Scrappy Upgrades & Required Items

Players searching for ARC Raiders how to upgrade stations usually want a clear list of every required material and the exact POIs where those items can be found. So, we’ll start with Scrappy.

Scrappy is the long-time rooster resident of your workshop and your earliest passive source of materials. He brings metal parts, fabric, plastic parts, chemicals, rubber parts, and assorted seeds over time. Upgrading him increases how quickly he gathers items and how often he returns.

Scrappy Upgrade Levels

Level Requirements
1 – Fledgling None
2 – Forager 1 Dog Collar
3 – Scavenger 3 Lemons, 3 Apricots
4 – Treasure Hunter 6 Prickly Pears, 6 Olives, 1 Cat Bed
5 – Master Hoarder 12 Mushrooms, 12 Apricots, 3 Very Comfortable Pillows

The following items are required for upgrading Scrappy. Each subsection explains where to find them and the most reliable maps to search.

Dog Collar

Dam Battlegrounds

Ruby Residence, Pale Apartments, Water Towers, Formicai Outpost, Testing Annex, Research and Administration, Pattern House, Raider Outpost East. Check drawers, lockers, household storage, and general residential containers.

Buried City

Grandioso Apartments, Santa Maria Houses, Plaza Rosa, Red Tower, Town Hall, and Galleria. Many random houses also contain these collars.

Spaceport

Departure Building, Arrival Building, both Trench Towers, Control Tower, and Launch Tower. Lower chances, but still possible.

Blue Gate

Ruined Homestead, Ancient Fort, Abandoned Housing Project, Raider’s Refuge, and Village. Village offers the highest overall chance due to its size.

Lemons

Blue Gate

Found at Olive Grove on the ground. Kicking trees drops extra fruit.

Apricots

Blue Gate

Also located in Olive Grove. Ground spawns and tree kicks provide a steady supply.

Prickly Pears

Multiple maps

Spawn near any cactus clusters. Blue Gate has the most cactus areas, but Dam Battlegrounds also contains scattered patches.

Olives

Blue Gate

Olive Grove is the main farming spot. Found on the ground and dropped by kicking trees.

Mushrooms

Blue Gate

Appear in Trapper’s Glade on trees.

Dam Battlegrounds

Found around South Swamp Outpost, Old Battlegrounds, and the areas leading up to Hydroponic Dome Complex, including forested spots near Scrap Yard and Wreckage.

Spaceport

One spawn south of Little Hangar, inside a quiet cove with water and trees.

Buried City and Stella Montis

No mushroom spawns.

Cat Bed

Same locations as Dog Collar: Residential POIs on all maps listed above.

Very Comfortable Pillow

Same locations as Dog Collar and Cat Bed. Common in larger residential interiors such as Buried City apartments, Dam Battlegrounds housing, and Blue Gate Village.

Workbench

The Workbench is your most basic crafting station and the only one in the hideout that has no related ARC Raiders workshop upgrades. It is available from the start and provides access to early utility items, ammunition types, and simple equipment. Completing the Hullcracker quest also unlocks the option to craft launcher ammo.

Level Requirements Crafts
1 1 Rounds Played Looting Mk. 1, Light Shield, Ferro, Hairpin, Kettle, Stitcher, Heavy Ammo, Light Ammo, Medium Ammo, Shotgun Ammo, Shield Recharger, Bandage, Light Impact Grenade, Launcher Ammo (after quest)

The purpose of this Workbench at the start of the game is to allow you to craft everything you need to run a raid - weapons, augment, and shield, as well as healing items for your health and shields. You can even craft small impact grenades, which feel like a little extra. But don’t think this bench becomes useless in the endgame. When you’re short on money, you’ll still be using it to craft light, medium, heavy, and shotgun ammo. So this workbench never loses its importance.

Gunsmith

The Gunsmith handles weapon construction and firearm-related blueprint crafts. Upgrading this station expands the pool of weapons you can produce and improves your progression toward higher-tier gear.

Level Requirements
1 20 Metal Parts, 30 Rubber Parts
2 3 Rusted Tools, 5 Mechanical Components, 8 Wasp Driver
3 3 Rusted Gear, 5 Advanced Mechanical Components, 4 Sentinel Firing Core

The sections below list ARC Raiders crafting materials locations required for upgrading the Gunsmith.

Metal Parts

Metal Parts come from recycling almost any metal household item, tool, gadget, or damaged mechanical scrap. Many early weapons also break down into Metal Parts. You’ll pick them up naturally by looting garages, workshops, industrial rooms, and residential interiors. Scrappy brings Metal Parts often, making passive farming easy.

Rubber Parts

Rubber Parts come from recycling soft equipment like goggles, respirators, flares, stock mods, augment scraps, and damaged riot gear. Household trinkets such as deflated balls or broken electronics also give Rubber Parts. These drop frequently in residential POIs, garages, storage rooms, and utility buildings. Scrappy also gathers Rubber Parts regularly.

