Welcome to The Division 2 Brooklyn Secret Hunter masks guide, agents. If you’ve made it to the streets of Brooklyn in the new DLC, you already know things are heating up—and not just because of the Cleaners. Hidden throughout the new zones of Dumbo and Brooklyn Heights are eight elusive Hunters, each guarding a secret cosmetic mask and one of the ash keys required to unlock a special reward. Unlike standard missions, these Hunters don’t appear on your map, nor are their requirements explained in-game. Solving these puzzles takes observation, timing, and sometimes a bit of help from the community.
This guide walks you through everything you need to find and defeat all eight Hunters in Brooklyn. Each section is dedicated to a specific mask and provides a step-by-step explanation of how to trigger the Hunter, where they spawn, and how to claim your reward.
Let’s get started with a breakdown of how these masks work—and what you’re up against.
If you’d rather skip the grind and get straight to the rewards, you can buy Division 2 Brooklyn Hunters and have all eight masks unlocked quickly, safely, and hassle-free by a professional team.

Division 2 Hunter Masks Explained
Division 2 Brooklyn Hunter masks are rare, collectible cosmetics earned by defeating special enemies called Hunters—some of the most challenging foes in The Division 2. These enemies don’t appear through normal gameplay. Instead, they must be summoned by solving environmental puzzles, uncovering hidden clues, and completing specific actions in the open world.
Unlike regular enemies, Hunters use advanced tactics like cloaking, healing, and skill disruption. They’re unpredictable, lethal, and often require players to be fully prepared—both in gear and in execution.
Each of the eight Hunters introduced in the Battle for Brooklyn DLC drops a unique mask upon defeat, along with an Ash Key. Collecting all eight Ash Keys allows you to unlock a special reward: the Huntsman Assault Rifle, found inside a cache at the Brooklyn Settlement. This weapon features the exclusive Perfect Frenzy talent and can only be obtained this way.
Here are the Division 2 all Brooklyn Hunter masks waiting to be claimed in Brooklyn:
- Craver
- Lumen
- Merry
- Redtail
- Cipher
- Tracker
- Conqueror
- Necronos
In the sections that follow, you’ll find exact instructions on how to get Hunter Masks in Division 2 by triggering each encounter, where to find the Hunters, and what to expect in battle.
How to Find the Craver Hunter Mask
The Craver Hunter is located in Brooklyn Heights, one of the two Division 2 secret Hunter locations. But before he appears, you need to collect four fuel canisters scattered around the zone. There’s no time-of-day requirement, so this puzzle can be completed whenever you're ready.
Here’s where to find each canister, in order:
- Triangle Park – Near the Fulton Ferry control point, head into the small triangle-shaped park. The canister is under a tent.
- Middagh Street Courtyard – Go to the courtyard off Middagh St. Look for the canister near a central pole.
- Mural Courtyard – Travel to the area between Middagh, Hicks, and Cranberry Streets. You’ll find this canister below a large mural on the wall.
- Hicks & Pineapple Streets – The final canister is in a courtyard near this intersection, tucked into a corner beside some stacked barrels.
Once you’ve collected all four, head to the Brooklyn Heights waterfront, just west of the Fulton Ferry control point. Look for a grounded boat near the waterline—if the puzzle was done correctly, the canisters will appear on the deck. Interact with them to summon the Hunter. BLOG20
Defeating the Craver Hunter rewards you with the Craver Mask and one ash key, one of eight needed to unlock the Huntsman Assault Rifle later on.
How to Find the Lumen Hunter Mask
The Lumen Hunter can only be summoned at night. To avoid wasting time, make sure it’s after 21:00 (9 PM) in-game—you can check the time by opening your map and looking in the upper-right corner.
Once night has fallen, head to an alley near the base of the Brooklyn Bridge, right on the border of Brooklyn Heights. Look for a garage door. If it’s the correct time, you’ll be able to open it. Inside, you’ll find a switch—interacting with it will activate a hidden blacklight trail and reveal a glowing Hunter symbol on the wall.
From here, the Lumen mask Division 2 puzzle becomes a chase. You’ll need to follow a series of blacklight arrows and Hunter symbols that lead across a large stretch of the Brooklyn map. There are over a dozen trail markers, and each one is visible from the last if you keep your eyes open. They’ll guide you in one continuous path.
- Start at the alley beneath the Brooklyn Bridge.
- Activate the switch inside the garage once it’s after 21:00.
- Follow the UV trail across Brooklyn—it’s a one-way route with no branching paths.
- Eventually, you’ll arrive in Dumbo at a rooftop marked with a final Hunter symbol. Climb up.
As soon as you reach the rooftop, the Hunter will spawn. Take him down to earn the Lumen Mask and one ash key. The mask itself is striking—brightly colored with a blacklight-inspired glow, making it one of the most distinctive in the entire set.
How to Find the Merry Hunter Mask
To summon the Merry Hunter, you’ll need to track down and collect seven parts of a wooden horse scattered throughout Brooklyn Heights and Dumbo. There’s no time-of-day requirement for this one, so you can complete it at your own pace. Once all seven pieces are collected, they’ll assemble automatically and trigger the Hunter encounter.
Here’s where to find each part, in order:
- Leg #1 – At the intersection of Pineapple and Henry Streets, look in the leaves near a barricade.
- Leg #2 – Just behind Henry Street, in a shaded courtyard beside a small shed.
- Leg #3 – On the corner of Henry and Popular Streets, next to an overgrown truck parked against a wall.
- Leg #4 – Off Cranberry Street, resting near a red flower bed just beside the sidewalk.
- Torso – In a parking lot off Orange Street, placed at the back of the lot near a fence.
