All Keys and Door Locations in ARC Raiders

Keys are relatively rare to find in ARC Raiders. Despite that, they pile up quickly, as they don’t stack (devs pls), so you have to use them. Relying on sometimes cryptic descriptions can be stressful, as you don’t want to go into the raid and lose your key. We’ve decided to show all keys and door locations in ARC Raiders so you won’t have this problem ever again.

Learn All Keys and Door Locations in ARC Raiders

Keys are one of the completely random drops of ARC Raiders. You might not get them from locked zones with high loot density, but then get a purple key in a random trashcan. Despite being quite rare, the rooms they open might not always get you high-value loot. You can increase the value of the items spawning behind locked doors going into the raid when the Dynamic Event is active. Nonetheless, opening a door is always a gamble, and though the loot is usually worth it, sometimes you won’t get much. The rarity of a key usually shows if there are higher chances of better loot spawning. Purple keys have a higher chance of spawning blueprints, and green keys usually might have some decent rare materials, but nothing too crazy. There are 21 keys that you can use across all 5 maps the game has to offer. In this guide, we will explain where to use keys in ARC Raiders.

All ARC Raiders Locked Door Locations

We’re not going to waste your time with a preamble and go straight to the point. The keys usually tell where you can use them in the item description, but not every key is this straightforward. For instance, the Dam Staff Room Key says that it unlocks a door in the R&A Building in the Dam, but if you’ve ever been there, you know that the area is huge! There ain’t no way you can find the room fast. Every extra moment spent in a high-activity area increases the risk of a gunfight, or worse, the probability of the room being opened by someone else. Below, we’ll list all ARC Raiders locked door locations, mark them on the map, and attach a screenshot of the area. Let’s start!

Dam Surveillance Key - Water Treatment Control

First, we’ll start with the Dam keys. The Dam Surveillance Key opens a room in Water Treatment Control, a building in the southwest of the map, on the edge of the swamps. To enter the room, go northwest from the Water Treatment Elevator extraction, then go down to the door on the building's south side. Enter it and turn right, go through the alarm gate, and turn right again. It’s the door opposite the camera. Even on its own, this location usually has decent loot and can even spawn a weapon crate. The room, however, does not always spawn something decent. It has a chance for a weapon crate spawn, but funnily enough, you have a higher chance of finding a better gun inside the lockers in this room.

Dam Staff Room Key - Research & Administration

One of the rooms that you’ll have a hard time finding, unless you know where to go. It’s on the first floor of the building. You can get there virtually from any side of the building, except east and south. It’s the door opposite the western entrance. The entrance is usually guarded by a Bombardier or a Bastion. The loot here is usually subpar, so if you’re disappointed by what you got, you can get out of the room, turn left, and go up on the rappel inside the elevator shaft. The second floor of this building usually has quite decent staff spawning there, especially if you’re looking for Trinkets or Medical loot.

Dam Testing Annex Key - Testing Annex

It’s in the name. Go to the southeast side of the map. The location has an extraction available close to it, and because of it, the second floor or the roof of the building is often occupied by campers by the end of the round. It’s quite a popular place, so be extra careful when looting it. One special thing about this key is that it can open one of the two doors that are located on the ground floor of the building. You can quickly reach the doors by going through the parking lot entrance, facing the Control Tower. It’s often guarded by a Rocketeer or a Leaper. The bigger room usually has better loot and nice grenades, but the smaller one has a better chance of spawning weapons inside the lockers. Despite being a Rare key, the loot leaves a lot to be desired even during the Dynamic Events raids.

Dam Control Tower Key - Control Tower

The Dam Control Tower Key opens a room that’s often the cause of the most raider deaths on Dam Battlegrounds. No wonder, as it’s one of the best Dam Battlegrounds key room locations. If you want to open the room, first of all, you have to be lucky with your spawn. Secondly, you need to rush towards the room as fast as you can, as other people with the key are already running there fullspeed. Thirdly, you need to take at least a couple of grenades and mines. This room has only one exit, which is frequently camped if you didn’t bother to take mines with you to signal the presence of the enemy. This room has lots of great loot, with rare materials and weapons spawning here. Sometimes it also spawns a security locker, and if you go outside one of the windows locked by the roller shutters, you can find a raider stash. It’s on the very top of the building. You can get there by rappelling up the elevator shaft. Watch out for Turrets that often guard the shaft.

Buried City Hospital Key - Hospital

Now let’s talk about Buried City keys and doors. First, let’s start with the Hospital Key. Finding this room is pretty easy. If you enter through the entrance facing the Library, turn left and walk straight until you face the room, often guarded by a Turret. Turn left, and you’ll see a locked door. The loot in this room is quite good and will be especially useful if you’re upgrading your Medical Station in the Workshop. Don’t forget to loot all areas of the Hospital as even without the key, it often has something nice to offer.

