Enchanting has always been one of the major professions. It is closely linked with all other professions and allows enchanters to improve other players’ gear. Doing so grants additional stats or even unusual effects. The demand for Enchanting grows higher as you progress further in the game as many raiders and Mythic+ players will be greatly interested in your services.
As you probably already know, all WoW Dragonflight professions, including Enchanting, have been dramatically changed, but we cannot tell exactly whether or not these updates are beneficial. We do know one thing for certain though– professions have become more in-depth and realistic. For starters, every single profession now has different specializations. Some have four, while others only have three. Enchanting, for example, has three specs to choose from.
Like any other crafting profession, the list of Enchanting recipes has been significantly enlarged. Enchanters now have a choice between so-called standard Enchanting and improved Enchanting. The latter requires more resources but provides more powerful effects. Not to mention the fact you can enchant nearly any piece of equipment in the game.
That being said, you now understand why Enchanting is going to play a huge role in Dragonflight. Down below, we will specify what items you can enchant exactly. On top of it, enchanters can create high-rank wands and various cosmetics for players, and the latter can also be applied to other weapons and armor pieces as well.
At the same time, Enchanting is not connected with the new Item Quality implementation like other crafting professions. All the basic materials you are going to use to create enchantments have no quality levels. However, the items you create will have a quality level.
Just like with Inscription, enchanters’ services are indispensable. Everything you create and sell will be in high demand at the Auction House. In the upcoming expansion, there will also be a system where you can execute other players’ orders for a fee.
This is another alternative to how crafting-oriented professions can make some shiny coins. The whole auction system has become a bit outdated and the game’s developers have considered implementing a more player-interlinked mechanic.
In the previous patches, many players considered Enchanting a pretty straightforward and easy-to-master profession. This changes in Dragonflight though, all thanks to the numerous specializations and options you can choose from to develop your character.
In our WoW Dragonflight Enchanting leveling guide, we will cover the best ways to achieve levels 50-55 in the shortest time possible. We will also talk about the most interesting recipes that will be in great demand. Some of them are so rare that most veteran players will gladly pay you for everything you craft.

Before plunging into the world of enchants and magic, we would like to share with you a way to ease your journey around the Dragon Isles. It would be foolish to deny the importance of raids in the game and how much they influence your equipment quality. To complete one raiding session, you usually need around 3-4 hours. That is quite a while, right?

- Enchanted Aspect's Dreaming Crest drops in Emerald Dream;
- Dreaming Devotion drops from Larodar, Keeper of the Flame;

Enchanting Applications and Benefits
As we have mentioned earlier, Enchanting has always been closely interlinked with other professions. This tendency has become more visible in Dragonflight with three specs at our disposal. To create powerful and rare items, you will need to choose one and master it.
The best category of items you can offer to other players is all types of enchantments. They can be easily sold no matter at what stage of the game you currently are. By using these two tools efficiently, you can earn a lot of gold while playing as an enchanter. Here is a brief list of what enchants you can create in particular:
- Cloak Enchantments are used to increase cloaks’ stats or apply unusual effects to them. Your enchants’ basic versions grant additional Avoidance, Leech, or Speed bonuses. Your enchants’ improved versions grant the same bonuses, but with additional effects on top of them. They are reduced fall damage, increased heal, and reduced cooldown of your Hearthstone. The latter effect only works while you are traveling around the Dragon Isles;
- Chest Enchantments are used to increase chest pieces’ stats or apply unusual effects to them. Your enchants grant additional effects of your choice. Agility-oriented classes would prefer additional Agility and increased Speed. Those who consider themselves magicians would rather opt for extra Intellect and an increased Mana Pool. Finally, those who rely on pure power would choose additional Strength and increased Stamina. If you want a bit of everything, there is a special enchant that increases all primary stats;
- Bracer Enchantments are used to increase bracers’ stats or apply unusual effects to them. Your enchants’ basic versions grant additional Avoidance, Leech, or Speed bonuses. The improved versions of your enchants grant the same bonuses, but they become better;
