ARC Raiders Outfits Ranked

When it comes to the raider’s looks, each player has their own unique vision. There are over 30 skins available at the time of writing. Some of them are already unavailable, like G-Suit, which was a pre-order bonus. After careful consideration, we’ve picked the top 10 outfits in ARC Raiders. If the skin you enjoy didn’t get added to the list, don’t think it’s bad. Maybe it just slipped our eye, and we didn’t understand its beauty. We don’t claim that the top we made here is the be-all and end-all list to refer to. Instead, it’s a list of what we at Skycoach consider cool-looking. There are several criteria we used to evaluate the outfit’s visuals:

  1. Modularity: One of the top criteria. If the skin can be significantly customized, it gets higher in the list.
  2. Cool Factor: The overall impression. How well-balanced the outfits’ parts are while creating a visually enjoyable picture.
  3. Popularity: Not the most important factor, but still something to consider. If the skin is popular, it must be doing something right.

Beyond those points, we also looked at how each skin fits the ARC Raiders world as a whole. Outfits that feel grounded in the game’s sci-fi setting tend to stand out more than designs that look out of place. Visual clarity also matters. Some skins look great in menus but lose their appeal during actual gameplay. Our goal was to focus on outfits that hold up in motion, under different lighting, and across various environments. With that in mind, the rankings below are meant to be enjoyed, debated, and maybe even disagreed with. Now, let’s look at how we have the ARC Raiders outfits ranked.

10. Riposta

Cool idea, but the outfit lacks that certain oomph. While it looks cool at first glance, the more you look at it, the less appealing it becomes. The mask, the chestpiece, and the shoulder pads all contribute to the fencer's look. The upper half of the skin is memorable, but the lower part of it is soooo boring. It feels half finished. The developers could’ve added an épée to wear at your waist, but instead, it’s just a waist bag and some hose. Still, despite its flaws, it’s a good-looking outfit that has some nice colors and a cool theme. We just wish it had done more with it. The selling points of this skin are:

  • Fencer Outfit: I mean, it’s in the name. You’ve found a full fencing set and decided to add additional protection.
  • Nice Colors: The basic color scheme is great, and the second one too.
  • Threatening: The face covered by the simple oval appears unsettling. If you like PvPing with people, this one’s for you. Just don’t be surprised if someone decides to feed you lead.

There are far worse options in the game, and this skin is really decent. If you like simple, not overdesigned cosmetics, this outfit is right up your alley.

9. Voltedge

One of the first premium skins added to the game. Want to look like a tactical operative mixed with an engineer? This is your choice. This skin has a military aesthetic, despite being vibrant. Combine it with the second color scheme, and the feeling amplifies. The headphones with a microphone and hand tech make you look more than just another surface scavenger. It also has a chestpiece that kinda looks like a bulletproof vest, which makes it look even more like special equipment. One thing that severely brings this skin down is the hose. Of course, you can remove it, but without it, the skin looks, pardon the pun, skinny. Here are the key features to pay attention to:

  • Somewhat Tacticool: The second color scheme makes you look like you’re part of a military unit. If it had more color options and fully embraced this aesthetic, it would’ve been cooler.
  • Looks Friendly: Despite leaning into the military aesthetic, most people using this skin are friendly and rarely attack you.
  • Modular: You can customize it to your liking, but for the most part, it’s fine as it is. Maybe remove the hose, cause it looks goofy.

This outfit fits the game’s retro-futuristic look exceptionally well. Unfortunately, compared to other skins, this one feels a bit basic. Hence, only the 9th place in our top.

8. Misthorn

One of the newly added skins. It’s very creepy, yet beautiful. With it, you’ll look like a cult member. It has a cool cape and an interesting body belt with a rim. The main attraction of this suit is, of course, its mask. Covered in gold with two big horns wrapped with some cloth, reminiscent of some folk horror tale creature. This one will definitely shake up some raiders who’ll see you. While it’s really striking at first glance, if you look closer, you’ll notice that the mask is all it has going for it. The chest and the pants are so bland it hurts. Without the mask, nothing feels as unsettling as with it. There are no ritual tools hung around the waist, no little details that contribute to the visual storytelling. It’s unfortunate; it just needs a little more to move up the list. Some things to look out for:

  • Stunning Headpiece: One of the most memorable headgears currently, hinting at some interesting lore.
  • Cool Theme: While the ARC Raiders is all about retro-futurism, this feels like something from Ari Aster’s movies.
  • Unnerving: If we were to encounter a PvP player in a dark corner with this set on, we’d definitely have gray hair appear on our heads. Psychological warfare for the win.

