ARC Raiders Riven Tides Map Guide Quick Summary:

  • Riven Tides is a compact, beach-themed ARC Raiders map with dense POIs, heavy verticality, and frequent player encounters.
  • Hotel Panorama Azzurro is the best money-making area, with Commercial and Residential loot, several locked rooms, and plenty of indoor fights.
  • Port Authority Building is the main PvP hotspot, packed with keycard rooms, weapon containers, and chaotic close-range combat.
  • Stacking Yard is one of the strongest loot zones, offering Industrial and Exodus loot, dangerous sightlines, patrolling ARCs, and a valuable secret room.
  • Customs House is a smaller multi-level POI with tunnel access, an extraction point, and mixed loot tied to newer Riven Tides content.
  • Riven Tides has two main secrets: the Hotel disco ball easter egg and the Stacking Yard secret room puzzle, which needs two players and several batteries.
  • Currently, there are 7 keycard rooms inside the Hotel Panorama Azzurro, 2 keycard rooms in Port Authority, and 1 keycard room in the Stacking Yard.

ARC Raiders Riven Tides Map Explained

Riven Tides is not the biggest map of all the previously released ones, but it’s for the better. You’ll spend less time running between the POIs and more time actually looting and fighting. In a way, it’s reminiscent of Spaceport, where the central part is super condensed and filled with various areas with loot. Here are some of the key features the ARC Raiders Riven Tides has:

  • Big Emphasis on Verticality: Long before the map was released, the developers were emphasizing the verticality of the map as one of the main key features.
  • Puzzles: I’m yet to discover what it does, but I’ve found two buttons on the Stacking Yard, reminiscent of the buttons that were on Buried City during the Cold Snap.
  • Beach Vibes: It’s springtime, and the summer is just right around the corner, so the beach map feels appropriate.
  • Action-Packed: Meeting other players is inevitable, as the map’s size and the layout force you to meet other raiders.
  • Unique Looting: The only map where you can use the detector to search for loot buried in the sand. Plus, it has ship models, which are the unique trinkets found only here. They are tied to the Avian Alarm project.

I love this map so far, though I managed to play only for a couple of hours. I like how this map is basically a contrast between the two sides, with the right side being a dock and the left being this fancy hotel resort. I think the big factor of its enjoyability is based on whether you like the beach maps in video games or not.

ARC Raiders Riven Tides All Map Areas Guide

There are only four colored areas in Riven Tides, but even the yellow loot zones feel much more stacked than, say, Rocket Assembly on Spaceport. It definitely feels like the developers worked on their mistakes to provide a much more concentrated gameplay experience. Even the white areas of the map, which serve as traversal points, have some sort of decent loot scattered there. I wonder if it tilts the scale once again, as it happened when Stella Montis was released, and all other maps felt redundant. Below, I’ll cover the best places to loot on ARC Raiders Riven Tides:

  • Hotel Panorama Azzurro: The biggest building in the game so far. Multiple floors with many shootout possibilities and Shredders around every corner. The loot here is predominantly Commercial and Residential, so if you need to get a quick coin, this is the best place for that. It also has some Security loot behind closed doors, but its main draw is its money-making potential.
  • Port Authority Building: This building makes me wonder how the technogenic, loud-as-a-truck port area has been built next to the resort. This building kinda reminds me of those smaller COD maps where it’s just pure chaos and violence. If the Hotel leaves some room for breathing, Port Authority is just PvP heaven. Or hell, if you’re among the players who don’t like it. Lots of rooms require keycards to open, and weapon containers are lying on platforms outside of the building.
  • Stacking Yard: The poster area of the Riven Tides map, if that makes sense. It’s very vertical, dangerous, with lots of ARCs patrolling it. My favorite area of the map. Loot lies hidden behind the corners instead of just being inside the buildings. While clearing this area, you are wide open, cause you can be seen from almost all sides of the map. This part of the map is rich with Industrial and Exodus loot, and I gotta say, Exodus loot drops here a lot.
  • Customs House: A smaller zone with multiple levels. Half of the building is above the ground, and the rest of it is underground. You can reach it through the tunnel. It also houses one of the extraction points. I didn’t loot it enough to give you anything conclusive, but I’ve found some loot that I needed for the new project, including a ship model, so perhaps it’s gonna include a little bit of everything, given the name? As soon as I have more info on this point of interest, I’ll update this part.

The rest of the points of interest can contain decent loot, but they’re there so that you don’t feel bored when going from one place to another. I highly advise trying to loot in the areas I named above. Luckily, the map is so small that you can visit all the places in one raid.

ARC Raiders Riven Tides Puzzle Solution

Riven Tides isn’t as stacked with secret rooms and puzzles as Blue Gate, but it does have a few secrets that are fun to solve. One of them rewards you with a crapton of loot, and the other just gives you a warm fuzzy feeling. Below, you’ll find all ARC Raiders Riven Tides puzzle solutions.

Disco Ball Easter Egg Solution

Go to the Hotel area and go to the ground floor. Find the room with the broken disco ball in it. I gotta warn you that this bears no value apart from being a fun way to socialize with other raiders. There are three broken switches you need to fix and then activate to solve the Disco Ball easter egg in ARC Raiders. They spawn in random locations, but you just need to search the ground floor and the floor above it. It doesn't matter which order you activate them in, but you will need special materials to do that:

  • Wires
  • Batteries
  • Power Cords
  • Voltage Converters

The materials you need vary, but you usually need 1 battery, 2 wires, 1 power cord, or 1 voltage converter to fix a switch. Let me repeat: you don't need all of these materials. Each broken switch requires only one of the four possible mats. After you activate these switches in quick succession, you'll turn on the music and the disco ball that will light up the room. One more thing - this room is filled with Ticks, so clear them out first, or they'll ruin your party.

