ARC Raiders Pendola Pass Map Explained

Pendola Pass is the main new map coming with Frozen Trail. It is located beyond the mountains surrounding the Rust Belt, which marks the first time our Raiders will ever travel outside the familiar land. Celeste and Shani trace a strange signal to an abandoned Italian settlement that once served as an Exodus transport hub, with old village buildings sitting alongside humongous Exodus infrastructure. The highlight of this map is a fallen Emperor ARC containing rare technology, which is the reason Raiders are sent there in the first place. Devs have also emphasized that Pendola Pass is much more vertical than the current maps, with threats and traversal both above and below ground. Here are the main features that make Pendola Pass different:

  • Heavy Verticality: Cliffs, elevated structures, underground areas, and more opportunities to approach locations from different heights, even compared to Riven Tides
  • Fallen Emperor: A massive downed ARC containing rare technology that Raiders need to find a way inside
  • Flash Freeze: Sudden weather events tied to the map itself that make exposed parts of the valley highly dangerous to traverse
  • Dynamic Loot Zones: High and medium value areas can change between raids instead of staying permanently attached to one POI, so you won’t be looting Emperor only
  • Frigate: A huge ARC vessel that I suppose will be a major map condition and won’t be present there every time
  • New ARC Enemies: Bully, Skulker, and Hydra join the ARC roster on Pendola Pass

Riven Tides condensed most of its useful areas into a small map where you could jump between POIs quickly. Pendola Pass seems to go in the opposite direction, with a bigger focus on its size and weather that breaks every plan you’ve had.

ARC Raiders Pendola Pass All Map Areas Guide

There’s no complete Pendola Pass map yet, but devs have already shown and named several important locations. Their exact names aren’t known yet, but the landmarks are quite recognizable. The valley is split between old-world village areas and Exodus buildings, with the fallen Emperor towering above. There will obviously be more named areas once the map is live, but these are the locations worth knowing about before release. For now, take a look at Pendola Pass all map areas:

  • Fallen Emperor: The centerpiece of Pendola Pass. One of ARC’s enormous Emperor machines has crashed in the valley and contains rare technology inside. In case you don’t know what the Emperor is, it’s those towering ARCs that can be seen on Blue Gate’s horizon. Raiders are specifically being sent there to find a way in, so it’s bound to become the most contested area, with new quests very likely focusing on it.
  • Observatory: One of the largest Exodus buildings in the valley. Its loot type and interior layout haven’t been revealed yet, but I guess it’s gonna be heavy on the Exodus loot, or maybe even some new category
  • Buried Train Depot: A former Exodus transport hub located underground. This is one of the areas that best shows Pendola Pass’ focus on layered terrain and fighting both above and below ground.
  • Town Square: Part of the abandoned Italian settlement. A mandatory village that almost every map has.
  • Supermarket: Another old-world location of the settlement, focused more on indoor fighting than the open mountain terrain surrounding it.
  • Frigate: Technically not a normal static POI, bringing something completely new to the game. Raiders can board it and fight through the interior while it patrols Pendola Pass.

There isn’t enough information yet to compare these areas by loot or their PvP activity. Once the map drops, I’ll play it extensively and write about it in detail. For now, this is what we have.

ARC Raiders Pendola Pass Frigate Guide

The Frigate is a big point of attention in this patch, on par with Emperor’s husk. Lorewise, it arrives at Pendola Pass to protect the Emperor from Raiders. Of course, with Raiders being loot goblins, this place becomes another lootable point of interest. You can board it, unlock new routes, and hide from extreme weather while gathering the rarest loot in the game. Hard not to compare it with Marathon’s titular ship. It’s likely to be way smaller, but from trailers, it seems this thing is big enough to cover the whole valley with its shadow, so I can’t be certain about that. It’s a whole other map within a map. Be ready for Stella Montis flashbacks as you encounter other Raiders in close-quarters combat while evading aggressive ARCs present at the location. The Frigate is a close-range PvPvE zone taking place hundreds of feet above the ground, so getting trapped inside with another squad sounds like it’s going to be one of the nastier situations on the map. The Frigate currently involves:

  • Finding a way aboard
  • Navigating interior passageways
  • Fighting normal and new ARC enemies
  • Dealing with other Raiders on board

One of the new enemy ARCs is a turret called Hydra. I guess it’s gonna be stationary and is gonna be placed at chokepoints, since the devs explicitly mark it as being able to target multiple squads at once. The exact boarding method is still unknown, as well as rewards and other possible ways of entry. I’ll expand this section once I’ve played the game enough.

