How to Enable Crossplay in Forza Horizon 6

Crossplay is far more straightforward in this series’ entry than in previous editions. It is enabled by default, which means that you don’t have to do anything, but if you have it off for some reason, here’s how to enable crossplay in Forza Horizon 6:

1. Open the Menu and navigate to Settings in the Campaign section
2. Find the HUD & Gameplay tab in the Settings
3. Select Online Crossplay and change it to Enabled

Crossplay is seamless here, which means once you turn it on, you’ll start seeing people from all platforms immediately, without the need to load into a separate lobby. Now you can play with your friends from PC, Xbox, or PS5. But wait, how do you actually do that?

How to Create a Convoy in Forza Horizon 6

Convoy is how Forza calls a game party. It fits up to 12 players who can participate in events and races together. Most activities are available for co-op play. Check out how to create a convoy in Forza Horizon 6:

1. To invite a player, you need to have them in your friend list
2. Open the pause menu and go to the Online section. Navigate to Convoy.
3. From the Convoy submenu, press Invite Player to Convoy. If you are on PC and Xbox, it will automatically open your MSA friend list. Select the friends you want to invite.

Your friends will receive a notification telling them that you have invited them to your Convoy. Once they accept the invitation, you’ll be connected in a short time and be able to play together almost instantaneously. There are no loads or anything. If your friend has been driving around the map, they’ll load into your server. Now you can play various modes together.

What You Can Do in Forza Horizon 6 Multiplayer

Forza has a plethora of game modes available for multiplayer. They are available through Horizon Play, which is your main hub for playing together. While Forza is a racing game, it’s never been only about racing, and this stands true here more than ever. Here’s what you can do in Forza Horizon 6 multiplayer:

• Play Campaign Together: Start as nobodies and grow to become the Festival legends together. You can play through all campaign with your friend, apart from some Wristband events. The progress carries over, so your friends will not be wasting their time just to find out that they didn’t do anything in their world.
• Spec Racing: It’s a new mode where you all compete against each other in the same stock version of a car. The best way to demonstrate your driving skills to your friends and then be told to go and touch grass.
• Touge: A classic of Japanese racing culture. A 1v1 or 2v2 race in the mountains with serpentine roads and the risk of falling off a hill.
• Eliminator: Horizon’s take on Battle Royale, where you drive to reach the circle in time.
• Hide & Seek: One player hides, the other five seek him around a portion of the map. Limited to 6 players only.
• Drag Racing, Drifting, and Time Attack: Just like in FH5, once the leader enters a certain zone, you’re tasked to beat the score to get 3 stars, but with friends, it’s a competition of who’s a better driver.

It’s important to mention that you’re not limited to Horizon Play’s stuff and can find other activities in the open world. Do note that only the host can start and activate events. But not racing alone is what makes Forza Horizon 6 multiplayer so good. There are other things you can do together, such as:

• Horizon CoLab: Ever wanted to build your own racing track? You can do it now with your friends. It’s a sandbox mode where you can create together and then test what you have created. All 12 Convoy drivers can participate in it.
• Estate: Possibly one of the coolest features there is. Buy and modify your personal estate for you and your friends to hang out in. Display your best cars in your shared garage and upgrade the estate for more features.
• Car Meets: Just like in real life, you can organize a club based on certain car manufacturers or your common love for drifting. Meet together and talk or play. Meets are actually interactive, so there’s no need to be a part of the Convoy to jump in.

It feels like Forza Horizon 6 is even more multiplayer-oriented than previous games of the franchise, and to reward it, there’s a new LINK System. It rewards playing together. You earn points and bonus XP if the game recognizes that you’re performing LINK Skills. Drifting side to side, jumping from the ramps, near misses, all trigger it.