Rusted Tools

Rusted Tools are quite important for the ARC Raiders Gunsmith upgrade guide. It’s a blue mechanical item usually recycled into Metal Parts and Springs, but for upgrading the Gunsmith, you’ll want to keep them. They spawn inside mechanical POIs and in large industrial objects across all regions.

Dam Battlegrounds

Primary Facility, Water Treatment, and Scrap Yard. Found inside mechanical POIs and large industrial containers.

Spaceport

Fuel Control, Container Storage, Shipping Warehouse, and Vehicle Maintenance. Appears in heavy machinery storage and mechanical crates.

Buried City

Outskirts and Parking Garage. It can also appear in mechanical storage rooms around these areas.

Blue Gate

Checkpoint, the underground complex connected to it, and the Adorned Wreckage. Often found inside industrial machinery piles.

Stella Montis

Lower Sandbox area and sometimes in the Loading Bay. Also found in heavy mechanical objects in nearby industrial spaces.

Mechanical Components

Mechanical Components are a green material used for repairing and upgrading green-rarity weapons and for crafting weapon mods. The most efficient way to get them is by refining 7 Metal Parts and 3 Rubber Parts, which guarantees one component. They also drop from Surveyors, Bastions, Leapers, and Shredders, though these enemies can be hard to kill early. Like Rusted Tools, they appear inside mechanical POIs across all regions. Still, the ARC Raiders Mechanical Components farm is very much possible if you know where to look.

Dam Battlegrounds

Primary Facility, Water Treatment, and Scrap Yard. Found inside mechanical POIs and industrial storage where robotic enemies are active.

Spaceport

Fuel Control, Container Storage, Shipping Warehouse, and Vehicle Maintenance. Drops from mechanical enemies and appears in heavy machinery crates.

Buried City

Outskirts and Parking Garage. Mechanical Components can appear in technical rooms and mechanical storage inside these POIs.

Blue Gate

Checkpoint, the underground complex connected to it, and Adorned Wreckage. Found in industrial machinery piles and from robotic enemies in these zones.

Stella Montis

Lower Sandbox area and sometimes the Loading Bay. Can drop from Shredders here and appear in heavy mechanical objects.

Wasp Driver

Wasp Drivers are dropped by Wasps, the most common flying ARC found on every map except Stella Montis, where sightings are rare. Wasps are easy to kill by targeting their thrusters; destroying two of the four causes them to crash and explode. You can also find Wasp Drivers by looting Wasp Husks scattered across most maps and from ARC Probes or ARC Couriers, which both have a chance to drop them. This is one of the easiest upgrade materials to obtain.

Rusted Gear

Rusted Gear is a blue rarity industrial item that cannot be crafted in the Refiner or purchased from Celeste. It is found in ARC Raiders Industrial POI locations across all maps and also spawns very reliably inside the engine bays of buses. Any bus with a covered engine compartment can be looted, while exposed engines cannot. These buses appear on every map, making them one of the most consistent places to find Rusted Gear.

Dam Battlegrounds

Power Generation Complex, Hydroponic Dome Complex, Water Treatment, Primary Facility, and Scrap Yard. Industrial storage areas and machinery piles inside these POIs have frequent Rusted Gear spawns.

Buried City

Outskirts and the nearby warehouse structures. Industrial crates, machinery racks, and technical storage in this area can contain Rusted Gear.

Spaceport

Shipping Warehouse, Vehicle Maintenance, Container Storage, and Rocket Assembly. Rusted Gear can also appear in Fuel Storage, Maintenance Hangar, Electrical Substation, and Service Buildings, even though these are not marked as Industrial POIs.

Blue Gate

Warehouse Complex and Adorned Wreckage. Additional spawns may appear in the Traffic Tunnel and Maintenance Wing located in the underground sections.

Stella Montis

Loading Bay and Lobby Metro. Rusted Gear appears in industrial cabinets, mechanical piles, and heavy equipment storage in these POIs. This map can be one of the ARC Raiders best materials farming routes if you know where to look and are not afraid to fight other players for high-tier loot.

Advanced Mechanical Components

Advanced Mechanical Components are a key mid- to late-game material used for crafting blue and purple weapons and higher-tier weapon mods. They can be refined by combining 2 Steel Springs and 2 Mechanical Components, but players who prefer to loot them can find them in Mechanical POIs across all maps.

Dam Battlegrounds

Primary Facility, Water Treatment, and Scrap Yard. Found inside mechanical storage containers and heavy equipment racks.

Spaceport

Fuel Control, Container Storage, Shipping Warehouse, and Vehicle Maintenance. Frequently appears in industrial crates and machinery storage.