Stacking Yard Secret Room

West of the Stacking Yard is a secret room with lots of containers inside it. It's not technically part of the location. It's a separate small building to the west of it. To complete this puzzle, you need at least two people. You have to press four buttons (the order doesn’t matter) that are scattered around the Stacking Yard. The button spawns are randomized, but they spawn in the central crane building, the western crane building, and the northwestern crane. You can see the potential spawns in the image above. Note that these directions are relative to the Stacking Yard itself. The entire area is on the eastern side of the map. Once you press the buttons, you’ll need to bring a battery to open the door:

  • The first button is inside the second floor of the building west of the Stacking Yard
  • The second button is outside the western entrance that leads to the roof of the same building.
  • The third button is on the ground, at the end of a broken railway, surrounded by containers.
  • The fourth button is on top of the crane, on the northern side of it, facing towards the seashore.

Next, you want to bring 2 Batteries (the material) to the broken elevator, which you either took with you pre-emptively or found at the location. Repair the elevator and then look for a battery that looks like the ones you need to open the door inside Blue Gate's reception underground. It should be in the area around the elevator and the building. Bring this battery to the elevator, and then one of you should hold the elevator button while the other carries the battery. You need to take it to the second floor of the building, where we started pressing the buttons. There will be a catwalk leading to the room with four lightbulbs glowing next to its doors. It should be open now that you've pressed all four buttons. Put the battery into the slot, and this will open the door to the small building west of the Yard. Congratulations, enjoy tons of loot!

ARC Raiders Riven Tides Best Loot Route

There are many ways to get rich in Riven Tides. You can pursue the locked rooms inside the Hotel Panorama Azzurro. You can fight for your life inside the Port Authority. You can also search for loot using the Dockmaster’s Detector. Riven Tides, as the saying goes, really has it all.

But it seems that you have to really prioritize during the raids to get the chance of grabbing something valuable. Due to how small the map is, it’s not hard to get to the juiciest loot zones. Then again, the map is so small that if you’re unlucky with the timings, you might as well return to Speranza immediately cause each area of the map will look like a money-hungry vacuum cleaner went through it. There’s a real fight for the materials going on here, and I’m gonna tell you how to come out a winner.

Depending on your spawn, you need to identify which area is closest to you. Best spawns are:

  1. In the middle of the map, north of Customs House
  2. West of Poolside, allowing you to reach the Hotel fast
  3. Wavebreaker spawn, allowing you to rush the Stacking Yard secret room.

Depending on your spawn, the loot route will change, but not dramatically. Adapt accordingly, and I’ll try to provide a detailed loot route. I’ll take the middle spawn as the entry point. Here’s the best ARC Raiders Riven Tides loot route:

  1. Before Five Minute Mark: If you spawned in the middle of the map, you can choose to rush the Panorama Azzurro or the Stacking Yard. I’d suggest going for the Hotel side if you have the keys and to the Stacking Yard if you don’t. I usually go for Stacking Yard even if I do have the keys anyway.
  2. Five to Fifteen Minutes: Do the Stacking Yard puzzle fast. Ideally, you want to have two people doing the puzzle and one checking the area around for threats. Avoid ARCs if possible. It usually takes me between 5 and 10 minutes to do the puzzle in a group.
  3. Fifteen to Twenty Minutes: Go to the Port Authority Building. People going there are usually kitted out, so you have a good chance of scavenging something nice. By this point, the fights should be over. Even though the fighters might’ve taken all the best gear for themselves, they don’t have endless pockets, so you can be sure you’ll find a nice thing or two.
  4. Twenty to Thirty Minutes: If you have spare time after clearing the Port Authority, you can go and loot the rest of what’s left in the Hotel or Stacking Yard, depending on where you’ve started. I wouldn’t recommend going to Stacking Yard by the end of the raid, as there’s not much stuff left there. Instead, I’d suggest going to the Seabed and doing the beachcombing. If you are risky enough, you might even consider fighting the new ARC boss, Turbine.

Beachcombing requires you to have the Dockmaster’s Detector, which is a new gadget that allows you to scan the surrounding area for random loot, and, what’s more important, buried Ship Models that you’ll need plenty of to finish the new project.

Dockmaster’s Detector Guide

The Dockmaster’s Detector is a new, uncommon quick-use item that is used to locate loot buried in the sand. It has a durability meter, so it may break if you use it too much. It also cannot be crafted, at least for now. You can repair it in Speranza, however. If you see that the Detector starts smoking, it’s time to stop using it. If you break it, you’ll need to find a new one in the Riven Tides. The area in which the Detector finds the loot is quite big, around 30-40 meters, from my testing. Though it has some limitations, using the gadget is super easy. Here’s how to use the Dockmaster’s Detector:

  • Activate the Detector
  • Wait until it starts beeping
  • The more frequently it beeps, the closer the item
  • Follow the beeps until the Detector starts emitting a loud noise
  • Look around, and you’ll find a prompt that says “Dig”

Now all you have to do is just interact with the prompt and dig out the treasure. Usually, it’s not something jaw-dropping, but it’s still worth a coin. I’ve found some nature loot, ship models, and even grenades.
