Every player can participate in this event. You don’t have to own any expansions or have a high Power level. All you need to do is go visit the Tower and talk to good ol’ Eva Levante. You might know her as the event coordinator.

As mentioned before, three classes compete in earning score points. All you gotta do is play the game as your class and amass medals in GG-flavored playlists - an assortment of classic game modes with a twist. For example, in Crucible, every player on the team has the same class. The road to the highest score is divided into thresholds that can be considered as personal milestones. Upon reaching such a threshold, you will be able to unlock one of the rewards at the Tower Podium by igniting the fires behind it. When you submit your score to the Podium, you will also receive the game’s glow effect. Your Guardian Games class item will change its color as well based on what place your class has earned. In recognition of your active involvement in the Guardian Games All-Stars, you'll have the opportunity to acquire distinctive glows and the associated boasting privileges. These accolades are tied to both your individual accomplishments and collaborative feats, totaling five in number:

1. Achievement of the title "Tower's Finest Guardian."
2. Bragging rights as a member of the prevailing class for the day.
3. Attainment of a shoulder glow is contingent on your weekly achievements in the Nightfall playlist.
4. Earning a second shoulder glow for your weekly accomplishments in Supremacy and Gambit.
5. Reception of a bronze for the third place, silver for the second, or gold glow for the first place, shaped like a laurel crown (design will change based on your class’ performance), during the coronation ceremony held every Friday.

If your class happens to have the highest average score among all other players in the Tower, you’ll receive a special glow that will show everyone that you’re the record holder. This effect will persist until the next weekly reset.

Each Friday, there’s a Ceremony where the class with the highest score of that week receives the crown effect, and colorful glows for their Destiny 2 Guardian Games 2024 armor, which lasts until the next Friday when the new victor is decided.

Medallions are the event’s currency. These are tokens that you can insert into the Tower’s Podium to get your loot. There are now not two but three types of Medallions:
