What Is Auction House in Throne and Liberty?
Auction House in Throne and Liberty is the main trading hub players use to sell and buy their items. It uses a special currency (Lucent) instead of the basic one (Sollant) you need when trading with NPCs. Since the game has no direct trading option, it is the only way you can buy stuff from others, just like selling yours in return.
Prices in the AH can change radically depending on the meta state. The class builds like Longbow + Dagger or SNS + Wand can significantly increase the cost of the corresponding items. This means you can make a larger profit if you prepare for several ways in which meta can develop in the future. You can sell the items people need more when the right time comes.
Things to Buy and Sell in Auction House
The game offers a large selection of items you can trade in the AH. They can be almost anything you want with a few exceptions. You cannot sell upgraded gear or the equipment you earn from Co-Op Dungeons and Guild Raids. We have outlined four distinct categories of things you can buy and sell in the Auction House:
- Weapons
- Armor
- Accessories
- Crafting Materials
- Recipes
All the items listed in T&L Auction House belong to one of these categories. The stuff that can be placed in neither of them goes to Miscellaneous.
How to Access Auction House
The only requirement to access the Auction House is to hit level 40 on a character you are playing. This is almost the maximum level you can reach now, meaning the AH is mainly created for the end game and those who wish to get prepared for top-tier content.
Our PROs can help you reach the desired level all the way up to 50 in a jiffy. Check out our T&L Powerleveling and save plenty of your time. We will take care of the grind for you!
How to Use Throne and Liberty Auction House
To start trading in the Auction House, press the F10 button and choose it in the menu section. You can access it directly by pressing the F9 button instead. You do not need to visit a specific NPC, and it is always available to you. Once you figure out how to open it, you are good to go. Now, let’s figure out how to use Throne and Liberty Auction House starting from the main buttons:
- Purchase
- Sell
- Sell History
In case you are not going to invest real money, you are interested in the Sell button first. By selling the items you already have, you can earn your first Lucent and start buying the items you need as well.
Head to the Sell section to see what things you can sell to players. Some of them can be expensive, while others cost almost nothing. Starting from scratch would be difficult, but you need to get rid of some of the items to make some Lucent. You can choose an easier way and buy it for real money if you want to save time.
Once you get a bunch of Lucent, you can navigate to the Purchase tab and see what other players can offer. Choose one of the categories to browse through. We will take the Armor tab as an example in our guide. Here is what you will see when you open it:
- Item Name
- Lowest Sale Price
- Sale List
Depending on how rare an item is, its Lowest Sale Price will vary accordingly. You can also see how many of these are now available in the Auction House to understand the demand. The most expensive items have the highest sale price and are usually available in a few pieces. In our screenshot, such items are Wraith Knight’s Netherworld Headgear, Abyss Slayer’s Void Mask, and World Tree’s Mysterious Wreath.
Note: You can use a filter to search for whatever item you need rather than scrolling the entire list. Add the items you want to monitor more often into the Favorites tab. This will help you check their prices in a few clicks instead of typing their names every time.
How to Sell in Auction House
If you decide to go the hard way and not invest a single penny of yours, you need to learn how to make Lucent first. This currency will be used to buy the items you need from others. Here is a short guide on how to sell in the Auction House in Throne and Liberty:
- Browse through your inventory and see what items you can sell
- Click on the item you choose
- Set the price relying on the Lowest Price and Highest Price fields
- Press the Confirm button and register the item
You can then monitor how the price is changing and make a decision to either lower it or make it higher. The more you play, the more chances you can predict the way the in-game market behaves. Ideally, you want to know what items to sell during specific events or whenever a new instance is released.
In our guide, we will take Quality Rubrix as an example to review. Imagine you want to sell it, and here is a list of things you need to consider:
- Lowest Price
- Highest Price
- Average Price
- Price of Last Transaction
- Lowest Current Available Price
Depending on the demand, the item’s cost you want to sell can vary significantly. You should always check the Average Price and Lowest Current Available Price fields. This will provide you with a better understanding of what price to set. If you set a price that is too low, you will lose a potential profit. Settings a too-high price will make it so that your item will never be bought.
The item’s average price is 0.738 Lucent, meaning you want to register your bid at around the same mark. Otherwise, you risk never selling it, and your bid will expire in vain. You can try to be greedy and go for the Highest Price, which is 2 Lucent, but be prepared that it will take quite a while for someone to buy this from you.
