ARC Raiders Weapon Stencils Guide Quick Overview:

  • Weapon Stencils function similarly to Blueprints — you find them, learn them, and then use Stencil Parts to change the look of a weapon of your choice.
  • There are 14 Stencils available in the game. They come in four different rarities, and more than half of them can be obtained by opening various containers on maps.
  • Some Stencils can be applied to all weapons, while others only work with a few selected ones.

If you want to get the best out of your limited ARC Raiders playtime this season, Skycoach can help you with ARC Raiders Blueprints. Save yourself the trouble and play on your own terms.

What are Weapon Stencils in ARC Raiders?

Weapon Stencils are a new item introduced in the Frozen Trail update. They function as blueprints that enable you to learn new visual designs for your weapons and then apply them using Stencil Parts — a separate resource that you can find on the maps.

Overall, there are 14 different Stencils available in the game:

  • 3 Uncommon Stencils (these require 2 Stencil Parts)
  • 3 Rare Stencils (these require 4 Stencil Parts)
  • 5 Epic Stencils (these require 7 Stencil Parts)
  • 3 Legendary Stencils (these require 15 Stencil Parts)

Stencil rarity doesn’t necessarily correlate with weapon rarity. It is also worth noting that some Stencils are only able to change the looks of a single weapon, and the rarer the Stencil is, the more limited its application will be.

Finally, some weapons are eating well — like Anvil getting seven different Stencils to choose from, all while some other weapons have to suffice with just three. It is clear that Embark will add more Stencils in the future, but for now the market imbalance is pretty obvious.

How to use Stencils?

Stencils are integrated naturally into the game and work exactly like blueprints: you find one, open it in the inventory — boom, now you’ve learned it and can apply it to weapons (as long as you have the required resources).

If you want to apply a particular Stencil to your weapon, you need to open your stash outside of a raid, choose the desired weapon, then choose the Stencil you need from the menu, and confirm. The game allows you to preview the design before you commit to it, but once you have applied one, there’s no going back.

Speaking of which, you are only allowed to apply Stencils to individual guns, and not to the whole array of your Burlettas at once, for instance. As soon as you lose that particular weapon, your upgraded design is lost with it, and you’ll have to spend more Stencil Parts to improve the looks of another weapon.

Where to Get Stencils?

You can find eight of the Stencils available in the game by simply looting various containers on maps. As long as you keep playing ARC Raiders normally, you are expected to get them all sooner rather than later.

Five Stencils — Fortuna, Sacrifice, Bulwark, Serac, and Empyrean — are only available through purchasing the Frozen Trail Pass. The last Stencil, Dragon’s Breath, can only be obtained through the Frozen Trail Collector Set bundle, making it the only one that is fully locked behind a paywall.

How to Farm Stencil Parts?

From what I can tell, Embark deliberately made some areas more dense with Stencil Parts than others. Overall, you’ll find them in Commercial, Industrial, and Residential POIs no matter the map, but some maps feel more rewarding than others. If I had to pick a few, I’d say Blue Gate, Buried City, Pendola Pass, and Stella Montis are probably your best bets. Just make sure to open every container that you meet along the way.

If you feel like running around is not enough and are fine with spending some of your hard-earned Raider Tokens, the Frozen Trail Reward Pass will throw bundles of three Stencil Parts at you from time to time.

What are Weapon Stencils in ARC Raiders?

Weapon Stencils are basically a kind of blueprint that enables you to change the visual design of your weapons. Some of them mostly affect the color scheme, while others transform the weapon itself. Stencils are purely decorative and have no effect on weapons outside of changing their looks.

Where can I find Weapon Stencils in ARC Raiders?

There are 14 types of Stencils currently available in the game. You can find eight of them by simply exploring the maps and opening various containers. Five Stencils are only available through purchasing the Frozen Trail Premium Pass. The last one is part of the Frozen Trail Collector Set bundle.

How to apply Stencils to weapons in ARC Raiders?

Once you’ve learned a Stencil and collected enough Stencil Parts, open your stash (make sure to do it outside of a raid). After that, choose your weapon, then select the required Stencil from the new menu. You will be able to preview the designs before confirming your final choice.

Where to find Stencil Parts in ARC Raiders?

Stencil Parts are mostly concentrated in Commercial, Industrial, and Residential points of interest across the maps. Blue Gate, Buried City, and Stella Montis are great choices for farming this particular resource.
