Blood Moon Event Changes in WoW SoD Phase 3

Great news, everybody! WoW SoD Blood Moon Phase 3 brings new level 50 epic gear. On top of that, we are getting a new currency – Massacre Coins. It will replace the previously available currency called Blood Coins.

What is Blood Moon Event in WoW SoD

First of all, let’s find out what is Blood Moon event WoW SoD and what its purpose is. Speaking of the latter, you can enjoy fun PvP encounters while also earning unique rewards. The main idea of this activity is that you should have no other players to rely on. A member of any faction can attack everyone while this event is active.

How does this happen, and where? Well, Stranglethorn Vale is the only Blood Moon location where you can take part in this event. Once the activity starts, you will notice a red fog covering the entire zone. During this time, you can attack everyone you can see. Trust us, you want to start attacking first, or you will get slain in a moment.

Upon killing another player, you earn the Blood for the Blood Loa buff. The maximum number you can collect it to is limited to 255 stacks. If you die, you will lose a percentage-based amount of this buff/currency, too. So, it is in your best interest to stay alive as long as possible while slaying others.

During the event, you will also find WoW SoD Blood Moon altars scattered around the map. This is the place where you can exchange this buff to obtain the event-specific currencies, such as:

1. Copper Massacre Coin
2. Silver Massacre Coin
3. Gold Massacre Coin

These WoW SoD Blood Moon altar locations are marked by red flags on your map. Beware when making your way there, as other players will try to stop you. To learn about the exchange rates, keep reading further.

You get the exact same number of Copper Massacre Coins for your Blood for the Blood Loa buff. Then, you need to collect x100 Copper Massacre Coin to exchange it for x1 Silver Blood Coin. In case you die, you get the Drained of Blood debuff. It makes you temporarily immune to incoming attacks. However, you will not be able to cast spells or attack as well. The WoW SoD Blood Moon timer is tied to server time. You can take part in this activity every three hours. It lasts for 30 minutes and you get a notification when it starts. The first battle happens at 12:00 AM server time with other Blood Moon times being the following:

• 9:00 AM
• 12:00 PM
• 3:00 PM

• 9:00 PM

How to Participate in Blood Moon

Unlike is the case with other events, you do not need to do anything particular to participate in Blood Moon. The activity begins automatically every 3 hours. How to Opt Out of Blood Moon

In case you do not like PvP, you might wonder how to opt out of the Blood Moon event. This can be done if you speak to a Zandalarian Emissary. After speaking to this NPC, you will gain the Zandalari Ward buff. It protects you from being attacked by the members of your own faction. However, players from the opposite faction will be able to attack you as usual.

Who is Kha’damu in Blood Moon

When wandering around Stranglethorn Vale during the event, you can encounter Kha’damu. Like everyone else, this is a hostile NPC. Do not let him get too close to you, or you may be one-shotted. If you get killed by him, you will experience the WoW SoD Blood Moon Bruised debuff. But who is Kha’damu in Blood Moon, and what is his purpose? Depending on how close you are to Kha’damu, you get one of the two buffs from the list:

• Kill, Maim, Bleed! when near him
• Feast of Blood when very close to him