Buried City

Outskirts and the Parking Garage. It can also spawn in mechanical storage rooms and technical side areas.

Blue Gate

Checkpoint, the connected underground complex, and Adorned Wreckage. Found inside machinery piles and mechanical loot containers.

Stella Montis

Lower Sandbox area and the Loading Bay. Appears inside heavy mechanical objects and technical cabinets in these POIs.

Sentinel Firing Core

Sentinel Firing Cores drop from Sentinel Turrets, an extremely dangerous variant of standard ARC turrets. They have very limited spawn locations and will destroy you quickly if you don’t approach carefully. These cores only come from defeating Sentinels, so farming is entirely location-based. Stella Montis has no Sentinel Turret spawns.

Dam Battlegrounds

One Sentinel can spawn on either side of the Breach POI, and another sits beneath the stairs leading to the upper floors on the side of the Research and Administration Complex.

Buried City

One Sentinel Turret is inside Town Hall, another is located under the bridge near Abandoned Highway Camp, and a third sits on the south side of Santa Maria Houses.

Spaceport

A Sentinel can spawn under the North Trench Tower outside. Others appear near the main entrance to Rocket Assembly, on the eastern side of Control Tower A6, and at the northwest corner of Container Storage. Another sits by the Departure Building next to the Fuel Lines.

Blue Gate

Sentinels appear outside the round roof of the Headhouse, at the entrance to Checkpoint beneath the horizontal bars before going underground, and in the northeast corner of Pilgrim’s Peak.

Stella Montis

No Sentinel Turrets spawn on this map.

Gear Bench

The Gear Bench is used for crafting shields and utility mods that improve your survivability and movement. Upgrading it unlocks stronger shields and higher-tier augment lines. Level 1 uses very basic materials you can easily gather or simply wait for Scrappy to deliver.

Level Requirements
1 25 Plastic Parts, 30 Fabric
2 3 Power Cable, 5 Electrical Components, 5 Hornet Driver
3 3 Industrial Battery, 5 Advanced Electrical Components, 6 Bastion Cell

Plastic Parts and Fabric are very common and can be gathered from basic loot containers or passively through Scrappy. The Level 2 ARC Raiders Gear Bench upgrade demands Power Cables, which require checking Electrical, Residential, and Commercial POIs across each map.

Power Cable

Power Cables are a blue rarity material found in Electrical, Residential, and Commercial POIs. They appear inside household containers, electrical cabinets, and commercial storage rooms. Any area with wiring, appliances, or technical panels has a chance to drop them.

Dam Battlegrounds

Ruby Residence, Pale Apartments, Pattern House, Power Generation Complex, Research and Administration, Testing Annex, and the Electrical Substation. These areas contain residential rooms and technical electrical storage where Power Cables often spawn.

Buried City

Library, Space Travel, Galleria, Santa Maria Houses, Grandioso Apartments, Plaza Rosa, and Ouazza Arbusto. Power Cables appear inside residential interiors, public buildings, and commercial storage here.

Spaceport

Departure Building, Arrival Building, Fuel Control, and Control Tower A6. Additional chances come from the Electrical Substation and Security Checkpoint in the southern area.

Blue Gate

Village, Raider’s Refuge, and Ruined Homestead. Power Cables can also appear in Pilgrim’s Reach, Abandoned Housing Project, and the underground Maintenance Wing connected to the deeper complex.

Stella Montis

Western Tunnel, Eastern Tunnel, Atrium, Communications, and Business Center. These indoor zones contain electrical cabinets and commercial storage where Power Cables spawn.

Electrical Components

Electrical Components can be crafted at the Refiner using 8 Plastic Parts and 4 Rubber Parts, which is the most reliable way to obtain them. They also come from recycling certain items, but most of those are higher tier, making refining or looting the better option. In the world, Electrical Components spawn primarily in Electrical POIs, though they can occasionally appear in other technical areas.

Dam Battlegrounds

Power Generation Complex and the Electrical Substation are the most consistent sources. Electrical cabinets and wiring panels inside these POIs have a good chance of dropping Electrical Components.

Buried City

There are no dedicated Electrical POIs here, but you can still find Electrical Components randomly inside technical rooms, utility closets, or backrooms of large structures.

Spaceport

Fuel Control and the Electrical Substation in the southern part of the map are the primary Electrical POIs. Electrical Components can also appear in other industrial areas, even if they are not marked as Electrical.

Blue Gate

The underground Maintenance Wing has good chances to spawn Electrical Components. They may also appear in other POIs that contain electrical panels or technical storage.

Stella Montis

Communications, Eastern Tunnel, and Western Tunnel have multiple electrical cabinets and wiring clusters where Electrical Components can be found.

