Fellow heroes, we bet some of you have been waiting for this throughout the expansion. Once again, there is a chance for you to test your skills in defeating mighty bosses. In our Awakened Raids Season 4 guide, we will explain what this activity is all about. For those of you who have started playing WoW recently, it might be a new thing to explore.
To explain it briefly, WoW Awakened Raids are a direct analogue of Fated Raids we had back in Shadowlands. They follow the same format and idea. The only change here is how they are called this time around. Those who were waiting for a new raid to arrive within Season 4 must be surprised now.
Instead, we get a chance to replay all 3 Dragonflight Raids once again. If you have forgotten about them or joined recently, they are – Vault of the Incarnates, Aberrus, the Shadowed Crucible and Amirdrassil, the Dream's Hope. This time, they are available with a higher level of difficulty and better rewards. We also have a specific Awakened Raids affix that increases their difficulty even more.

Awakened Raids Rotation
Since the devs are following the same format, Awakened Raids rotation changes on a weekly basis. It was like this back in Shadowlands Season 4, and they did not want to experiment with what was working great. The weekly rotation means we are going to see a particular Raid become Awakened. During this period, it will feature an increased difficulty, as well as more promising loot.
Below, we have prepared the Awakened Raids schedule to ensure you do not miss the instance you are waiting for:
- Week 1: Awakened Vault of the Incarnates
- Week 2: Awakened Aberrus, the Shadowed Crucible
- Week 3: Awakened Amirdrassil, the Dream's Hope
- Week 4: Awakened Vault of the Incarnates
- Week 5: Awakened Aberrus, the Shadowed Crucible
- Week 6: Awakened Amirdrassil, the Dream's Hope
- Week 7: All Dragonflight Raids will be Awakened.
Vault of the Incarnates was introduced as the first raid of the Dragonflight expansion. On April 23rd, when Season 4 was released, it became the first Awakened Raid among others. You can easily identify what instance is titled Awakened this week if you open your Adventure Guide. It will be marked with a green pentagon on the top right.
As you can see from the schedule, all Dragonflight Season 4 Awakened Raids will be available at least two times. So, if you miss your favorite instance during a particular week, you will have another shot later on.
Awakened Raids Rewards
Since we are delving into an unusual season, we also have special Awakened Raids rewards this time. To earn them, you need to complete the three meta achievements. All of them are directly interlinked with Awakened Raids, of course.
- Normal Awakened Raids: Voyaging Wilderling Mount
- Heroic Awakened Raids: Awakened Hero Title
- Mythic Awakened Raids: Dragonflight Raid Teleports
Let’s get into deeper details and see what these achievements are all about. Starting with Voyaging Wilderling's Harness mount, you can get it for completing all three Awakened Raids on Normal difficulty or higher during Dragonflight Season 4.
Up next, we have the Awakened Hero Title. You can get it for completing all three Awakened Raids on Heroic difficulty or higher during Dragonflight Season 4.
Finally, you get Dragonflight Raid Teleports for completing all three Awakened Raids on Mythic difficulty or higher during Dragonflight Season 4. These teleports include the following:
Apart from that, we do not get any specific Awakened Raids loot tied to this particular season. This is your chance to claim the best gear pieces from all the instances we have had in Dragonflight for these years. BLOG20
Awakened Raids Achievements
Now that you know more about the possible rewards, let’s take a look at the Awakened Raids achievements we have this time:
- Awakened Storms: Defeat all bosses on Normal difficulty while Vault of the Incarnates is an Awakened raid.
- Heroic: Awakened Storms: Defeat all bosses on Heroic difficulty while Vault of the Incarnates is an Awakened raid.
- Mythic: Awakened Storms: Defeat all bosses on Mythic difficulty while Vault of the Incarnates is an Awakened raid.
- Awakened Shadows: Defeat all bosses on Normal difficulty while Aberrus is an Awakened raid.
- Heroic: Awakened Shadows: Defeat all bosses on Heroic difficulty while Aberrus is an Awakened raid.
- Mythic: Awakened Shadows: Defeat all bosses on Mythic difficulty while Aberrus is an Awakened raid.
- Awakened Flames: Defeat all bosses on Normal difficulty while Amirdrassil is an Awakened raid.
- Heroic: Awakened Flames: Defeat all bosses on Heroic difficulty while Amirdrassil is an Awakened raid.
- Mythic: Awakened Flames: Defeat all bosses on Mythic difficulty while Amirdrassil is an Awakened raid.
While any achievement is a nice thing to get, these ones do not give anything in particular. They only provide you with additional achievement points. Also, this season does not feature any Ahead of the Curve or Cutting Edge achievements. The reason for this is that we do not have a new raid. Instead, we have WoW Awakened Raids Season 4 and a bunch of visionary rewards. However, they can be a nice addition for achievement collectors anyway.
Awakened Raids Item Levels
As we have already mentioned, we do not get any new loot this time around. Instead, we have increased Awakened Raids item levels due to a higher level of difficulty these instances feature. Similar to past raids, the final boss offers items with higher item levels than those found elsewhere in the raid.
Difficulty | Item Level Range | Unique Drops Item Level |
Raid Finder | 480-489 | 496 |
Normal | 493-502 | 509 |
Heroic | 506-515 | 522 |
Mythic | 519-528 | 535 |
To get the highest ilvl, you will need to tackle the Mythic difficulty. For this, having a reliable raid party is a must. Otherwise, you might struggle to complete a specific instance on the chosen difficulty.