Buried City JKV Employee Access Card - Space Travel

The description of this access card is unusually cryptic for a green key. You have to go to the Space Travel building and reach its 4th floor. There, you’ll find a locked room. If you frequently go there, you know that Space Travel isn’t shy of giving great loot, including weapons and rare materials necessary for crafting the most used equipment. This room is no exception, as you can often get nice weapon mods and weapons in here. It’s super stacked for a green keycard room, making it one of the best rooms in ARC Raiders to open with a key.

Buried City Residential Master Key - Grandioso Apartments or Main Street

There are two places where you can use this key, and unlike with the Testing Annex Key, they’re not in each other’s vicinity. The first area where you can use the key is located west of the Plaza Rosa. It’s the building right next to it, under the Main Street name on the map. The second area is in the northern building of Grandioso Apartments. Head to the very first floor. If you go down the elevator shaft, turn right and go into the door leading to the room. Inside, you’ll see a locked door, which you can unlock with this key. Our personal recommendation: it’s always worth unlocking the Grandioso Apartments room. You’ll find lots of Trinkets, some Nature loot, and weapons. Don’t forget to loot the balcony. You can get there by breaking the room's windows.

Buried City Town Hall Key - Town Hall

The Buried City Town Hall Key unlocks not just a room but a whole building. This is one of the biggest values you can get out of a key purely from the volume of the loot you can find here. It’s one of the top keys to use in ARC Raiders. Honestly, not much to say, as it’s clearly one of the best, if not the best keycard in ARC Raiders. It’s often a center for PvP, but it’s a pretty open area, which you can easily protect once you’re inside. BLOG20

Blue Gate Communication Tower Key - Pilgrim’s Peak

Despite being a Rare key, this room has rarely brought us anything useful. The area is very popular with raiders, who flock here like moths to the flame. It’s on the ground floor of the Pilgrim’s Peak, at the far end of the location, next to the elevator shaft. There’s a lot of electrical loot here, which is useful for consumables, but no big drops in the room. Very reliable, but a bit unsatisfying.

Blue Gate Confiscation Room Key - Security Wing

This Epic keycard opens a room inside the underground area of the Blue Gate. The easiest way you can get there is by hugging the left wall of the Checkpoint when going inside this big tunnel. The one that’s guarded by a Bastion or a Bombardier. Hug the wall until you see a small set of stairs. Go up, turn left, and you’ll see the door. Be wary, as there are way too many players waiting for you to open this area. A very hot zone for PvP. The loot is nothing to scoff at, but be extra careful. Get armed to the teeth and listen for the Jolt Mines.

Blue Gate Village Key - Village

This room has got to be a joke. It’s a key room with poor loot even during the Night Raids. There’s 1 weapon crate spawn here and a decent amount of lockers/cupboards. Nothing too interesting. It’s very safe, though, as not a lot of players try to open this door, so if you have nothing better at the moment, why not try it? The location is on the western side of the Village. It’s hard to explain, so just refer to the screenshot above to find the room.

Blue Gate Cellar Key - West of Ruined Homestead

You’ve probably stumbled upon this locked cellar when going to the Olive Grove from the west side of the map. This room contains a lot of various loot, including weapons, blueprints, grenades, and healing items. Quite a nice room, which isn’t often camped (virtually no places to camp around it), but any raider going west from the Ancient Fort might notice that this place is open and hear you. Listen closely before and after looting inside this cellar, or you might eat a couple of nades.

Patrol Car Key - Traffic Tunnel

Closing our Blue Gate keycard room locations is the key that doesn’t even explain which map it is used on. You can figure it out only by reading the conditions of one of the quests later in the game, which Tian Wen gives you. The patrol cars are these big armored army vehicles you can find inside the tunnel. The key can fit any of them. There’s not a lot of loot to find inside, but it’s a nice source of weapon farming. The Traffic Tunnel is a high-traffic area, no pun intended, so be careful while looting, as you’re going to be doing this in the open.

Spaceport Trench Tower Key - North and South Trench Towers

Now onto the Spaceport key room locations. This key opens two doors. Both North and South Trench Towers have the same loot inside. The best thing about this location is that the key opens not just one room but a whole building with tons of loot. If you’re going in a group, this is one of the best places to go. It’s frequently visited by other players, though. Watch out for Ziplines that people can place on the Tower’s roof and sneak up on you.