- Boot Enchantments are used to increase boots’ stats or apply unusual effects to them. Your enchants grant additional effect of your choice. They can be Speed boost, Mount Speed boost, or increased Stamina;
- Ring Enchantments are used to increase rings’ stats or apply unusual effects to them. Your enchants’ basic versions grant increased Critical Strike, Versatility, Mastery, or Haste bonuses. Your enchants’ improved versions grant the same bonuses, but much better;
- Weapon Enchantments are used to increase weapons’ stats or apply unusual effects to them. Your enchants’ basic versions increase Haste, Versatility, Mastery, Critical Strike, or primary stats in general. Your enchants’ improved versions grant the same bonuses, but with additional effects on top of them. The additional effects allow you to deal extra elemental damage depending on what natural element (Fire, Earth, Frost, Air) you choose to empower your weapon with. Those enchants, just like other permanent enchants, do not stack up;
- Profession Tool Enchantments are used to increase profession tools’ stats or apply unusual effects to them. Your enchants grant extra Deftness, Finesse, Inspiration, Perception, or Resourcefulness to the chosen item. Those bonuses are especially useful for crafting professions, as they allow them to create more powerful items;
- Rods and Wands are the weapons only you can create. As for now, it is not quite clear whether they are going to be strong enough. Time will show whether there is going to be demand for them;
- Illusory Goods are basically the Tombs of Illusion that we had back in WoW: Legion. They provide you with weapon enchantments. In Dragonflight, we have five of them to choose from. The same goes for shoulder enchantments. On top of it, we have five of them for our wands.
- Magical Merchandise allows you to summon and unsummon a pet. Despite being BoP (bind on pick up), this item can be crafted and sold to others. For that, you just need to use the mechanic allowing you to execute orders for other players and get paid. In this case, you do not create the item for yourself, but rather for another person meaning it does not belong to you.
As you can see, playing as an enchanter is all about versatility and being helpful to others. Just like scribes, enchanters are extremely powerful when playing in a group of reliable people. You can be of great use to your friends and guild members. Undoubtedly, all of them will appreciate your services and skills.
To become a more successful enchanter, you need to pick the right spec to master first. This directly influences how much gold you can make. Further in our Enchanting leveling guide, we will describe all the available specializations. This will help you decide what sphere you want to focus on. BLOG20
General Enchanting Changes in Dragonflight
The game’s developers have implemented so many changes concerning professions and the way they work. Most of these updates seem useful and look game-changing in a way. Starting with Dragonflight, everything we knew about professions from previous expansions will be gone. For example, even the professions’ icons and in-game interface have been redesigned. It is worth mentioning that the interface has become more convenient and player-friendly.
Moving forward, all professions have gotten a bit more realistic. The game’s creators have decided that our characters should wear special gear depending on their profession. This equipment is not just a fancy set of items as it grants extra bonuses and makes you a better artisan at your sphere. Speaking of Enchanting, your gear includes a wizard hat, enchanting rod, and unusual gauntlets.
Returning to the specialization system, this is another part of making the game realistic-like. No matter what talent tree you decide to master, it will influence your game style directly. In the long run, you can try to become a specialist in all three branches. However, you will need to try really hard to achieve this. In fact, it is so difficult to do, that it would be a better idea to create an alt, each specializing in a different branch of Enchanting.

As we have promised in our Dragonflight Enchanting guide, we will provide an overview of all the specs currently available. Nonetheless, it is impossible to tell exactly which branch will be in the highest demand. To find which one is best for you, you will need to monitor the market and see what items players require the most. After that, you can consult with your friends or guild members and ask for their advice. Only then should you start mastering a particular spec.
Finally, we want to pay specific attention to the Crafting Orders feature. Playing as an enchanter, you can get the maximum out of this system. Your primary goal is to get as many orders as possible. Then, you can create the requested enchants and get paid. Your main category of clients will be higher-leveled players. Those who often go raiding will definitely need your enchants to empower their equipment.
We have already discussed raids and how important they are. It is time to say a few words about dungeons. We all love this part of the game, but it can be particularly difficult to find a group of five skillful players. Every one of us though wants to have the top-rank loot that is usually the main dungeon’s reward.
