ARC Raiders Trials Ranks

Let’s talk about the ranking system in ARC Raiders. You start from Rookie I and then climb the ranks by completing the weekly challenges. In each rank, you're placed in a leaderboard of 100 people. Here are all the ARC Raiders Trials ranks:

  1. Rookie I-III
  2. Tryhard I-III
  3. Wildcard I-III
  4. Daredevil I-III
  5. Hotshot
  6. Cantina Legend (Top 100 players)

Climbing to the highest rank takes serious time and effort. Mind you, completing the challenges doesn’t stop you from gaining score. You can continue racking up points to climb to the number 1 spot. There are numerous benefits to doing that. Let’s discuss them in the following section.

How to Access Trials in ARC Raiders

Let me explain how to access Trials in ARC Raiders. The only prerequisite is to reach the 15th level. To speed it up, do the daily tasks, stay in the raid for as long as possible, and damage ARCs. The highest XP gain can be achieved by looting the boss’s remains and looting the dead raiders. Another XP income is looting everything you see, as you get +200 XP for searching any object. Getting the first 15 levels is quite fast, so if you are new, try to speedrun it.

ARC Raiders Trials Explained and Rewards

So, let’s have ARC Raiders’ Trials explained. There is a total of 14 ranks. In order to grow to the next rank, you have to get to the top 60 of your current rank. There's a catch to that! If you climb to the top 30 of your rank, you'll get 2X Promotion. That means if you're Rookie I, you'll jump straight to Rookie III. If you don't hit the top 60, don't worry, you're not going to get demoted. You'll just be left on the same rank you started on. However, if you are on a higher rank than Rookie, you will get demoted to a lower rank.

To gain ranks, you have to reach 4000 points on a card, thus getting a 3-star rating. One cool thing is that if you do the Trials in a party, all players earn the score. If you can do the Trials in a group of 3, you'll be able to do them much, much faster. This is especially useful for Trials that include boss ARCs damage. ARC Raiders Trials rewards you with Uncommon, Rare, and Epic quality loot. There are unique rewards, like skins, items, blueprints, and more. In order to access the highest tier of rewards, you'll have to max out this week’s Trials. There is important advice we can give you. Do the trials on major map modifiers, such as Night Raid, EM Storm, etc. Doing the Trials on such maps doubles the points gained. If you don't do the Trials on modified maps, you will not climb to the top of the rank before the season ends.

ARC Raiders This Week Trials

The Trials we got this week are pretty easy. Here’s a list of this week’s Trials in ARC Raiders:

  • Loot ARC Enemies
  • Damage ARC Enemies using Light Impact Grenades
  • Search Supply Drops
  • Riven Tides: Open Containers inside the Hotel
  • Damage Turbines

According to the developers, the Trials are being reworked to make solo players have less of a disadvantage compared to party players. Seems like they've already started implementing these changes, as we can see that this week's Trials aren't very complicated for solo enjoyers.

Loot ARC Enemies

One of the easiest new Trials to complete. There's no information currently on whether looting bigger ARCs brings more Trials points. This trial can be completed on any map, but there are a few maps I recommend over the others:

  • Riven Tides: The new map has a huge number of ARCs of different varieties, and it seems they respawn quite often.
  • Blue Gate: Lots of flying ARCs that you can lure into a higher ground somewhere around the Pilgrim's Peak and shoot them down.
  • Buried City: Ticks, Pops, Fireballs, and Comets populate the inside areas of this map in large quantities.

Note that you don't have to get any loot from the ARC in order to get points for this Trial. It's enough to interact with them. Even if you find a destroyed ARC that some other player dealt with, search it.

Damage ARC Enemies Using Light Impact Grenades

While Light Impact Grenades only deal 30 damage upon explosion, they're very easy to craft, and they destroy ARCs very quickly. They are also surprisingly efficient when dealing with Raiders and ground major ARCs like Leapers and Bastions. My recommendation to finish this Trial fast is to take around 20 grenades and go to the Buried City. I did this Trial fairly quickly by throwing the Light Impact Grenades at the Bastion walking between the Parking Garage and the Galleria. If you don't want to play riskily, you can go inside any building and throw these nades at smaller ARCs, such as Pops and Fireballs. I don't advise throwing them at Ticks as they usually get close to you fast, and it's easy to miss them, not to mention you can damage yourself with explosions.

Search Supply Drops

You can call in supply drops using supply stations. The supply station looks like a tall antenna with a blinking light on top. You can also recognize it by a radio chatter when you walk close to it. Be careful interacting with them, as your raider will shoot a bright flare into the sky after the interaction. Every raider around you will understand that you called in a supply and might take a chance to shoot you. After you call in the supply drop, wait about 20 seconds, and you'll see it drop from a parachute. It doesn't drop to the exact location you called it in, but in the general area. Sometimes it can drop to an unreachable position. Searching one supply drop gives you 800 points, so to get 3 stars for the Trial, you need to open five drops in one run. It's very unfortunate that you Major map conditions do not double your Trial points anymore, so you have to look around the map. My favorite map to do this Trial quickly is Blue Gate, but if you don't know where to go, it can get frustrating. Use the interactive map to find your way to the drops.

Open Containers Inside the Hotel

This Trial can only be completed on the new Riven Tides map. The hotel mentioned in the Trial is the Hotel Panorama Azzurro, a red area filled with lots of Commercial and Residential loot. Just like with other "Loot X" Trials, you don't actually have to take anything with you, so you can do it fast by dropping in with a free loadout and opening any sort of containers. Here's what counts as a container:

  • Cabinets
  • Drawers
  • Lockers
  • Metal Crates
  • ARC Husks

Basically, anything that can be opened counts as a container. This Trial is one of the easiest to do to farm Rank Points, as you don't even have to focus on it and can reach 3 stars without any extra movement. You can do it solo, but it's still faster to do it in a squad, plus the hotel is a hot zone, so it can be risky.

Damage Turbines

Though it doesn't say that in Trials, this can only be done on Riven Tides, at least so far. Turbines are large cone-like flying ARCs. They are very dangerous if you attack them face front. You can find a detailed guide on how to deal with Turbines by this link, and here I'll provide a short explanation of what you want to do:

  • Find Cover: It's impossible to deal with Turbines in the open area close to them and not die. They launch self-homing missiles that can kill you in two hits.
  • Take Jupiter, Hullcracker, Equalizer, or Bettina: This ARC is very well reinforced. You won't break through its armor with weaker armor penetration weapons. Jupiter is by far the best weapon to deal with Turbine.
  • Damage Yellow Canisters: The Turbine's weak point is its underbelly. The canisters are covered by a weaker armor than the one he hides behind when flying, so try to attack it while it's landed and then wait for it to drop aggro.

There's an alternative cheese that you can use to destroy Turbine safely. It involves Jupiter and a vantage point from where you can see the Turbine clearly. I know I said it's foolish to fight Turbine in the open area, but Jupiter is able to deal damage to it without triggering it from afar. Since Jupiter's damage doesn't drop off with distance, you can attack its core directly as Jupiter also ignores ARC armor.
