How to Get Mastery Rank Fast in 2024

Mastery Rank is the metric that represents your overall progress in Warframe. Each new rank unlocks access to more content including new warframes, weapons, quests, etc. In this guide we will explain how Mastery Rank works and how to increase it.

Welcome, Tenno. You may have mastered your weapons, you may have mastered your Warframes, but have you mastered yourself? Today, we’re going to talk about how to increase mastery rank in Warframe.

Warframe needs no introduction. It is one of the best and most popular free looter-shooters in the world. With a massive community and a super-talented team behind its development, this game has the recipe for success. It’s got a ton of content - there are multiple activities to play through, Warframes to level up, weapons to try out, and much more. With so much stuff in the game, it can be hard to track your overall progress. Warframe doesn’t feature classic character levels. Instead, every piece of equipment, from your Warframe to your pet dog, has ranks that increase the more you use that piece of equipment. However, the ultimate metric of your progress through the game is called Master Ranks. By looking at the Mastery Rank, you can tell how much a person has seen in the game and their overall experience with it.

Increasing the mastery rank is not as easy as increasing a Warframe rank. It takes a lot of time and a lot of grinding. You can skip all of that senseless grind that comes with it if you buy Warframe Mastery Tests Completion Boost at SkyCoach. Warframe Mastery Ranks Explained

If you want to know how to rank up in Warframe, you need to understand what Mastery Rank is. Often referred to as simply “MR”, this is a progression meter that shows how much content of the game you have experienced. There are 30 Mastery Ranks plus 4 legendary ranks, accumulating to 34 in total.

Pay attention now, as we’re going to explain how to get mastery rank in Warframe. Each new rank isn’t just given to you once you have enough mastery. You must pass a test to get promoted.

These tests are short solo-only missions that take place in a special location which can be found in the Cephalon Simaris' Relay room. The test can be completed at any time if a player is eligible. Meaning you don’t have to do it the moment you see the notification for it.

Failure of this test does not reset the mastery points, but you must wait for 24 hours to try again. Disconnection or forfeiting brings the same result. The good news is that you can practice the next test. Just go to any relay and seek out Cephalon Simaris. There’ll be an entrance on the right side that leads to the practice mode. You can also replay any previous tests. One last thing to know about the test - you can’t use your Operator during tests for ranks 1-23. Below, we will list every rank, the required amount of mastery points for it, and what kind of test you will be required to pass to progress.

How To Increase Mastery Rank in Warframe

The answer to the question of how to level up mastery in Warframe is more nuanced than you think. You have your Affinity (equivalent of experience points). Completing nodes on the Star Chart along with the Railjack Intrinsics counts towards gaining Mastery Points. Plus, basically, everything you level up and complete counts towards your next Mastery Rank. As we’ve briefly mentioned before, there’s a lot of equipment in the game that can be ranked up. Each new rank counts towards achieving the next Mastery Rank. Below, we’ll provide and explain each source of mastery points. BLOG20

Ranking Weapons

This section will explain how to mastery rank up in Warframe using weapons. There are many types of weapons in the game, most of which have a maximum rank of 30. Each new rank gives you 100 mastery points with a total of 3,000 mastery points. However, there are some exceptions and special cases.

  • Kitguns - are custom modular and secondary weapons created by players by mix-matching three different parts. They can be ranked up to 30, then gilded and ranked up again for extra mastery points.
  • Zaws - are custom modular melee weapons created by players by mix-matching three different parts. They can also be ranked up to 30, then gilded and ranked up again for extra mastery points.
  • Paracesis - is a unique melee weapon that can be ranked up to 40 by using Forma polarization five times.
  • Kuva weapons - variations of regular weapons that drop from player’s unique nemesis called Lich. They too can be ranked up to 40 using 5 Forma for polarisation. 1 Forma polarization gives you access to 2 new ranks up to 40.
  • Tenet weapons - variations of regular weapons that are dropped by the Sisters of Parvos, another type of personal nemesis of the player. They can also be ranked up to 40 by spending 5 Forma to give you 4,000 mastery points.

Ranking Gear

As for how to raise mastery rank Warframe using other equipment, this can be done with a great number of things. Besides weapons, you have a bunch of other equipment that can be ranked up to Rank 30, bu they give you a different amount of mastery points compared to weapons. Usually, we’re talking about 200 mastery points per rank.

  • Warframes - need no introduction. These are your battle suits that grant amazing powers.
  • Companions - there are 7 types of companions that include Robotics, Beasts and Deimos Infested Beasts. Each one of these have a maximum rank of 30.
  • Archwings - special equipment that allows your Warframe to fly in space or the atmosphere of a planet.
  • K-Drives - a kind of hoverboards that you can ride to traverse greater distances. These are also modular, but they don’t require to be gilded.
  • Plexus - a device that modifies players' performance in Railjack.
  • Nercamechs - weaponized mechs from Deimos. They can be ranked up to 40 by spending 5 Forma to give you 4,000 mastery points.

You’re going to need exactly 180 Forma to rank up everything fully. That includes:

  1. Necramechs
  2. Kuva weapons
  3. Tenet weapons
  4. Paracesis

You have to know that if you sell a rank 30 piece of gear, then buy it back or craft it, it will reset its rank to 1. If you want to know how to rank up in Warframe fast, you can try something else. Ranking up the second time after this won’t give you any mastery points. In other words, each variant of equipment will give you mastery points only once. That includes variations of the same weapon, such as:

  • MK1
  • Prime
  • Syndicate
  • Vandal
  • Wraith
  • Prisma
  • Dex
  • Kuva
  • Tenet

Each of these will give you their own set of mastery points for ranking them up. This also applies to all of the different breeds of companions. To sum things up, acquiring mastery points is done by ranking up your equipment.

Higher ranks mean more capacity, which helps when customizing gear. This also works for special "Legendary" ranks, where the capacity can go even higher. For example, reaching Legendary 1 gives a minimum capacity of 31 (or 62 with upgrades). BLOG20
