ARC Raiders Blue Gate Map Guide

Blue Gate is a very open-ended map with many opportunities for long-range firefights. It’s filled to the brim with high-end ARC enemies and has multiple secret loot locations. In this ARC Raiders Blue Gate map guide, we will cover what makes this map worth raiding.

Blue Gate is a mountainous area with little cover between the POIs. That makes it one of the most dangerous maps to traverse. The snipers may reside in many positions. If they fire at you first, you won’t even know what hit you. To add to the stress, ARCs constantly patrol the chokepoints. Even getting from one point to another can be quite challenging. To balance that out, the Blue Gate map has a lot of expensive loot and puzzles that hide blueprints and Epic items. Let’s dive deep into it and find out what this map has to offer.

If you feel Blue Gate is a little harsh, worry not! Order our ARC Raiders The Blue Gate Raid Boost. This will let you get all the fancy loot without the stress of failing to evacuate.

Blue Gate Raid Guide

Before we dive into the details, let’s take a quick overview of the map. There are multiple things that make playing on this map a unique experience. It has a couple of distinct areas with gameplay that is significantly different. Let’s cover these details in this Blue Gate raid guide:

  • Overground and Underground: The map is huge, but the main point of interest is a Gate Approach Checkpoint in its center. It’s a good place to farm blueprints and weapons. There aren’t many ARCs inside, but there’s almost always a party of hostile players there. If you’ve reached the place first, be sure to place mines and tripwires. You don’t want to be caught off guard by another player sneaking up on you.
  • Elevation Advantage: Higher ground here means everything. If you reach the Pilgrim’s Peak in the mid-game, you’ll be able to identify hot zones. It’s a great vantage point to spot the danger, or become the one yourself. Pro Tip! If you’re trying to extract from the Warehouse Airshaft, think twice. Not only is there a Rocketeer patrolling the area, but also other players are hiding in the hills.
  • Lots of Puzzles: This map has five puzzles, solving which grants very good loot. We will cover them all later. We also recommend doing the puzzles at night version of the map. The rewards will be much better this way. Speaking of which.
  • Night Raid: This map’s night version is a horror in itself. An already tough map becomes even tougher. It spawns two Rocketeers to guard the Checkpoint. The devs thought this wasn't enough and placed a Bombardier to guard one of the entrances. This is the toughest Night Raid out of all maps, so be sure to get well prepared.

These are the key features of the map. Another point that doesn’t correlate with the gameplay is the visuals. This map is just gorgeous. Beautiful vistas, contrasting with the retro-futuristic weathered look, create an indescribable feeling. It just feels right. But enough of the yapping, let’s talk about puzzles.

Blue Gate All Puzzle Solutions

One of the most important things about the Blue Gate is its puzzles. Solving them can be dangerous, but they reward you well. Well, most of the time. The thing is, during the normal map conditions, the loot can be really subpar. Instead of finding blueprints or purple guns, you can just find ammo. That’s why we advise doing the puzzles at night. With that said, let us share all puzzle solutions for Blue Gate:

  • Ancient Fort: This one is pretty simple. You should find three Fuel Cells and insert them in the power stations. This will unlock the Ancient Fort’s cellar. The power stations are located on the first, second, and third floors of the Ancient Fort. If you can’t find the power stations, go to the locked cellar and follow the black wires. See all possible Fuel Cell spawns in the screenshot below.

  • Raider’s Refuge: A hot zone indeed. People fight here all the time, so be extra careful while doing the puzzle. It’s another cellar here, and in order to open it, you’ll need to push four buttons. Buttons spawn pretty much randomly. We’ll share screenshots of the trickiest ones. The first thing you’ll have to do is run around the church, as some buttons spawn outside. Then head inside and look there. Look very carefully, as they are very well hidden. After that, you’d want to climb up the ladder to the bell tower. One of the buttons can be outside the tower.

Look down from the tower, and you’ll see the titular raider’s refuge. Here we have three possible button locations. One of them is under the floorboards, so if you don’t find any above, check below. Two other buttons can have very tricky-to-reach locations. One is on this broken pillar.

And the other is on the right part of the rooftop. If you still haven’t found all the buttons, check the nearby ruined house. Sometimes the button spawns there.

  • Baron Husks: To solve this puzzle, you’ll need 2 ARC power cells. Look around the husk to find a damaged area of its hull. You can identify it by the electrical sparks it emits. After you find it, interact with it to use the power cell. This will launch the sequence, where you’ll need to get through the flamethrowing obstacles. Get through the fire, and you’ll see another broken piece of circuitry. That’s where you’ll need to apply your second power cell. Go out of the engine and find a way to get to the second floor of it. There, you’ll need to go through the flames again, then interact with a small storage unit. Usually, it doesn’t give that good of a loot, but if you need to farm up on ARC materials, it’s a good spot. These husks are located on two sides of the map, as seen in the screenshot.

  • RGB Puzzle: These puzzles are quite easy to do. First, find a console you can interact with. It has a small screen that, after some time spent interacting with the console, will display the color. It’ll be blue, red, or yellow. Then you’ll have to look around. The walls usually have paint that shows the direction you’ll need to go. Just follow it, and you’ll eventually reach your destination. That’s where you’ll have the most success finding blueprints and good loot. Just remember to do it at night. You can find one in the Reinforced Reception, as seen in the screenshot.

Another one is deep in the tunnels of the Checkpoint.

  • Checkpoint Batteries Room: You can find batteries in the Reinforced Reception, just past the colored console puzzle. One of them can spawn under the stairs. If you look to the left of the console, you’ll see the battery box. Another spawns on the second floor, going up the stairs. To find the third battery spawn, go straight past the console into the next room, then open the room to the left. You’ll always find all batteries needed in one spawn. To unlock the door, bring the batteries to it and put them into the box. The box is located on the right of the doorway. Once you open it, make sure nobody is around. If the door gets closed, you will not be able to get out of this room.