Hornet Driver

Hornet Drivers drop from Hornets, which are armored and tougher versions of Wasps. Their front thrusters are protected, they take more damage before going down, and they often attack in groups. Hornets stun by draining your shield instead of firing directly, which makes them annoying to deal with but still manageable. You can also find Hornet Drivers inside Hornet Husks on the ground, and both ARC Probes and ARC Couriers have a chance to drop them. Hornets spawn on every map except Stella Montis, and night raids greatly increase ARC presence, giving you more opportunities to encounter Hornets and collect their Drivers.

Industrial Battery

Industrial Batteries are rare mid-game materials found in Industrial POIs across all maps. Their spawn rate is low, so you may need to clear several locations to find even one. Since you only need three for the Gear Bench upgrade, asking friends for extras can save you time.

Dam Battlegrounds

Power Generation Complex, Hydroponic Dome Complex, Water Treatment, Primary Facility, and Scrap Yard. Batteries appear inside industrial cabinets and heavy machinery storage.

Buried City

Outskirts and nearby industrial warehouse structures. Look for technical storage rooms and machinery racks around this area.

Spaceport

Shipping Warehouse, Vehicle Maintenance, Container Storage, and Rocket Assembly. Batteries also appear in Fuel Storage, Maintenance Hangar, and similar industrial areas.

Blue Gate

Warehouse Complex and Adorned Wreckage. Additional chances inside underground Traffic Tunnel and the Maintenance Wing.

Stella Montis

Loading Bay and Lobby Metro. Industrial Batteries spawn inside technical cabinets and heavy mechanical objects in these POIs.

Advanced Electrical Components

Advanced Electrical Components are used for crafting tier 3 augments, Raider Hatch keys, and several other high-end items. They can be crafted at the Refiner once it’s upgraded, requiring 3 Wires and 2 Electrical Components for each unit. If you prefer finding them in the world, they spawn inside Electrical POIs across all maps and sometimes appear in technical storage rooms located near those zones.

Dam Battlegrounds

Power Generation Complex and the Electrical Substation are the main sources. Technical cabinets, wiring panels, and electrical storage clusters in these POIs can contain Advanced Electrical Components.

Buried City

There are no dedicated Electrical POIs here, but you may occasionally find these components inside utility rooms, technical side offices, and electrical closets within the city’s larger buildings.

Spaceport

Fuel Control and the Southern Electrical Substation are the primary Electrical POIs. Advanced Electrical Components may also appear in auxiliary technical rooms across the Arrival and Departure Buildings.

Blue Gate

The underground Maintenance Wing offers the highest chance for these components, with scattered spawns in technical alcoves. Some other POIs with electrical infrastructure may also contain them.

Stella Montis

Communications, Eastern Tunnel, and Western Tunnel include electrical panels and storage cabinets that can spawn Advanced Electrical Components.

Bastion Cell

Bastion Cells drop from Bastions, which are boss-level ARC enemies shaped like large mechanical spiders. They fire a mini-gun-style weapon and deal heavy damage if you fight them in the open. Aim for the yellow weak points on their joints to break armor and stagger them. Using a Hullcracker helps strip armor quickly, and bringing at least two Wolfpack Grenades makes the fight safer. One Bastion can drop anywhere from one to four cells.

Dam Battlegrounds

A Bastion can spawn by the Pipeline Tower or near the Testing Annex.

Buried City

Spawns occur at Marano Park by Town Hall or under the broken bridge between Buried Properties and Piazza Arbusto. Another Bastion may roam Main Street between Santa Maria Houses and Plaza Rosa.

Spaceport

Bastions usually spawn near Container Storage or by the West Hangar. Additional spawns appear next to the Departure Building near the Fuel Lines and Launch Towers.

Blue Gate

A Bastion traditionally guards the Checkpoint and can also be found in the underground tunnel network.

Stella Montis

Bastions always roam the Loading Bay.

Medical Lab

The Medical Lab is your station for crafting healing items, shield rechargers, and mid-tier support consumables. Level 1 requires Fabric, which is a basic material, and ARC Alloy, which is not basic but drops commonly from nearly all ARC enemies. Level 2 introduces Cracked Bioscanners, which are tied to Medical POIs. Higher levels expand your access to stronger medical supplies.

Level Requirements
1 50 Fabric, 6 ARC Alloy
2 2 Cracked Bioscanner, 5 Durable Cloth, 8 Tick Pod
3 3 Rusted Shut Medical Kit, 8 Antiseptic, 5 Surveyor Vault

ARC Raiders Medical Lab upgrade is very important, as you can’t go on using tier one bandages all the time.

Cracked Bioscanner

Cracked Bioscanners are needed for the Medical Lab’s Level 2 upgrade. They appear in Medical POIs and inside medical bags across all maps. High-tier POIs with medical rooms also have a chance to spawn them.

Dam Battlegrounds

Testing Annex is the main Medical POI. You can also find Cracked Bioscanners in medical bags or medical rooms inside Water Treatment and Research and Administration, as both have sections with medical equipment.