ARC Raiders Pendola Pass Redirection Map Condition

While writing this article, I’ve found out that there’s gonna be another map condition. It’s a minor one, unlike Frigate, which I suppose will also be a map condition. During it, the Raiders will need to activate a Transmitter to get Harvester Payloads from the Collector, which I imagine is a tug-of-war game. The Transmitter will attract unwanted attention both from ARCs and other Raiders, so you’ll need to focus on multiple things at once. Seems like a fun, risky time, but that’s everything I know about it for now. I’ll update this section with more info with the release of the map.

New ARC Enemies on Pendola Pass

Pendola Pass introduces three new ARC enemies, and all three are designed around very different behaviors. Bully fits its name really well cause it applies constant pressure without ever stopping, while Skulker prefers to stay on the edge of fights and act like a mobile sniper. Hydra is found aboard the Frigate and works more like a multi-target defensive unit than a normal ARC.

ARC Enemy

How It Fights

Bully

Quite literally bull tactics, plus it can shoot you

Skulker

Sniper tactics with constant repositioning and trying to hit you from where you don’t see it

Hydra

Three-part weapon platform capable of targeting several Raiders at once

Hydra looks like the most dangerous one for coordinated squads because its separate weapons can pressure multiple players simultaneously. Bully and Skulker will be really scary, especially with Flash Freeze weather conditions the devs mentioned in their ViDocs. I really enjoy what they’re doing with ARCs, bringing back the sense of danger and overcoming it by finding out enemy weaknesses that ARCs gave back when the game was released.

Best Places to Loot on Pendola Pass

There isn’t enough live information yet to rank the best Pendola Pass loot locations. I don’t know the zones’ loot categories, or which POIs will regularly be worth contesting apart from Emperor once the map drops. More importantly, what makes it harder is that Pendola Pass introduces dynamic loot zones, meaning high and medium value areas can change between or even during the raids instead of staying fixed to the same locations, so it’s possible I delete this section if that’s the case.

Pendola Pass Flash Freeze Guide

Flash Freeze is a weather mechanic built specifically around Pendola Pass. Note that it’s not your typical map condition. It’s an innate weather modifier for this map, so you’ll experience it every match when you’re on Pendola. You’ll be forced to change your routes and settle for safer conditions or risk your loot and push your luck going to the more profitable loot zones. Avalanche Shelters can open as the freeze approaches and may contain extra loot, which also means they will turn into temporary PvP hotspots if you end up with another squad inside. There’s no info on how long the extreme weather period lasts or how much damage it does. If you intend on playing the map as soon as the patch drops, try to plan your route around the shelters for the first few raids.

ARC Raiders Pendola Pass Extraction Points

Since there’s no Pendola Pass map lying on the Internet, I don’t know the extraction point locations yet. The only extraction point I was able to dig some info on is the Ballistic Gondola, which is a new extraction method, and it can only fit three raiders. Not much else.  I’ll add the full extraction list once Pendola Pass is live and those locations can be properly mapped.

ARC Raiders All Key Locations on Pendola Pass

There is currently no list of Pendola Pass keys or locked rooms. In trailers, we can see plenty of interiors and old Exodus infrastructure where I’m certain we’ll find locked rooms, but no key names, corresponding doors, or key-specific loot have been revealed yet. Plus, I’m confident that, as with previous big patches, we can expect some ARG that comes with it, or at least a puzzle for the community to collectively solve, so I’ll likely write about it in this section as well. This section will be updated with the full key list once players start finding the locked rooms.

F.A.Q

What is Pendola Pass in ARC Raiders?

Pendola Pass is the new map releasing with the Frozen Trail update on October 8, 2026. It is a frozen Italian mountain settlement and former Exodus transport hub built around heavier verticality, Flash Freeze weather, new ARC enemies, and a fallen Emperor.

What are the best places to loot on Pendola Pass?

There isn’t a reliable ranking yet because Pendola Pass uses dynamic loot zones and the map is not live. High and medium value areas can change between raids, so the best loot spot will depend on the hot zones shown in your current session.

Can the fallen Emperor be looted on Pendola Pass?

A massive Emperor ARC has crashed in the valley and contains rare ARC technology. Finding a way inside it is one of the main reasons Raiders are sent to Pendola Pass. We’ll be able to navigate its insides and loot tons of fancy stuff.

What new ARC enemies are on Pendola Pass?

Pendola Pass introduces Bully, Skulker, and Hydra. Bully aggressively pushes Raiders, Skulker attacks from range and constantly repositions, while Hydra is a three-part weapon platform found aboard the Frigate.

What is Flash Freeze on Pendola Pass?

Flash Freeze is a weather event that can sweep across Pendola Pass during a raid and make exposed areas dangerous. Raiders will need to find indoor cover or Avalanche Shelters until conditions improve. It is not a map condition and will always be present on the map.