And there we have it: all the puzzles explained at the Blue Gate. The hardest puzzle of the bunch has got to be the Raider's Refuge one. It can take a long time unless you bring your friends. In addition, the Rocketeer can spawn right on top of the Refuge, making it even harder. BLOG20

Best Places to Loot on Blue Gate

Now, what if doing puzzles feels too risky to you? Well, you can always find some good stuff without unlocking the secret rooms. Let’s take an overview of the best places to loot on Blue Gate:

  • Checkpoint: One of the two red locations with the most valuable loot on the map. Funnily enough, this place doesn’t have a lot of loot, so its red color is perplexing. Instead, it leads to the underground complex. There, you can find some decent stuff even without unlocking the keycard rooms. First, you can find a weapon case in the breachable room under the Reinforced Reception. Another two cases are hidden under the Headhouse, on the inner rim of the circle. Two more are in the vents, leading to the Warehouse Complex.
  • Village: Despite being a yellow location, it contains a variety of domestic loot. If you are looking for loot to sell, this is your go-to. It’s also one of the juiciest locations to farm during the Lush Blooms event.
  • Ruined Homestead: It's not a colored location, but you can find a lot of good stuff here and in the area around Ancient Fort.
  • Warehouse Complex: Technically, the location itself doesn’t present that much interest, but it leads to the underground complex, much like Checkpoint. Very much worth looting because of that.
  • Pilgrim’s Peak: The highest point on the whole map. Here you can see almost everything. Contains a lot of rare loot, like sensors and advanced electrical components. There are two weapon crate spawns in the eastern part of the location.

For a map this big, there are surprisingly not a lot of loot zones. Players generally tend to run towards the Reinforced Reception and loot the underground complex. If you were spawned late into the game, your best bet is to try and get to Pilgrim’s Peak.

Blue Gate Best Loot Path

Your loot run on Blue Gate will always go through the underground complex. No matter where you spawn in, that zone is going to be included in your adventure. If you want to be smarter, rush there, but don’t dive headfirst into the weapon crate spawns. Wait for the first players to enter, and let them finish their quarrels. Then run in and finish off the ones who survived. That might sound cruel, but if you want to maximize your loot output, that’s what you gotta do. If you’re not into PvP, there’s a second loot route you can take. Anyway, here’s the best loot path on the Blue Gate:

  1. Identify Your Spawn: Most spawns on the Blue Gate are on the edges of the map, but there are two in the forest. If you spawned in the forest, you’re lucky. This spawn can reach the Reinforced Reception the fastest. Make your way there ASAP.
  2. Interact with the Colors Puzzle: Once you’re in the Reinforced Reception, interact with the RGB puzzle. Once it shows you the color, remember it; we’ll return there later.
  3. Turn to the Right Door: The door on the right leads to a little hallway with the stairs on the left and to the right. If you go straight, you’ll see that there’s a room you need to breach. This room contains a weapon crate and two Security Lockers.
  4. Return to the Reception: You can now do the puzzle. Follow the painted lines according to the color you got.
  5. Open the Batteries Room: After you finish with the color puzzle, it’s time to unlock the big room. Find the batteries according to their spawns described earlier.
  6. Go to the Ancient Fort: If you have enough time to spare, go and do the puzzle there. If not, go to the extraction. Try to avoid the Warehouse Airshaft.

That’s it for the most dangerous, but profitable loot run. If you don’t want to go to the underground complex, there’s another good loot route on the Blue Gate:

  1. Start at the Village or Pilgrim’s Peak: These are the best two locations to check first. Village is much less straightforward with its loot placement. We’d suggest dedicating a couple of runs to learn where the good loot is.
  2. Go to the Forest area or Ridgeline: That’s your next move. Forest area has a weapon crate next to the Trapper’s Glade. Ridgeline is quite decent for loot for ARC parts.
  3. Ancient Fort: Reach the Ancient Fort and do the puzzle. If you are fast enough, you might be first or meet raiders trying to extract with the loot.

While doing this route, we recommend taking a Raider Hatch Key in case you find anything interesting. Extract at the hatch between the Highway Collapse and Checkpoint.

Conclusion

Despite being such a large map, the Blue Gate doesn’t have many options for looting around. As all roads lead to Rome, on Blue Gate, all roads lead to the Reinforced Reception. With this complete guide on the Blue Gate map, you now know how to solve all the puzzles and extract with the juiciest loot. More guides to come, so stay tuned!

F.A.Q

What's the best loot route on Blue Gate?

Your best choice is to rush towards the Reinforced Reception. All the best loot on the map converges here.

What are the best places to loot on Blue Gate?

Pilgrim’s Peak, Village, and Ancient Fort areas are quite good, but the best place is, of course, the underground complex near the Checkpoint.

Is Blue Gate beginner-friendly?

Not at all. It’s the hardest default map. Somehow even harder than Spaceport. Its center is a heavy PvP zone, and the outside area is constantly patrolled by the boss ARCs.

How to solve puzzles on Blue Gate?

All ARC Raiders puzzles rely on you pressing something or bringing some item to a designated point. You’ll need to press the buttons to open the cellar under the Raider’s Refuge and to do the Colors Puzzle. You’ll need to bring the fuses and batteries to the Ancient Fort, Baron Husk, and the locked room inside the Reinforced Reception.

What's the safest extraction point on Blue Gate?

It’s hard to name a truly safe extraction on the Blue Gate, but the Forest Airshaft is alright. This area is mostly filled with Raiders with free kits, so they present less of a threat.