Buried City

Cracked Bioscanners spawn in the Research building next to Space Travel, and in both Pharmacias, one located in Piazza Arbusto and the other in Plaza Rosa.

Spaceport

The Departure Building contains several medical rooms with good chances to spawn Cracked Bioscanners. The Arrival Building may also have them, depending on which medical rooms spawn during the instance.

Blue Gate

There are no dedicated Medical POIs here, but Cracked Bioscanners can appear inside the underground Reinforced Reception. There is also a Pharmacia located in the Village where they can sometimes be found.

Stella Montis

Stella Montis contains a large Medical Research POI, which has the highest overall chance on this map to spawn Cracked Bioscanners. Medical bags and equipment rooms inside this area frequently contain them.

Durable Cloth

Durable Cloth is used to craft tier 2 and tier 3 medical items, such as Herbal Bandages and Sterilized Bandages. It is very easy to obtain by refining 10 Fabric at the Refiner. If you prefer looting instead, Durable Cloth appears in Medical POIs and in medical bags across all maps.

Dam Battlegrounds

Testing Annex is the primary Medical POI. Durable Cloth can also appear in medical rooms inside Water Treatment and Research & Administration.

Buried City

Found in the Research building near Space Travel and inside the two Pharmacias located in Piazza Arbusto and Plaza Rosa.

Spaceport

Medical rooms inside the Departure Building have consistent chances. The Arrival Building may also contain Durable Cloth depending on room spawns.

Blue Gate

Durable Cloth can appear inside the underground Reinforced Reception and inside the Pharmacia located in the Village.

Stella Montis

The Medical Research POI has the highest chance on this map. Durable Cloth appears in medical bags and storage rooms throughout the facility.

Tick Pod

Tick Pods drop from Ticks, small spider-like ARC creatures that leap onto your face and deal a small amount of damage over time until you shake them off. They scatter quickly and hide on walls and ceilings inside most major POIs. Since Ticks appear in many interior areas across all maps, their pods are very easy to farm during regular looting runs.

Rusted Shut Medical Kit & Antiseptic

Rusted Shut Medical Kits and Antiseptics are rare medical items needed for the Level 3 upgrade of the Medical Lab. They are harder to find than most healing materials and only appear inside Medical POIs or rooms that contain advanced medical equipment. Since the spawn rate is low, you may need to search several medical locations before finding enough.

Dam Battlegrounds

Testing Annex is the primary Medical POI and the most reliable place to find Rusted Shut Medical Kits. Medical rooms inside the Water Treatment and Research & Administration may also contain them.

Buried City

Check the Research building near Space Travel and both Pharmacies, one in Piazza Arbusto and the other in Plaza Rosa. These Pharmacies are especially good spots for Rusted Shut Medical Kits.

Spaceport

Medical rooms inside the Departure Building and possibly the Arrival Building can contain Rusted Shut Medical Kits. Some technical storage areas with medical equipment may also have them.

Blue Gate

Rusted Shut Medical Kits can appear inside the underground Reinforced Reception and occasionally inside the Pharmacia located in the Village.

Stella Montis

The Medical Research POI is the best place to find Rusted Shut Medical Kits on this map. They appear in medical bags, equipment rooms, and storage cabinets throughout the facility.

Surveyor Vault

Surveyor Vaults drop from Surveyors, the only ARC enemy that does not deal damage and immediately runs away when spotted. They spawn randomly on every map except Stella Montis. Surveyors are very easy to kill with utility grenades: Showstopper Grenades stun ARC units for ten seconds, making them perfect for catching Surveyors, and Snap Blast Grenades that stick to enemies also work well. Heavy options like Wolfpack Grenades or the Hullcracker are unnecessary overkill for this enemy.

Crude Explosives

Crude Explosives are a fairly common explosive material and are easy to gather by recycling items such as Seeker Grenades, Shrapnel Grenades, Trailblazers, Fireball Burners, Laboratory Reagents, Pop Triggers, and Explosive Compound. They can also be looted directly from Industrial and Security POIs across all maps. If you really want to farm these, go to Stella Montis; some POIs there have lots of ARC balls that drop these.

Dam Battlegrounds

Industrial POIs: Power Generation Complex, Hydroponic Dome Complex, Water Treatment, Primary Facility, Scrap Yard.

Security POIs: Hydroponic Dome Complex (already listed as Industrial), Control Tower.

Buried City

Industrial POIs: Outskirts and the nearby warehouse structures.

Security POIs: Reinforced Reception.

Stella Montis

Industrial POIs: Loading Bay, Lobby Metro.

Security POIs: Security Bridge.

