What Is the ARC Raiders Reward Pass?

The Reward Pass is the new progression system replacing Raider Decks with the Frozen Trail update. Developers describe it as an evolution of Raider Decks, but functionally it works much closer to a traditional battle pass. You complete Feats, progress through 60 levels, and unlock rewards along the way. Each Reward Pass is tied to the update it releases with, and this means that the new Reward Pass is tied to Frozen Trail. To sum up, nothing much has changed, except that now the advanced Raider outfit styles and cosmetics are gonna be paid. It’s a pity it’s not fully free like Raider Decks, but at the same time, the crazy money the devs made since launch isn’t gonna last forever. Here’s how the ARC Raiders Reward Pass works:

A few things to note here. Gameplay rewards are still available as unlocks, just like it was with Raider Decks, and since they’re all placed on the free track, nobody gets an unfair advantage just for paying money. As for the Premium track, it contains 1150 Raider Tokens, along with the Free track’s 200 Tokens, so you can instantly buy the next Reward Pass once it comes out, or use these Tokens as a sort of discount to buy an outfit from the shop. If you have enough discipline, you just buy the Reward Pass once, and then it pays for itself in the future updates.
ARC Raiders Free vs Premium Reward Pass
Frozen Trail has one 60-level Reward Pass with Free and Premium tracks running alongside each other. Basic stuff, you’ve seen it before. You don’t need Premium to access the new gameplay content, which is the most important distinction here. You get all the gameplay-influencing things on the Free track. Premium only adds cosmetics, extra outfit styles, and Raider Tokens. So, from what the devs have shown, there is no gameplay advantage in buying Premium. It’s another way to support the developers and get rewards for that. Here’s a comparison of Free vs Premium ARC Raiders Reward Pass:

Free Reward Pass

The Free Pass is pretty generous considering this is where all of the gameplay-affecting rewards are. From what’s been confirmed by developers, we’ll see five new base outfits, new weapons and gadgets, and 20 additional cosmetic items including Scrappy outfits, furniture for Raider Outpost, charms, weapon attachments, and emotes. You can also earn up to 200 Raider Tokens while progressing through it. The Free Reward Pass includes:
- Five new outfits
- New weapons
- New gadgets
- Other gameplay items
- 20 cosmetic rewards
- Up to 200 Raider Tokens
The outfits have already been shown, and I gotta say, they’re really nice-looking. Even better than most paid outfits. You can see them all in the image above. Here’s what they’re called:
- Caposta: Military coat with pauldrons
- Carriga: Cultist clothes, with a mask that looks like Anubis
- Deadwire: Surprisingly futuristic for ARC Raiders, reminds me of Hellzone with big visors on the helmet
- Banshee: Probably the least interesting outfit visually
- Ice Giant: Another futuristic outfit with a military vibe that fits the ARC Raiders style a bit more
If you’re not certain about the future of ARC Raiders, cause it can easily lose returning players again, you’re not missing anything important by staying free. Premium is there for people who want to support developers and look sleek.
Premium Reward Pass
The Premium track costs 1150 Raider Tokens, which I assume you already have since the devs were pretty generous with giving them for free, and you can gain up to 50 additional rewards over the course of 60 levels. Rewards include premium outfit modifications and colorways, exclusive Legendary Weapon Stencils, hairstyles, and Raider Tokens. The Premium Reward Pass includes:
- Premium variants of Reward Pass outfits
- Additional modifications and colorways
- Exclusive Legendary Weapon Stencils
- Hairstyles
- Up to 1150 Raider Tokens
Seems like Raider Decks were too generous, so now the studio decided to make a separate paid reward system. I don’t judge them for that, though it may come off as such. The bills ain’t gonna pay themself. Just make these skins worth spending real money on.
How to Progress the ARC Raiders Reward Pass
Reward Pass progression comes from completing Feats, similar to how Raider Deck progression already encouraged players to complete specific activities. Developers haven’t published the complete Frozen Trail Feat list or the exact requirements for every level yet, though. I don’t expect the Feats to be mini-quests for each level of the Reward Pass. It’s more likely that it’ll take the traditional approach of weekly challenges, doing which will give a large amount of Reward Pass XP. For now, all I know officially is that Feats are the main way to progress the Reward Pass.
Raider Decks and Cred Changes in ARC Raiders Frozen Trail
If you’re worried that the Raider Decks are being completely removed from the game cause you haven’t unlocked all of the rewards yet, first of all - how is it possible? Second of all, they don’t remove them. All of the old cosmetic rewards and Raider Tokens are being combined into a new Legacy Reward Pass, which is completely free. Anything you already earned remains unlocked, and the rewards you missed can be obtained by progressing the Legacy Pass. Here’s how it changed:
- Existing Raider Deck rewards are transferred to the Legacy Pass
- Rewards you already claimed stay unlocked
- Raider Deck rewards you didn’t get are still obtainable
- The Legacy Pass is free for everyone
- Cred does not carry over
Pay attention to that last point. Though Raider Decks aren’t removed, the Cred is. When Frozen Trail launches on October 8, any Cred you still have on your account simply expires. Spend it with Shani or use it on Raider Deck rewards before the update because there is no conversion into Raider Tokens or Reward Pass progress.

Frozen Trail Collector Set

Another way to get the Premium Pass is through the Frozen Trail Collector Set DLC. It includes immediate access to the Premium version of the battle pass, alongside its own collection of cosmetics, Raider Tokens, Outpost furniture, and the Banjo Blueprint. The Collector Set is for players who already know they want Premium and want the extra Frozen Trail cosmetics on top. Here’s what the Frozen Trail Collector Set includes:
- Frozen Trail Premium Reward Pass
- Renzo Outfit and variants
- Dragon’s Breath Weapon Stencil
- Bob Hairstyle
- Scasso Raider Tool
- Renegade Censer Backpack Bling
- Kabuki Face Paint
- Retro Sofa recipe for the Outpost
- Banjo Blueprint
- 2400 Raider Tokens
It’s a crazy good deal to ignore, so if you intend on playing ARC Raiders extensively once the update comes out, I suggest buying this instead of a separate Premium Reward Pass access. The Banjo Blueprint is especially worth mentioning because the Collector Set is the only way to obtain it. The Premium Pass itself does not include the Banjo.
Is the ARC Raiders Premium Reward Pass Worth It?
Short answer: yes if you already play ARC Raiders regularly and expect to finish all 60 levels. The gameplay content is already on the Free track, so Premium is just the fancy fits. The biggest advantage of buying it is that it’s a one-time purchase cause then it pays for itself if you manage to complete it every season. Here’s how I see it based on what kind of player you are:
- Regular player who expects to finish the pass: Premium is worth it
- Mostly interested in weapons and Frozen Trail gameplay: Stay Free
- Not sure how much you'll play: Progress first and decide later
- Want the Full package: Get the Collector Set
It’s great that they’re giving only cosmetic rewards in Premium instead of locking Stiletto, Bantam, Grappling Hook, or another new gameplay item coming to Frozen Trail behind Premium. Whether the 60-level grind itself is slow and will require you to play every day of the whole season, or will it be fast and easy to complete on evenings after work, is the thing that will only be uncovered after the Frozen Trail is live.
