Right now, there’s no info about some of the latest rune locations. Most runes are accessible at various locations, and most characters, regardless of their race or faction, can obtain them. The only exceptions are runes tied to race-specific quests or those obtained by defeating mobs that are otherwise affiliated with the player's faction. Now, let’s break down how to get Hunter runes WoW SoD and what are the requirements for each faction and race.

WoW SoD Hunter Feet Runes & Locations

This slot contains runes from Phases 2 and 4 that provide various enhancements to the basic Hunter toolkit

  1. Dual Wield Specialization

The new rune in Phase 4 is the most exciting one, because it adds a new abilitity that deals damage and applies a painful DoT effect.

Wyvern Strike

This rune adds a new ability that deals damage and causes your target to bleed over 8 seconds, which is very effective, especially if you're trying to farm mobs.

WoW SoD Hunter Chest Runes & Locations

Let’s begin with all Hunter rune locations SoD for the chest slot. There are four of them in total. Chest runes offer unique enhancements. They provide specialized effects such as boosting critical hits, enhancing overall damage output, strengthening the Hunter and their allies, or optimizing critical strike chance and mana efficiency.

  1. Cobra Slayer: Mongoose Bite now has a 5% chance to activate on each of your melee attacks, a 100% chance when an enemy dodges. This chance accumulates, with the chance rising by 5% from each subsequent attack if it does not reset. Mongoose Bite also deals additional damage equal to 40% of your Attack Power.
  2. Cobra Strikes: This rune empowers the Hunter's pet by making the next two special attacks critically hit when the Hunter achieves critical hits with Shot abilities, enhancing overall damage output.
  3. Heart of the Lion (no longer a rune): By invoking the heart of a lion, this ability boosts total stats by 10% for all nearby allies and provides an additional 10% increase for the Hunter, fostering group synergy and enhancing individual strength.
  4. Lone Wolf: This rune promotes solo play by granting a 30% increase in damage with all attacks when the Hunter operates without an active pet, emphasizing self-reliance and increased damage potential in solo situations.
  5. Master Marksman: Enhances the Hunter's combat effectiveness by increasing critical strike chance by 5% and reducing the Mana cost of all Shot abilities by 25%, optimizing resource management and increasing the likelihood of critical hits.

All Hunter runes WoW SoD contribute to the diversity of playstyles and strategic choices available to Hunters, allowing them to tailor their abilities to specific situations and preferences.

Cobra Slayer Rune

Cobra Strikes Rune

This rune introduces a dynamic synergy between the Hunter and their loyal companion. When the Hunter achieves critical hits with their Shot abilities, the latent power of Cobra Strikes activates, enabling the Hunter's pet to deliver the next two special attacks as critical hits. This synchronization between the Hunter's precision in combat and the pet's subsequent heightened attacks creates a formidable duo on the battlefield. BLOG20

Cobra Strikes Rune location & how to get:

  1. Reach at least level 20
  2. Acquire Freshwater Snapper Bait from Zixil, a vendor traveling on the main road in the Hillsbrad Foothills.

  5. Defeat Koartul to obtain the Cobra Strikes rune as a drop.

The impact of Cobra Strikes is particularly significant in enhancing overall damage output. As the Hunter strategically deploys critical Shot abilities, they not only deal substantial damage themselves but also trigger a chain reaction that empowers their pet to deliver devastating critical strikes. This symbiotic relationship between the Hunter and their pet adds a layer of strategic depth to their playstyle, allowing for coordinated and impactful assaults on adversaries. The result is a more potent and synergized combat approach, where critical hits from the Hunter's shots set the stage for the pet to unleash powerful, critical special attacks, contributing to the overall effectiveness of the Hunter-pet tandem in the Season of Discovery.

Heart of the Lion Rune

This rune, once obtained, grants the Hunter the ability to invoke the heart of a lion, bestowing a 10% increase in total stats for all nearby allies and an additional 10% boost specifically for the Hunter.

Lone Wolf Rune

When equipped, the Lone Wolf rune empowers the Hunter with a unique ability. In the absence of an active pet companion, the Hunter experiences a remarkable surge in strength, dealing 30% increased damage with all attacks. This substantial damage boost underscores the Hunter's self-reliance and adaptability in situations where a loyal animal companion is not present.