Pop Trigger

Pop Triggers drop from Pops, the most common ground-based ARC enemy in the game. Pops spawn in many interior spaces, hallways, and structures that do not need to be marked as POIs, making them very easy to encounter during normal looting routes. When they spot you, they immediately rush forward and explode on contact, but they are extremely easy to kill before they reach you. Pops can also drop Crude Explosives, giving you two useful materials at once.

Explosive Compound

Explosive Compound is used to craft several tier 2 grenades and is also required for making Launcher Ammo for the Hullcracker and the Wolfpack grenade. It is commonly found in Industrial and Security POIs across all maps. Clearing these locations consistently is the most reliable way to gather it.

Dam Battlegrounds

Industrial POIs: Power Generation Complex, Hydroponic Dome Complex, Water Treatment, Primary Facility, Scrap Yard
Security POIs: Control Tower

Buried City

Industrial POIs: Outskirts and the nearby warehouse structures
Security POIs: None

Spaceport

Industrial POIs: Shipping Warehouse, Vehicle Maintenance, Container Storage, Rocket Assembly, Fuel Storage, Maintenance Hangar, Electrical Substation, Service Buildings
Security POIs: None

Blue Gate

Industrial POIs: Warehouse Complex, Adorned Wreckage, Traffic Tunnel, Maintenance Wing
Security POIs: Reinforced Reception

Stella Montis

Industrial POIs: Loading Bay, Lobby Metro
Security POIs: Security Bridge

Rocketeer Driver

Rocketeer Drivers drop from Rocketeers, a boss-level ARC enemy similar in difficulty to Bastions. Rocketeers are heavily armored flying units that fire rapid barrages of rockets, and each rocket can one-shot you. Fighting them in the open is extremely dangerous. Bringing a Wolfpack Grenade or Hullcracker is strongly recommended to strip armor, stagger the unit, and finish it safely. Below are all confirmed Rocketeer ARC Raiders boss spawn locations.

Dam Battlegrounds

By the Power Generation Complex extraction zone, around the Hydroponic Dome Complex, near Water Treatment in the forest, and by the Testing Annex.

Buried City

Near Marano Station, between the Parking Garage, Hospital, and Galleria, between Grandioso Apartments and Abandoned Highway Camp, by the Red Tower, and by Piazza Arbusto.

Spaceport

Between the Launch Towers and the Arrival Building, one inside the Launch Towers, two spawns around Control Tower A6 (one of which sits between Vehicle Maintenance and Container Storage), one more between Fuel Control and Rocket Assembly, and another between the South and North Trench Towers.

Blue Gate

At the Checkpoint, inside Trapper’s Glade, and one located between the Checkpoint and Trapper’s Glade.

Stella Montis

No Rocketeer spawns were provided for this map.

Utility Station

The Utility Station lets you craft general-purpose tools and tactical gadgets such as barricades, flares, cloaks, and utility grenades. Unlocking Level 1 requires only Plastic Parts, which are basic materials, and ARC Alloy, which drops from defeated ARC enemies. Higher levels introduce technological components that must be gathered from specific POI types.

Level Requirements
1 50 Plastic Parts, 6 ARC Alloy
2 2 Damaged Heat Sink, 5 Electrical Components, 6 Snitch Scanner
3 3 Fried Motherboard, 5 Advanced Electrical Components, 4 Leaper Pulse Unit

Some items for the ARC Raiders Utility Station upgrade are going to be pretty hard to find. Find the complete list of locations below.

Damaged Heat Sink & Fried Motherboard

Both Damaged Heat Sinks and Fried Motherboard are used for the Utility Station’s Level 2 upgrade and are found inside Technological POIs across all maps. These POIs contain computer systems, server rooms, control panels, and other advanced electronics. Clearing these areas is the most reliable way to gather Heat Sinks.

Dam Battlegrounds

Control Tower is the Technological POI on this map.

Buried City

Space Travel is the Technological POI and can contain Damaged Heat Sinks.

Spaceport

Control Tower A6, Arrival Building, South Trench Tower, North Trench Tower, Launch Towers, and the Departure Building all serve as Technological POIs and can contain Heat Sinks.

Blue Gate

Reinforced Reception and Ancient Fort are valid Technological POIs for finding Damaged Heat Sinks.

Stella Montis

Assembly, Assembly Workshops, Communications, Lobby, Medical Research, Lobby Metro, and Seed Vault are all Technological POIs with good chances to spawn Damaged Heat Sinks.

Advanced Electrical Components

Advanced Electrical Components are used to craft tier 3 augments and the Raider Hatch Key. They appear inside Electrical POIs across most maps, and they can also be crafted at Refiner Level 2 using 3 Wires and 2 Electrical Components. Clearing rooms with electrical panels, wiring clusters, and technical storage is the most reliable way to find them.

Dam Battlegrounds

Power Generation Complex and the Electrical Substation contain electrical panels and equipment storage where Advanced Electrical Components can spawn.