Awakened Raids Currency
With the start of Season 4, we have also received a new Awakened Raids currency called Antique Bronze Bullion. It works in the same way as Puzzling Cartel Dinar back in Shadowlands. To put it simply, players can use it to get the desirable gear piece guaranteed. It is a good chance to claim the equipment part you have always wanted.
To learn more about How to Get Antique Bronze Bullion, read the linked article.
Along with that, there is a freshly-introduced Tier Omni-Token called Awakened Tempostone. Players can exchange it for a Tier Set Armor piece by talking to Runaagos, the Neurotic Novelist in the Parting Glass. This currency drops from the final boss of any Awakened Dragonflight Raid, namely:
- Raszageth
- Sarkareth
- Fyrakk
Depending on what difficulty you have managed to farm Awakened Tempostone, it will be used to obtain an item of a particular ilvl.
Reputation Buffs in Awakened Raids
If you have missed out on an opportunity to get closer with any of the Dragonflight factions, you have a second chance. During Season 4, you have special Awakened Raids reputation buffs. They increase your reputation gains with a particular faction when this or that instance is Awakened:
- Vault of the Incarnates — Sign of Awakened Storms — Dragonscale Expedition, Maruuk Centaur, Iskaara Tuskarr.
- Aberrus — Sign of Awakened Embers — Loamm Niffen Reputation Guide, Soridormi, and Sabbelian/Wrathion.
- Amirdrassil — Sign of Awakened Dreams — Dream Wardens, and Valdrakken Accord.
- All Raids Awakened — All the mentioned reputations are increased.
As you can see, there is a leg up practically for any part of the content introduced within the Dragonflight expansion. The devs have taken care of the reputations as well. BLOG20
Nas'zuro and Fyr'alath Return Are Back in Season 4
The cherry on the cake is the return of both Nasz'uro, the Unbound Legacy and Fyr'alath the Dreamrender in Season 4. These epics can be upgraded to ilvl of 502 by using Scale of Awakening.
Once you reach this base level, you can keep upgrading these weapons with Awakened Crests and Flightstones. Yeah, Awakened Crests is a new analog of Crests we are dealing with throughout S4.
We have a detailed guide on How to Get Awakened Crests available by clicking the blue link.
Are Awakened Raids Worth It?
Awakened Raids in WoW Dragonflight are absolutely worth your time and effort. They inject a thrilling and fresh PvE experience into your gameplay, offering a break from the usual routine. One of the major draws is the loot you can score. The final bosses in these raids drop gear with significantly higher item levels than what you will find in other parts of the raid. This makes it a prime opportunity to boost your character's power and progression.
Beyond just loot, these raids are also a fantastic platform for teamwork and collaboration. Success often hinges on effective communication and coordinated strategy among players. So, whether you are aiming to gear up, bond with your guildmates, or simply enjoy a new challenge, Awakened Raids are a standout feature in Dragonflight that should not be missed.

With a few new currencies added, you can collect your favorite Class Tier Set in a blink of an eye. We have also witnessed a return of the two favorite epics. Do not waste a second longer and claim what you have missed. Good luck, and see you in Azeroth, heroes!
