WoW SoD Phase 2 Hunter Runes
Every class gets two new runes in Phase 2. Each class will be receiving two new runes, one for their belt and one for their boots. However, it's important to remember that Season of Discovery's development is ongoing, and details may change closer to release. So, here are the WoW SoD Hunter phase 2 runes: BLOG20
- Melee Specialist - This rune modifies the abilities of the Melee Specialist class in the WoW Classic Season of Discovery. With this rune equipped in the waist slot, the Raptor Strike ability sees significant alterations. The cooldown of Raptor Strike is reduced to 3 seconds, and it becomes an instant cast. Furthermore, the usual cooldown for Mongoose Bite is completely eliminated. Additionally, there is a 30% chance on each attack for Raptor Strike not to trigger its cooldown. These modifications enhance the Melee Specialist's agility and combat flow, allowing for more frequent and dynamic use of Raptor Strike in the heat of battle.
- Trap Launcher - This rune introduces changes to the Trap Launcher ability in WoW Classic Season of Discovery. With this rune equipped, your Traps gain increased versatility. They can now be placed at any location within a 40-yard range, even while you are in combat. Moreover, the rune segregates the cooldowns of your Fire-based and Frost-based traps, preventing them from sharing the same cooldown. This alteration provides strategic advantages, allowing players to deploy traps more dynamically in different situations and optimize their crowd control and damage-dealing capabilities.
Right now, there’s no info about the rune locations. Most runes are accessible at various locations, and most characters, regardless of their race or faction, can obtain them. The only exceptions are runes tied to race-specific quests or those obtained by defeating mobs that are otherwise affiliated with the player's faction. Now, let’s break down how to get Hunter runes WoW SoD and what are the requirements for each faction and race.
WoW SoD Hunter Chest Runes & Locations
Let’s begin with all Hunter rune locations SoD for the chest slot. There are four of them in total. Chest runes offer unique enhancements. They provide specialized effects such as boosting critical hits, enhancing overall damage output, strengthening the Hunter and their allies, or optimizing critical strike chance and mana efficiency.
- Cobra Strikes: This rune empowers the Hunter's pet by making the next two special attacks critically hit when the Hunter achieves critical hits with Shot abilities, enhancing overall damage output.
- Heart of the Lion: By invoking the heart of a lion, this ability boosts total stats by 10% for all nearby allies and provides an additional 10% increase for the Hunter, fostering group synergy and enhancing individual strength.
- Lone Wolf: This rune promotes solo play by granting a 30% increase in damage with all attacks when the Hunter operates without an active pet, emphasizing self-reliance and increased damage potential in solo situations.
- Master Marksman: Enhances the Hunter's combat effectiveness by increasing critical strike chance by 5% and reducing the Mana cost of all Shot abilities by 25%, optimizing resource management and increasing the likelihood of critical hits.

Cobra Strikes Rune
Now, let’s continue to where to find Hunter runes, starting with this one. This rune introduces a dynamic synergy between the Hunter and their loyal companion. When the Hunter achieves critical hits with their Shot abilities, the latent power of Cobra Strikes activates, enabling the Hunter's pet to deliver the next two special attacks as critical hits.