Buried City

There are no dedicated Electrical POIs here, but they can still occasionally appear in technical rooms, utility closets, or electrical side-rooms inside large structures.

Spaceport

Fuel Control and the Southern Electrical Substation are the main Electrical POIs. Advanced Electrical Components may also appear in auxiliary technical rooms inside the Arrival and Departure Buildings.

Blue Gate

The underground Maintenance Wing contains multiple electrical cabinets and is the best Electrical POI on this map. Other POIs with wiring clusters may also spawn Advanced Electrical Components.

Stella Montis

Communications, Eastern Tunnel, and Western Tunnel contain electrical panels and storage cabinets that can spawn Advanced Electrical Components.

Leaper Pulse Unit

Leaper Pulse Units drop from Leapers, the large jump-spider ARC enemies. Leapers leap from extreme distances and can close gaps instantly, so never fight them in the open. Avoid staying close because they also perform an AOE slam. Bring Wolfpack Grenades or a Hullcracker to break armor quickly. Blaze Grenades and Snap Blast Grenades are also extremely effective. A single Leaper can drop several Pulse Units. Below are all confirmed spawn points.

Dam Battlegrounds

By the Water Treatment extraction point, by the Breach, next to the Testing Annex exit, and inside the Red Lakes area.

Buried City

Marano Park, Buried Properties, and the area around the Abandoned Highway Camp.

Spaceport

One Leaper roams between the Arrival Building and the Launch Towers, and another between the Launch Towers and Control Tower A6 near the extraction point.

Blue Gate

Near the Adorned Wreckage, one just outside Trapper’s Glade, two spawns close to the Gate Control Room, one outside the Reinforced Reception, and one near Ruined Homestead.

Refiner

The Refiner is one of the most important stations in the hideout, letting you convert basic materials into advanced components required for weapons, gear, explosives, and high-tier upgrades. Higher Refiner levels unlock access to rare crafting materials that otherwise would be extremely difficult to find. Upgrading the Refiner should be a priority once your early stations are established.

Level Requirements
1 60 Metal Parts, 5 ARC Powercell
2 3 Toaster, 5 ARC Motion Core, 8 Fireball Burner
3 3 Motor, 10 ARC Circuitry, 6 Bombardier Cell

The following sections explain how to find each upgrade material for the Refiner. ARC Raiders Refiner upgrade materials are kind of hard to come by, but since it lets you craft most other important items without having to rely on finding them in raids, I’d say it’s the most important station of all.

Toaster

Toasters are needed for the Level 2 Refiner upgrade and are most commonly found inside Residential POIs across all maps. They appear in drawers, cabinets, shelves, and general household storage. Any lootable container with kitchen or home items can spawn a Toaster.

Dam Battlegrounds

Ruby Residence, Pale Apartments, Water Towers, Formicai Outpost, Testing Annex, Research and Administration, Pattern House, and Raider Outpost East. Found inside drawers, lockers, and household containers.

Buried City

Grandioso Apartments, Santa Maria Houses, Plaza Rosa, Red Tower, Town Hall, and Galleria. Many unmarked houses around the map can also contain Toasters.

Spaceport

Departure Building, Arrival Building, both Trench Towers, Control Tower, and Launch Tower. Residential-style storage rooms inside these structures can contain Toasters, though the spawn rate is lower.

Blue Gate

Ruined Homestead, Ancient Fort, Abandoned Housing Project, Raider’s Refuge, and Village. Village has the highest overall chance due to its size and number of interiors.

Stella Montis

No specific Residential POIs were listed, but any room containing household storage may spawn a Toaster.

ARC Motion Core

ARC Motion Cores are needed for the Level 2 Refiner upgrade. They can be found inside ARC POIs and are also dropped by several ARC enemy types, including Surveyors, Bastions, Bombardiers, and the Queen. Farming them reliably requires checking active ARC zones or engaging these enemies when you encounter them.

Dam Battlegrounds

Old Battlegrounds is the ARC POI for this map and can contain ARC Motion Cores.

Buried City

There are no ARC POIs on this map, but Motion Cores may still drop from Surveyors, Bastions, Bombardiers, or the Queen when encountered.

Spaceport

Rocket Assembly is the primary ARC POI and can spawn ARC Motion Cores.

Blue Gate

Barren Clearing is the ARC POI here and contains ARC Motion Cores.

Stella Montis

There are no ARC POIs in this region. Motion Cores can only be obtained from ARC enemy drops.

Fireball Burner

Fireball Burners drop from Fireballs, which are slightly more armored versions of Pops. Instead of rushing in and exploding, Fireballs open up when close and attack with a flamethrower. They spawn in the same places Pops do, appearing inside many buildings, hallways, and interior structures that do not need to be marked as POIs. Since Fireballs are very common during indoor encounters, Fireball Burners are easy to farm while clearing any major interior area.

