Layered Armor

Monster Hunter Wilds layered armor allows you to customize your appearance without changing your armor’s stats. Layered armor can be acquired from several sources:

  1. Pre-order bonus – both Deluxe and Premium Deluxe editions include Hunter and Palico’s layered armor sets.
  2. In-game events and collaborations – just like in previous Monster Hunter games, there will be seasonal events and collaboration events with other titles, which will feature special quests that will reward you with layered armor sets.
  3. Crafting High-Rank armor - it has been stated that the Layered armor for your hunter and Palico will be registered whenever you craft high-rank equipment, which could mean that as soon as you craft the high-rank piece of armor, its layered variant will also become available for free.

This means that starting from High Rank, you’ll be able to create custom transmog sets as long as you crafted the armor at least once. But the layered armor that you get as any Monster Hunter Wilds pre-order bonuses can be equipped at low rank.

Seikret’s Customization

Your trusty mount, the cute Seikret, also has its own customization editor with a bunch of options. As you progress through the story, you’ll be able to change your Monster Hunter Wilds Seikret customization options, which will become available – skin, feather colors, patterns, and even eye color, allowing for a truly unique companion. You can also equip different decorations, such as the Iron Mask Trappings, to give your Seikret a more armored or stylish look.

Additionally, pendants can be attached for extra flair, and you can even rename your Seikret to make it feel more personal. Some exclusive Seikret decorations are also included as pre-order bonuses, giving early players a way to stand out.

The Stuffed Felyne Teddy pendant for your Seikret and weapons is a bonus for taking part in any of the Open Beta tests of the game.

Pop-Up Camp Customization

In Monster Hunter Wilds, pop-up camps are fully customizable, allowing you to personalize your hunting base beyond just setting up a tent. This is a major expansion of camp customization compared to previous titles.

Monster Hunter Wilds camp customization options include the following:

  1. Tents – Change the appearance, color, and design of your tent to match your personal style.
Camping Chairs & Decorations – Customize seating arrangements and additional decorative elements within your camp. BLOG20
  2. Additional Camp Features – Though not fully detailed yet, players can expect interactive objects or minor functional upgrades.
  3. Background Music (BGM) Customization – Choose different music tracks to set the atmosphere for your camp.

This new system makes pop-up camps more than just resting zones—they now act as personalized hubs where players can express themselves while preparing for the next hunt.

Hunter Profile Customization

In previous Monster Hunter games, players had Guild Cards, which served as an in-game player profile page that could be used to display the info about your character. Plus, Guild Cards were used to add players to the in-game friend list.

Monster Hunter Wilds Hunter Profile has replaced Guild Cards. It’s basically the same thing but has more features and customization options, such as:

  • Custom Nameplates - select the background for your name
  • Top Page Widgets – includes things like achievement medals
  • Poses – allows you to change the pose in which your hunter and palico are presented on the Hunter’s Profile.
  • Expressions – allows you to customize the facial expressions separately from the poses.
  • Custom camera angle – lets you select the camera angle.
  • Backgrounds – choose between various backgrounds for your profile.
  • Chosen equipment – dress your hunter and palico in any armor to display on the Hunter Profile page.

All in all, we’d say the only thing that’s changed is the name of this feature. By the looks of it, they are still the same old Guild cards but with more options.

Conclusion

Customization in Monster Hunter Wilds goes far beyond just creating your character—it’s about making every aspect of your hunter’s journey feel personal. From layered armor transmog system to Seikret customization, pop-up camps, and even the Hunter Profile, the game offers more ways than ever to express yourself. Whether you’re hunting solo or with friends, these customization options ensure that every hunter stands out in their own unique way. With even more cosmetic updates on the horizon, Monster Hunter Wilds is shaping up to be the most customizable Monster Hunter experience yet!
