What Are Endeavors in WoW Midnight Housing

Midnight Housing Endeavors is a system of tasks designed specifically for Housing. It's like an event that has a progress bar that you fill up by completing endeavor tasks, which earns you initiative - an analog of experience. The progress bar includes several milestones that contain various rewards. The cool thing is - Endeavors are thematic, and they last around 30 days. 

The theme is set by the server for public neighborhoods; the guild-created ones can assign the selection of an endeavor to one of the guild ranks. For example, a guild leader can permit officers to set the monthly endeavor. This function is called “Neighborhood Manager”. Those ranks that have it can talk to the Steward NPC about choosing an endeavor.

For example, in my public neighborhood, the current endeavor is called “Moderate mechanization”, which includes a bunch of tasks in Mechagon, and the rewards are a bunch of steampunk housing decor.

Depending on the active endeavor and its theme, the neighborhood town center changes its visual elements to match it. There’s also a portal to the related zone and an NPC who can help you skip the zone introduction quests for faster access, which is especially useful for alts.

The Priority Endeavor is a kind of endeavor that is set automatically for all types of neighborhoods. Its theme will always be related to the ongoing events, expansion story, or holidays.

So, let’s do a quick summary here to make sure you understand what Housing Endeavors are:

• Endeavors - a thematic housing activity that consists of tasks, a progress bar with milestones, and lasts about a month.
• Theme - chosen by the server for public neighborhoods and picked by one of the ranks in Guild neighborhoods. Priority Endeavors are chosen by the server for all types of neighborhoods.
• Endeavor Milestones - unlock more housing decor at the vendors. The final reward is a bunch of Community Coupons.
• Community Coupons - are a currency you get for completing tasks. It is spent on buying decor from vendors.

To access the Endeavors menu, open the Housing Dashboard from anywhere in the world by pressing H (default), and then switch the tab to Endeavors.

Next up, we’ll talk about each of the elements in the endeavor window in a bit more detail, because there are some less obvious things about them that you need to know.

Endeavor Tasks

Tasks are challenges or quests that you complete to push the progress bar of the endeavor and unlock Housing Endeavors milestones. Some tasks are repeatable, but they yield fewer rewards each time you do them. The thematic ones give you the most progress in the endeavor progress bar. The objectives are very different. Some of them require you to do some activities in your neighborhood. These tasks have a “home” in their name, for example:

• Jet Set Air Trio – Test mechagnome air jets in your neighborhood without touching the ground.
• Beach Scrap – Collect scrap metal from neighborhood beaches to help local recyclers.
• Mechagnome Transportation – Test mechagnome air jets by completing transportation routes around the area.
• Return Lost Mecha-Hens – Find and return miscalibrated Mecha-Hens scattered throughout the neighborhood.
• Be a Good Neighbor – Perform helpful and friendly deeds for NPCs inside your neighborhood.

Another type will have you go to a specific location, in my case its Mechagon, and do some stuff there. For example:

• Consumate Constructor – Complete construction projects specifically within Mechagon.
• HK-8 Aerial Oppression Unit – Defeat the HK-8 Aerial Oppression Unit during Operation: Mechagon.
• King Mechagon – Defeat King Mechagon inside the Operation: Mechagon dungeon.
• Daily Quests – Complete daily quests located in the Mechagon zone.
• Kill Rares – Hunt down and kill rare enemies that spawn across Mechagon.

The final type of WoW Housing tasks that you will see in the list can be named as simply “general”. Meaning you just need to play various activities and do all the stuff you usually do. For instance:

• Complete World Quests – Finish a set number of world quests across any eligible zones.
• Kill Raid Bosses – Defeat raid bosses in any active raid instance.
• Complete Delves – Complete delves in available delving locations.
• Complete Mythic+ Dungeons – Finish Mythic+ dungeon runs regardless of key level.
• Earn Honor – Gain Honor through PvP activities such as battlegrounds or world PvP.

These you will likely complete passively by just playing. The number in the green flag on the right is the amount of house XP that you will get for completing it. If you want to know more about house leveling, check out our Housing Leveing Guide.

A neat thing that you can do is shift-click on any task to track them. This will add the task to the active quest log. The progress is shared between all characters in your wabrond. BLOG20

Community Coupons: Housing Decor Currency

This one is easy - it’s a currency that you spend on buying housing decor from the decor vendors in your neighborhood. These coupons are earned by completing Endeavor tasks, and there’s a cap of 500. WoW community coupons are shared between all of your alt characters in the same warbond. As you know, those vendors are located in the Town Center. Some of them sell decor for gold, but you’re looking for the Endeavor Trader who sells decor for coupons. In my neighborhood, that’s Pascal-K1N6. The vendor will change based on the active endeavor.

If you’re visiting a neighborhood with a different active endeavor, you can still spend your Community Coupons on buying their unique endeavor decor.

Prior to reaching the first milestone, his stock is limited to items that cost anywhere from 2 to 5 coupons, but as you unlock more stock, the prices for those new items will also rise.

There’s a list of all currently known Endeavors that you can find active in different neighborhoods. As I’ve said earlier, there will be more thematic ones. Still, the variety of those that are already in the game is pretty impressive. Here’s the full list.