Spaceport Container Storage Key - Container Storage

For some reason, this location is very popular with players, so expect at least some PvP when going here. The door is located on the upper floor of the building. You can get there multiple ways, and that’s the problem. Once you’re inside, you can be attacked from anywhere. We don’t recommend using the key on the door connecting the location to the outside. It’s better to use it on one of the doors inside the Container Storage. Another piece of advice we can give you is to check if the place has already been looted before using the key. It might just so happen that someone has been there before, and you’ll waste a perfectly good key for nothing.

Spaceport Control Tower Key - Control Tower A6

Remember the Dam’s Control Tower? Well, it’s the same story here. This key opens an elevator shaft that leads you to the top floor of the Control Tower. Lots and lots of PvP to be expected, but if you take a couple of mines with you, it won’t be a problem. Since entering this room requires rappelling up the elevator shaft, you can place a Pulse Mine here and listen to the player fall to his death as he is pushed back into the shaft. The loot inside is very good, so no wonder people like this place. You can also get to the roof from here, which is required in a couple of quests.

Spaceport Warehouse Key - Shipping Warehouse

A pretty chill location to loot. The reason is that you can spawn here pretty early and go straight to looting it. It’s on the second floor of the building. Usually, there’s nothing too fancy spawning here, but if you have the key, it’s still worth looking at. We’d suggest using a key here during the Night Raid to increase the loot’s quality.

Stella Montis Archives Key - Cultural Archives

At the very end of the Cultural Archives, you can see the name Storage Room visible on the map. Go there. One of the Stella Montis key doors that has insane loot and regularly drops a couple of blueprints, especially during the Night Raid. If you’re farming money, this is one of the best rooms to open. Lots of trinkets, grenades, weapons, and, as mentioned before, blueprints. Not a very popular place to open, as the key is quite rare. If you’re lucky enough to have it, don’t waste it. Even if the room has already been opened, we recommend looking around. Some crates go unused because people forget to break them open. Very high density of Shredders.

Stella Montis Assembly Admin Key - Central Corridor

If you’ve ever gone through the central corridor towards the Lobby area, there’s a big chance you’ve seen this room. This room is well worth opening even if it’s not in a colored loot area. It’s also a very populated area. A lot of people spawn in the Assembly throughout the whole raid. Stay alert while looting this room.

Stella Montis Medical Storage - Medical Research

Is there a point to saying that this area is filled with Raiders ready to shoot you on sight if the map itself is PvP-based? In this case, yes, as this is the biggest attraction zone for free loadout people for some reason. You would think that going to the most PvP-active zone with a free kit would be dumb. I guess people just hope to find an unlooted Raider body and hit the jackpot. But anyways, watch out for Shredders once (not if) the shootout starts. Close every door behind you. The locked room is on the first floor in the northern part of the location, closer to the Assembly area.

Stella Montis Security Checkpoint Key - Lobby

Though Lobby isn’t that stacked with loot, it seems all roads converge here. You can find this room at the very bottom of the set of stairs on the eastern side of the Security Bridge. It’s rich with guns, gun mods, and gun parts. It’s a very dangerous room to loot, as a player can sneak up on you, open the room, throw in the grenade, and lock it back. Repeat until the flares go off. Good luck getting it open, though, as it seems everyone and their mother rushes here at the start of the match. You might find some Raider leftovers here worth looting.

Conclusion

These were all the ARC Raiders keycard door locations for now. Though keycards are rare to find, you might increase the chances of finding them by looting all that you see at night. Any lootable spot can drop a keycard, so don’t hesitate to loot even the unmarked places. Once the new map goes live, we’ll update the article to tell you about the new keys, but for now, that’s it. See you in the other guides!

F.A.Q

How do you find keys in ARC Raiders faster?

Try playing during the Night Raids, Electromagnetic Storms, and any other major map modifiers.

Are ARC Raiders keys single-use or permanent?

They are single-use, unfortunately, so if you get nothing useful after using a key, tough luck.

What are the best key rooms to open first for loot in ARC Raiders?

If you get a keycard for Stella Montis Archives or Blue Gate Confiscation Room Key, they’re the best to open. Just come in prepared.

Can you still use the door glitch in ARC Raiders to open locked doors without a key?

Not anymore, the developers have fixed this glitch. Now, if you enter the room this way, you’ll be showered by napalm and won’t be able to unlock the door.

Are keys in ARC Raiders stackable?

No, which is a major problem since they occupy a whole slot in your inventory.

Is it worth it to use the keys during Normal raids in ARC Raiders?

In general, it isn’t. If you’re just starting out and found a key, it might be worth doing to strengthen the inventory. Otherwise, only use them during the Night Raids or any other major map events.

ARC Raiders should I take multiple keys into the raid?

It depends on the augment you equip. If it’s any of the Mk. 3 augments: they can fit a lot of stuff and even have multiple safe pockets. If your augment is Mk. 1 or Mk. 2, it’s much riskier.
