissary in the Emerald Sanctuary in Felwood (51.6 82.0). Note: Requires level 40.
  2. Kill elites in Jintha’alor in The Hinterlands until you acquire Wildwhisper Draught.
  3. Defeat the final boss in Razorfen Downs and clear the area.
  4. Use Wildwhisper Draught on the small ledge to spawn the Spirit of Agamaggan.
  5. Turn in the quest at the Spirit of Agamaggan to receive Agamaggan's Roar and the follow-up quest "The Wild Gods".
  6. Collect 3 Wild Offering in Zul’Farrak, Maraudon, or Blackrock Depths.
  7. In Zul’Farrak, kill bosses to spawn a spider ghost, use Agamaggan's Roar near it, defeat the Delirious Ancient, and loot Wild Offering.
  8. In Maraudon, defeat Princess Theradras to spawn a raptor ghost, use Agamaggan's Roar near it, defeat the Delirious Ancient, and loot Wild Offering.
  9. In Blackrock Depths, defeat specific bosses to spawn a basilisk ghost, use Agamaggan's Roar near it, defeat the Delirious Ancient, and loot Wild Offering.
  10. Return to Shadowtooth Emissary in Felwood to turn in the quest and receive Hyjal's Wisdom, allowing you to learn the rune.

Wrecking Crew

Each time you crit, it Enrages you, which will increase the critical strike damage by 10% for the next 10 seconds.

Wrecking Crew Location & How to Get:

  1. Get to level 41.
  2. Farm Witherbark trolls in The Hinterlands at 18 54
  3. Obtain Geode Hammer.
  4. Farm more trolls using Geode Hammer until it becomes Broken Geode Hammer that contains Rune of Demolition.

Changes an ability making it an instant cast

  1. Find the Dalaran Agent at Deadwind Pass (52.0 34.6)
  2. Obtain and put on the Ariden's Sigil
  3. Kill seven Dark Riders found in multiple locations - Deadwind Pass, Duskwood, Swamp of Sorrows, Arathi Highlands, The Barrens, Desolace, Badlands
  4. Return to the Agent to claim the rune

Focused Rage Rune

All abilities that require Rage as resource now require less of it

  1. Go to Arathi Highlands at 63 77
  2. Farm Witherbark trolls to get get  Witherbark Mallet
  3. Use it on the gong in that cave to spawn an Elite
  4. Defeat the elite mob to claim the rune

Blood Surge Rune

Some of your abilities make Slam instant and free to use.

  1. Farm Alterac Mountains in Arathi Highlands to get Illegible Recipe
  2. Go to 57.6 74.5 to get a new quest
  3. Get 3 items:
    • Hybrid Haunch: Drops from Wild Gryphon.

  4. Return to the quest giver

Flagellation Rune

After you activate one of two abilities, you get increased physical damage for 12 seconds on top of it.

  2. Proceed to the crypt on the right, following the coordinates 24, 35
  3. Go left and into a room
  4. On the right side of that room, look for a chest that contains Decrepit Phylactery.
  5. Go back and this time enter the crypt on the left side, following the coordinates 16 38
  6. Use the thing that you looted on a skeleton placed on the altar.
  7. Slay Awakened Lich

Raging Blow Rune

This one gives you a new attack when one of the specified buffs is activated.

  2. Find Grizzby at Ratchet in the Barrens Inn (62 39)
  3. Complete his quests by collecting listed items in the table below
  4. Bring Grizzby these items
  5. Accept and complete Let Me Make You An Offer and Got Yourself A Deal quests, which will eventually lead you back to Grizzby.

  • Farm Lady Sedorax who can be found around Cliffspring River.

For Alliance in Westfall:

  2. Farm Old Murk-Eye is found on the coast of Westfall.
  3. Farm Slark found on the coast of Westfall.
  4. Farm Sergeant Brashclaw was found west of Saldean’s Farm.
  5. Farm Brack found on the coast of Westfall.

For Alliance in Loch Modan

  1. Farm elite ogres found at Mo’grosh Stronghold to make them drop the item called Battle Totem.
  2. Use the totem to throw a duel to Haren Swifthoof who is a level 19 elite mob.

For Horde in The Barrens:

  1. Go to the Crossroads
  2. Obtain Horde Warbanner there
  3. Go to Northwatch Hold
  4. Place the Horde Banner in place of the Alliance banner
  5. Kill Lieutenant Stonebrew

For Horde in Silverpine Forest:

  1. Travel to Skittering Dark
  2. Slay Web Wrap
  3. Slay Lost Adventurer

This is the rune for your two-handed weapon builds. It is basically a new attack skill that you can use if you use this type of weapon. Again, the steps for getting it differ based on

For Alliance in Darkshore:

  1. Go to coordinates 48 16
  2. Get Gnarled Harpoon, which you will find there
  3. Use it to slay Paxnozz

For Alliance in Loch Modan:

  1. Go to coordinates 41 72
  2. Farm Troggs to get them to drop an item called Cracked Skull-Shaped Geode.
  3. Get Stunned from Stonesplinter Skullthumper

For Alliance in Westfall:

  1. Farm Defias and loot Gillsbane

  3. Interact with the Medusa statue
  4. Defeat Medusa

For Horde in The Barrens:

  1. Go to these coordinates - 62.8 38.2, which will lead you to the docks in Ratchet

Single-Minded Fury Rune

Another rune that will be useful for those builds that use dual-wielding. It increases the movement speed and damage dealt.

  • Horde: get the friendly level with Durotar Supply and Logistics and buy the rune.

Victory Rush Rune

This is an interesting rune because it adds a new attack that you can only use after you kill one enemy. Not only does it deal damage, but it also heals you! The method of obtaining it depends on the race.

  1. Go to Northshire and find Marshal McBride
  2. Accept the quest Investigate Echo Ridge
  3. Venture into the mine following the quest objective and reach the end of the mine.

For Gnomes and Dwarves:

  1. Go to Coldridge Valley and find Sten Stoutarm
  2. Accept the quest Simple Run