To get it in all cases, you can buy our Mythic Carry services. By doing so, you can be sure our professional players will complete any dungeon for you. The only thing you have left to do is to enjoy your rewards. We guarantee you the best loot and gear possible. Check our prices and available options to see what suits you best.
Gaining Maximum Profit with the Auction House
This is a time-tested and reliable method to earn some extra shiny coins. Playing as any crafter, like an enchanter, for example, is the easiest way to get rich. On top of it, your enchantments are always in great demand. You can, of course, sell them at any level, but they become highly sought-after in the late game.
Besides, you may want to buy some consumables or equipment from the market if it is necessary. Just make sure to check the prices before buying anything. Here is what the whole trading process looks like:
- Opening the Auction House tab, there is a list of all the items sold on your server. Speaking of the Dragonflight expansion’s launch, the prices will be absolutely inflated. It is connected with the fact that everyone wants to get as maximum gold as possible. Therefore, you better wait for a while before buying anything for a high price.
- Playing as an enchanter, you should aim to sell items instead of buying them. Though, there can be a situation when you spot a decent reagent inserted in an item. In this case, you can buy it, disenchant it, and then use it for your needs. To further cut down your expenses, combine Enchanting with a gathering profession like Herbalism. Finding a specific item for free is always better than buying it for gold.
- Trading is not always about big sales or buys. If you have nothing to offer or do not need anything at the moment, you can try the following trick. Just find an item that has a highly-volatile price. Buy it at its lowest price and wait for it to raise in cost. Doing so several times, you will earn a bunch of gold and lose no resources.
Playing as an enchanter, you have a lot of ways to make extra gold. Just constantly monitor the market and check what players need. Catching the right moment can help you make a fortune, especially after the expansion’s launch. Luckily, enchants never lose their popularity, and are highly sought-after as you progress in the game.
The Crafting Orders System In A Nutshell
Just like the Auction House, this is another great method to earn a penny. If you are playing as a crafter, for example, an enchanter, your services will be in high demand for sure. At the same time, you will need certain items that only other professions can make. By completing other players’ orders, you not only charge a fee for this, but you also progress further in your specialization.
This can be the best way to level Enchanting in WoW Dragonflight for some people. If you are lucky with the orders, you will get the First Craft Bonus every time you complete an order. Doing so, you get Artisan’s Mettle and Knowledge Points, both of which are necessary to master your profession’s specs.
Being an enchanter, you will sell Profession Tool Enchantments often. On top of that, your armor enchants will also be in high demand. The best thing about it is that the demand will only grow as you level up further.
If you lack certain items and are ready to spend a few coins to buy them, you should know how to create your own order. The most important thing here is to make it visible to the group of people you want it to be seen by:
- A particular person;
- Everyone on the server;
- Your guild members only;
- Your friends only.
The first option is good when you already know a person who can handle your order in the shortest time. If you have not found such a person yet, you can make your order seen by everybody. At the same time, if your guild members or friends can help you complete the order faster, you can safely trust this work to them.
After the expansion’s launch, you will have to spend a lot of gold if you wish to level up and be ahead of others. If you are not sure about how much you will be able to spend, you can create a rainy-day fund. Buying WoW Gold with our company’s help, you can surely buy any in-game items you need. This is a completely safe and reliable way to get some extra currency. Prepare for the expansion in advance to be the best.
The Knowledge Points Mechanic Explained
In our Dragonflight Enchanting overview, we have briefly mentioned the Knowledge Points feature. It is directly connected with the newly-implemented specialization system. Those points are used to master a particular spec tree of your choice. By getting it to the cap, you become an absolute specialist in a specific sphere. This allows you to create rarer items of better quality.
Playing as an enchanter, you mainly need to focus on crafting higher-level enchantments for armor and weapons. Aside from this, you may consider learning more about rods and wands, but enchantments should be your primary concern.
By learning more about enchants, you can not only earn more gold yet be of maximum use to your friends and guild members. You definitely wonder what spec you should start mastering first. Even though there is no certain answer, we will try to cover this topic further in our Dragonflight Enchanting leveling instruction. We will also share a few builds that look quite promising from our point of view. Make sure to stay with us and read the guide till the end.