Note: You can only list a maximum of 30 items for sale, each register requiring a sum of Sollant to be paid to make the bid appear in the AH. If your item is not sold within a specified time window, it will be deleted from the AH, and no Sollant will be returned.
How to Buy in Auction House
Congratulations on making your first Lucent. You are now ready to buy the items you need from others with this currency. We have prepared a brief instruction on how to buy in the Auction House in Throne and Liberty:
- Find the item you are going to purchase
- See its Lowest Sale Price
- If you have enough Lucent, you can buy it immediately
It works as simple as that, but only if you have the required amount of the in-game currency. In most cases, you will not have enough Lucent, especially if you are going for a big buy. In the screenshot, you can see Penance Knight’s Annihilator, which comes at 1,500 Lucent. Only three people are selling it in the Auction House. This makes the demand for this item grow, leading to a significant price increase.
If you need this particular item, you have two options: get more Lucent to buy it now or wait for the price to go down. The second option is a risky one since you can never know for sure if the item will cost more or less.
Auction House Tax Rate
Keep in mind the Auction House Tax Rate when selling an unwanted item. The basic rate is 20%, but you can be charged extra if the buyer’s server is different from yours. It is called the Castle Tax Rate, and it is usually no more than 1%. You can always see a total Tax Rate before selling an item. As a rule, it will be 21% or around this mark. Always remember about it if you expect to receive a particular amount of Lucent after a successful trade.
Throne and Liberty Auction House Tips
To make the most profit, we have prepared a list of Throne and Liberty Auction House tips to follow:
Know the Market Prices | Always research the going rates for items before buying or selling. Use the Sell History feature to check past sales and trends. This prevents you from overpaying as a buyer or underpricing as a seller, ensuring you stay competitive and profitable. |
List at Peak Times | Timing is crucial. Post items when the server has the most active players – typically during evenings or weekends. High traffic boosts visibility and competition, increasing the likelihood of your items selling quickly and at a higher price. |
Set Competitive Prices | For high-demand items, pricing just below the market rate can attract buyers fast. However, be cautious not to undervalue rare or high-tier items. Knowing your item’s worth and the demand allows you to price smartly. |
Use Buyout Options | Many players prefer to buy immediately rather than wait for auctions to end. By setting a reasonable buyout price, you will attract these impatient buyers, especially for in-demand items where speed is important. |
Monitor Listings | Keep an eye on your listed items. If they are not moving, be ready to adjust prices or re-list. Sometimes, market conditions change, and flexibility ensures your items do not sit idle for too long, locking up your inventory. |
These tips can seem basic, yet many players neglect them when starting to play T&L. Following them can save you a ton of Lucent in the long run and help you score a bigger profit.
The Most Profitable Items to Sell
The trading meta is changing non-stop, and you can hardly predict what item’s cost is going to be pumped next. Our team has done our best to outline the most profitable items to sell for today. Treat this list as a mere recommendation rather than a must-follow instruction:
- Weapons: Penance Knight’s Annihilator, Purgatory’s Lethal Claw, Diagon’s Gale Sword
- Armor: Wraith Knight’s Netherworld Headgear, Abyss Slayer’s Void Mask, World Tree’s Mysterious Wreath
- Accessories: Magic Scale Necklace, Pitch-black Destruction Necklace, Great Tree Sap Necklace
- Miscellaneous: Queen Bellandir’s Carapace Fragment
Most of these items can be discovered with a small chance when exploring the world. Others drop from specific mobs or bosses (e.g., Queen Bellandir’s Carapace Fragment). Do remember that T&L is built around the hard and long grind, meaning you can spend days, if not weeks to get the desired items. However, this is the only option to earn the premium currency without investing real money.
What Makes Auction House Valuable
The Auction House in Throne and Liberty is invaluable because it is the only means for players to exchange items. Since there is no player-to-player trading, the AH becomes the central hub for buying and selling gear, materials, and other valuable items. This feature creates a controlled, fair marketplace where all transactions are secure, preventing potential scams or manipulation that might occur in direct trades.
Additionally, this system offers transparency – players can track prices, follow market trends, and make informed decisions about their trades. It encourages competition, which helps balance the game’s economy. This makes it essential for both casual players and high-level traders alike.
Conclusion
To finish our Throne and Liberty Auction House guide, we hope you have learned what you came after. You are now a fully prepared trader who is ready to make their first Lucent. By learning the basics of the game’s central trading hub, you can gear up your character quickly or get rid of the items you no longer need. Make sure to save our article to your browser’s bookmarks. We might add more information in the future if the developers change this system. This is it for now, and we will see you in the game!