It’s a really good outfit, it’s just a bit disappointing. If the devs had gone further with it, it could’ve been one of the best skins in the game. As it stands now, it’s a nice horror-themed set that will grasp other players’ attention.

7. Boonie

Want to look like a techwear urban ninja? This skin should be your primary choice. People who wear this probably have their Mobility tree maxed out. The silhouette on this is one of the most visually appealing of all the outfits. It feels like something from a fashion influencer’s wardrobe. It perfectly balances the tight top with baggy, high-waisted pants. The titular boonie hat perfectly complements the rest of the outfit. The colors are also well-suited, with the original being the best overall. The downside is that its modularity doesn’t introduce anything new or interesting to the full image. In fact, removing any piece of it feels like a significant downgrade. It’s definitely one of the skins that was designed as a complete package. Still, it’s one of the most visually appealing skins in the game:

  • Impressive Silhouette: Straight out of an Acronym lookbook.
  • Aesthetically Pleasing: Everything about it just feels right.
  • Hat for Scrappy: It doesn’t directly relate to the set itself, but it’s a nice bonus.

A great skin that can be one of your favorites if you enjoy the street-ninja style of clothing. If you’re not into it, though, the skin might seem like it’s trying a little too hard to be this sporty, edgy combination. We quite like it though.

6. Sforza

One of the poster skins for the game. For a good reason, too. If you were asked to describe the feel of ARC Raiders, you could just show this outfit. It looks like it’s from an 80s comic book. With color schemes, you can look like an action hero or the main villain of the story. It’s fun and leans hard into the retro sci-fi look. Despite being one of the free ARC Raiders skins, it’s very modular, specifically the headgear. Getting the full skin can be a chore, though, as all the visual options unlock at the 75th character level. This skin also resembles a military uniform, and it likely is. Be careful, as certain color schemes make the players more cautious of you, due to some in-game stereotypes. Rocking a black and orange color scheme with a full headgear will definitely make people nervous:

  • Memorable: One of the most visually striking sets in the game. No surprise it was put on the cover.
  • Great Customization: You can tweak it to your liking, but we think that the helm is a key part of what makes this skin so cool.
  • Free: For being absolutely free, this skin looks amazing.

It’s a skin that existed in the game from earlier builds, when the game was supposed to be PvE-oriented. We just wish that the cape on the shoulder was a bit longer, but it’s a brilliant design anyway.

5. Hi-Tech Hiker

Opening up our top 5 is a new free skin that was added with the Cold Snap update. Despite being free, it’s on par with some paid options. It includes some interesting design elements, such as a solar panel on the shoulder and a flare launcher on the hand. The goggles are also really cool, adding to the futuristic look. The skin just tells you a story the more you look at it. It’s built for survival in unforgiving conditions. It also has appealing color schemes that suit it well. It’s the best free skin in ARC Raiders right now. Why only the 5th place then? If you remove all the modules from it, the clothes are plain and lack an interesting silhouette. Here’s a list of its best features:

  • Great Visual Storytelling: In this part alone, it’s one of the best skins in the game. BLOG20
  • Color Schemes: Great color combinations. There are no ugly colors at all.
  • Very Modular: The gadgets on it all make sense and are very expressive. They are big and not afraid to stand out in the outfit.

It’s one of those skins that can become your favorite when fully unlocked. It combines some crazy elements and still feels very organic. The silhouette is bulky, yet it feels like winter sports attire.

4. Bog Walker

One of the most popular ARC Raiders skins. For some reason, ARC Raiders loves big headpieces, and this skin is no exception. It features a striking silhouette: a large helmet, an underwater camera mounted on a belt, and thigh-high boots. If you remove the helmet and use the white and blue color scheme, you’ll slay so hard the ARCs will die from your fabulousness. A cropped jacket makes the fashion diva look even more prominent. It’s kind of funny how a moody set turns into such a fun one. The sprayed eye makeup and a provocative pose on the set’s cover in the outfit list only exaggerate the feeling. Here are some of its strong sides:

  • Memorable Shape: You won’t mistake it for any other set in the game.
  • Fun: While it may seem moody at first glance, it can be turned into the It Girl look with the right setup.
  • Unique: There’s nothing like it in the game. No other set looks remotely similar to it. Well, except for a huge head.