Motor

Motors are rare mechanical components needed for the Level 3 Refiner upgrade. They have low spawn rates and are comparable in rarity to items like Industrial Batteries. Motors can be found inside Mechanical POIs across all maps, appearing in heavy machinery piles, mechanical cabinets, and industrial storage.

Dam Battlegrounds

Primary Facility, Water Treatment, and Scrap Yard. Motors appear inside mechanical storage containers and large industrial machinery.

Spaceport

Fuel Control, Container Storage, Shipping Warehouse, and Vehicle Maintenance. They appear inside mechanical crates and heavy equipment storage.

Buried City

Outskirts and the Parking Garage. Motors can also appear in mechanical storage rooms inside these POIs.

Blue Gate

Checkpoint, the underground complex connected to it, and Adorned Wreckage. Motors often spawn inside machinery piles and technical storage.

Stella Montis

Lower Sandbox area and sometimes the Loading Bay. They may also spawn inside heavy mechanical objects across nearby industrial spaces.

ARC Circuitry

ARC Circuitry is a rare crafting material used to make and repair tier 2 and tier 3 shields. It can be crafted at Refiner Level 2 using ARC Alloy, making refining the most reliable method. If you prefer to loot it directly, ARC Circuitry can be found inside ARC POIs on maps that include these locations.

Dam Battlegrounds

Old Battlegrounds is the ARC POI where ARC Circuitry can appear.

Buried City

This map has no ARC POIs, so ARC Circuitry must be obtained through crafting or enemy drops.

Spaceport

Rocket Assembly is the ARC POI and can contain ARC Circuitry.

Blue Gate

Barren Clearing is the ARC POI on this map and can spawn ARC Circuitry.

Stella Montis

There are no ARC POIs here, so ARC Circuitry must be crafted or obtained from enemies.

Bombardier Cell

Bombardier Cells drop from Bombardiers, another boss-tier ARC enemy similar to Bastions in durability and danger. Unlike Bastions, Bombardiers operate as walking artillery platforms. They fire long-range explosive shots and use two small flying drones for additional target acquisition. The strategy for killing them is the same as with Bastions: break armor with a Hullcracker or Wolfpack Grenades, fight from cover, and avoid open ground. Below are all confirmed Bombardier spawn locations.

Dam Battlegrounds

A Bombardier can spawn at the Primary Facility.

Buried City

Spawns appear near the Library and Marano Park, one south of Santa Maria Houses on the main street, and one on the top level of the Parking Garage.

Spaceport

A Bombardier can spawn by the Departure Building, slightly southwest of it.

Blue Gate

A Bombardier traditionally guards the Checkpoint. Additional spawns can be found roaming the forest near Trapper’s Glade by Raider’s Refuge, another next to Ruined Homestead, and another near the Gate Control Room on the surface.

Stella Montis

There are no Bombardier spawns on this map.

Conclusion

Unlocking every crafting station and getting them to level 1 shouldn’t be much of a problem once you know where to look for things. Then, Tier 2 upgrades will have you in some high-traffic areas, but you’ll likely end up there anyway for quests and just better loot. Then, for level 3, you’re going to have to confront ARC bosses. Thankfully, you’re not required to fight the Queen or Matriarch on your own. But killing Bastion or a Rocketeer or a Bombardier can be difficult until you figure out how to do it. With this guide, you have not only the complete list of items required, just like any other wiki page, but you also have a list of locations to check for those items per map, so that should be a bit easier for you.

F.A.Q.

How do you upgrade workshop stations in ARC Raiders?

Each station has three levels, and every upgrade needs specific materials. Collect items from POIs, enemy drops, or the Refiner. Use the station panel to apply the upgrade once you have all required materials.

Where can I find rare materials for Level 3 upgrades?

Level 3 upgrades require boss-tier drops and advanced components. Hunt Bastions, Rocketeers, Bombardiers, Leapers, or Sentinels based on the material you need. Check their fixed spawn points listed in the guide.

What is the fastest way to farm crafting materials?

Run targeted POI routes instead of random looting. Focus on:

  • Mechanical POIs
  • Industrial POIs
  • Electrical POIs
  • Technological POIs

You can also speed up farming using the Refiner and Scrappy.

How do I get Mechanical and Electrical Components quickly?

Mechanical Components come from refining Metal Parts and Rubber Parts. Electrical Components are crafted using Plastic Parts and Rubber Parts. Both also drop frequently in their matching POI types.

Which ARC bosses drop upgrade materials?

Different bosses drop different Level 3 materials.

  • Bastion → Bastion Cell
  • Rocketeer → Rocketeer Driver
  • Bombardier → Bombardier Cell
  • Sentinel → Sentinel Firing Core

These bosses have fixed map spawns listed earlier in the guide.