- Head – At the intersection of Columbia Heights and Clark Streets, tucked in the leaves behind a short fence.
- Tail – In Dumbo, near the waterfront by the Brooklyn Bridge, resting on top of a concrete block structure.
Once you've collected the tail last (recommended for convenience), head a few steps away to the nearby carousel. If all the parts were gathered correctly, the wooden horse will be fully assembled on a table near the ride. Interact with it to spawn the Hunter.
This one fights using both a striker drone and an assault turret, so watch your positioning and take cover when needed. Defeating him rewards you with the Merry Mask and an ash key toward the Huntsman cache.
How to Find the Redtail Hunter Mask
To unlock the Redtail Hunter, you’ll need to find and disable nine antennas located throughout Brooklyn. These must be deactivated in a single session—if you miss one or log out, the progress may reset. Fortunately, there's no time-of-day requirement, so you can start whenever you're ready.
Here’s the full list of Division 2 Redtail Hunter antenna locations and how to disable each one:
- Vine & Hicks Street (Brooklyn Heights) – Look up to see the antenna on a rooftop. Follow the blue wire, hop a car, and interact with the antenna box to disable it.
- Water Street Construction Site – Climb the scaffold and shoot a yellow fuse box to open a locked gate. Disable the antenna at the top.
- York & Front Street – Climb up via a nearby ledge, drop into a hangout area, and disable the antenna next to the sitting area.
- Donut Shack (Plymouth & Washington Streets) – First, shoot a yellow box in an alley to unlock the donut shack entrance. Go inside to disable the rooftop antenna.
- Warehouse near York Street – Shoot a yellow panel, then circle around the area to locate and shoot two more power boxes connected to a locked structure. This grants access to the antenna switch inside.
- SHD Treatment Area (York Street) – Enter the zone with large blue pipes. Head left and follow the wire past a collectible, then hop a barrier and disable the antenna.
- Bridge & Water Street – On the corner, look up to find the antenna. Follow the wire down and disable it at ground level. BLOG20
- Skate Park Mission (Plymouth Street, Dumbo) – Climb the ladders near the underground entrance, follow the wire, and disable the antenna at the end of the path.
- Between Brooklyn Heights and Dumbo – Under the Brooklyn Bridge, climb into a construction area, shoot a hidden fuse box behind an AC unit, then climb and disable the final antenna.
If you can't find them by the description, try using these coordinates:
X | Y |
109 | 1659 |
140 | 1818 |
306 | 1604 |
457 | 1535 |
513 | 1624 |
550 | 1847 |
593 | 1732 |
-133 | 1747 |
-141 | 1598 |
After disabling all nine, go to the underground access point beneath the Brooklyn Bridge, near Adam Street and Front Street. A red light will guide you through the tunnel. At the end, you’ll find an SHD computer (311, 1756) —interact with it to broadcast the signal and trigger the Hunter.
The Redtail Hunter hits hard and often draws Cleaners or other enemies into the fight, creating chaos. Use the distraction to your advantage, and bring gear with strong survivability.
Once defeated, the Hunter drops the Redtail Mask and an ash key—one step closer to unlocking the final reward.
How to Find the Cipher Hunter Mask
The Cipher Hunter puzzle is one of the simplest and fastest to complete—no time-of-day requirement, no prep work, and no multi-part setup. All you need is some precision shooting and the ability to spell.
Head to Dumbo, near the base of the Brooklyn Bridge, and look up at the side of a building. You’ll see a strange alphabet grid laid out on the wall. This is the puzzle.
To trigger the Hunter, shoot the letters on the wall to spell the word ROBOT, in the correct sequence. Each letter must be hit with exactly one bullet. If you accidentally hit a letter twice or shoot the wrong one, the puzzle won’t activate. If that happens, simply leave the area and return or relog to reset the setup.
- Locate the alphabet grid in Dumbo.
- Shoot each letter—R, O, B, O, T, O—once and only once.
- If done correctly, the Cipher Hunter will immediately spawn nearby.
Take him down to claim the Cipher Mask and one more ash key for your collection. While this mask may not be the flashiest of the set, it’s one of the quickest to earn—making it a solid target if you’re hunting for efficiency.
How to Find the Conqueror Hunter Mask
The Conqueror Hunter requires one of the more unique puzzles in the Battle for Brooklyn DLC—you’ll need to locate and interact with seven plush animal toys hidden across Brooklyn. These toys are scattered in the open world and often found with red apples nearby. Some will detonate when you get close, while others can simply be walked up to and examined.
Here’s the Division 2 Conqueror mask guide:
Find all 7 plush animals, which include:
- Hippo
- Snake
- Leopard
- Teddy Bear
- Parrot
- Rabbit
- Turtle
These are typically found in alleyways, courtyards, and tucked-away corners. Each will either explode or be noted as an interactable object when approached. There's no required order to find them.
Once all seven animals have been found and triggered, head to the shrine location. It’s positioned at the southwestern edge of Brooklyn Heights, just left of Furman Street. Look for a small setup against a blue wall with brush and leaves around it. When you approach, you’ll get an “Interact” prompt near the plushies.
Interact with the shrine, and the Conqueror Hunter will spawn. BLOG20
The fight itself is standard Hunter fare—aggressive and tech-heavy, but nothing beyond the usual. Once defeated, the Hunter drops the Conqueror Mask and one ash key toward unlocking the Huntsman cache.
How to Find the Tracker Hunter Mask
Note: The method for unlocking the Tracker Hunter Mask has not yet been confirmed by the community. This section will be updated as soon as reliable steps are discovered and tested. Stay tuned for updates.