With such an outstanding combination of getting two sets for the price of one, we just can’t put it any lower. It looks great, and the giant head doesn’t hurt the visuals a bit (looking at you, Astrolite).

3. Macrame

While the Boonie skin is only inspired by ninja aesthetics, the Macrame makes your raider look like a full-time ninja. This one is for the Eastern enjoyers. You have a hat that looks like it was looted from a Japanese samurai museum, pauldrons, a wakizashi, and hakama pants. Paired with a set of scrolls and a sake bottle as accessories for your backpack, the look becomes complete. It falls out of the retro sci-fi aesthetic the ARC Raiders goes for, but it’s so good we can’t put it any lower on the list:

  • Eastern Folklore Inspired: What else do you need to look like a ninja?
  • Meticulously Detailed: Even after removing all the customizable parts of the set, it still has many details, such as ribcage-like ropes and a strange device at the waist.
  • Outstanding Color Schemes: The original one looks great, but the blue-and-white version with gold elements is just a beauty.

This is also one of the sets that is extremely popular among the PvP players. If you see a player wearing this, looking your way, be ready for a gunfight. Too bad it doesn’t have a sword as a raider tool.

2. Torpedo

Safe to say this is one of the best ARC Raiders sets. It’s also one of the most popular ones. For a good reason, as it is extremely customizable. It feels like Sforza cranked to one hundred. The headgear is completely customizable, the chest piece can be removed, and you can even remove the sleeves to make it look much more nimble. In the default look, it gives off strong superhero vibes. The color schemes are also quite nice, so if you are one of the players who pays attention to being less noticeable, there’s a color scheme for that. This skin became a fan favorite the moment it was released, so you may encounter many players wearing it. The typical stereotype is that players who wear it aren’t aggressive, but are armed to the teeth. Here are a few things why people love this outfit:

  • Customizable: You can turn it into whatever you like.
  • Extremely Cool: You just can’t ignore how cool it looks. You almost feel stronger wearing it.
  • Popular: If it's important for you, people love this set, and there are many people using it.

This set is where the devs struck gold. There’s almost nothing to critique it for. The color schemes could’ve been a bit brighter, but even with what’s there, it looks great.

1. Driftcoat

And the best ARC Raiders outfit, in our opinion, is the Driftcoat. It’s one of the two pilot attires in the game, but this one is so much better than the other. It has a cool big jacket, a nice helmet, and it’s pretty customizable, too! You really can’t go wrong with this one. It’s hard to find any downsides, as it does everything right. Though it doesn’t have tons of detail or gadgets, it just works. The silhouette is organic, the helmet doesn’t feel too big to look goofy, and the breathing tube is finally pertinent to the skin. The three colorways are great, with the first and second being the most popular ones. You won’t see many players rocking the first option, though, as many believe it makes you too noticeable. So be it, we say, it’s such a great coloring to say no to just because someone will notice you a millisecond sooner. Look at a couple of reasons why people love it:

  • Nigh Perfect: This skin meets all criteria. It’s modular, it’s super cool, and it’s very popular.
  • Fits the Setting: It manages to follow the retro aesthetic without looking dumb.
  • The Jacket: It’s definitely the main appeal, but you can also turn it into a sleeveless jacket if you want to.

There’s not much to say here. This and Torpedo are both really close contenders for first place, but we think that Driftcoat manages to capture the nonchalant coolness that not many other skins can. Not only in this game, but in general.

Conclusion

That’s it for our top ARC Raiders outfits. Whether you agree with us or not is not the point, since everyone has their own taste. We just tried to show off some of the skins that we think deserve their flowers. There were some other close contenders, such as Valente, Luna, and Mirage, but they didn’t make it for various reasons. Still, we hope that you enjoyed reading this list as much as we enjoyed making it. See you in future guides, stay safe!