Returning to the Knowledge Points mechanic, let us speak more about how to get those precious points. By getting the maximum amount of them, you can stay ahead of others players. Consequently, you can create better and more expensive things to sell at the Auction House. This is what you should do to get some extra points:
- Traveling around the Dragon Isles, you will undoubtedly visit Valdrakken, the biggest settlement. There, you should go to Thaldraszus and find an NPC whose name is Rabul. This is not just a random vendor, he is a unique one. This stranger has a lot to offer, but we are mainly interested in Dusty Enchanter’s Research. Buying this item provides you with 15 points. Though, you can only do it thrice and need to put some effort to succeed in it.
- Buying this item for the first time requires you to have 100 Artisan’s Mettle and more than 25 skill points in Enchanting. You get this mettle for crafting new items for the first time and mastering your profession as a whole.
- Buying this item for the second time requires you to have 200 Artisan’s Mettle. On top of it, you need to establish a valued reputation with the Artisan’s Consortium. Otherwise, you cannot get access to the second purchase.
- Buying this item for the third time requires you to have 300 Artisan’s Mettle. Besides, you need to establish an esteemed reputation with the Artisan’s Consortium. Otherwise, you cannot get access to the third purchase. - Speaking of an easier yet more randomized way to get those points. You may be lucky to find a Dragon Shard of Knowledge while exploring the Dragon Isles. You should take it, but do not keep it. You should return this item to Khadin, the Master Artisan, who is found in Ohn’aran Plains. As an expression of his gratitude, he will reward you with a bunch of those points.
- Thanks to our WoW Enchanting guide, you already know about the First Craft Bonus mechanic. In fact, it is one of the most efficient and reliable ways to get Knowledge Points. It works quite simply and straightforwardly. You just need to craft new items as often as possible. Every time you do this, you get one point for each successful craft. This only procs once for each recipe.
- Playing as an enchanter, you have a lot of options to choose from. Taking your basic and improved enchantment versions as an example. On top of it, you can combine this with the system that allows you to execute orders for other people and earn points for this.
- Finally, there is no more satisfying thing in WoW than completing quests. The game’s creators have decided to add a weekly quest, which guarantees those points for completing it. You can take it from a trainer located in Valdrakken. Do not forget to do so once a week. Besides, it is the only source of points that can be called infinite.
We hope the game’s developers will add more methods to earn those points. Nonetheless, there are already enough of them to master a particular spec branch of your choice. Make sure to take some time and learn the market’s needs. Wasting those points in vain can lead to really awful consequences. It is better to consult with your friends or guild members to decide what things can be the most helpful.
If you cannot decide what spec you want to learn, you can create a few characters, all of them mastering Enchanting. In this case, you do not have to make any choice and take the best of them all. However, you need to put in a lot of time to achieve this. If you are not ready for this, you can Buy WoW Boost from our company. This is an easy and reliable way to have as many alts as you want, all leveled up. Check out our prices and current plans available to see how we can help save your time.
Enchanting Specs: Everything You Need to Know
Let us discuss the most game-changing mechanic implemented in the Dragonflight expansion. Specializations directly influence your playing style, as they make you a narrowly focused artisan. Speaking of Enchanting in particular, you specialize in creating various enchants. Other talent trees are not that important and are not really popular among other players.
Learning all three specs is possible, but you will need quite a bunch of Knowledge Points. Instead of this, you should rather choose one branch and master it completely. Before doing so, make sure to see whether your offer is actually in high demand. In all other cases, you cannot sell it for a decent price even after the expansion’s launch.
Luckily, enchanters have little chance of getting into a situation like this. Enchantments are highly sought-after, especially among top-rank players. So, make sure to wait for a while before spending any points to learn a particular spec. You may want to invest them into a different tree.
You can open the first spec when you hit level 25. Despite having a huge desire to spend all the points you have by this moment, take it slowly. There will be a lot of things influencing your choice. Here, we also share all the details concerning the Enchanting profession.
To understand the way specializations work better, you should learn more about crafting-specific stats. Those can be attached to the items you craft. Here is how they look and influence your profession activity:
- Resourcefulness increases your chance to use fewer reagents than the recipe requires;
- Crafting Speed is pretty self-explanatory, as it increases your crafting speed by a certain %;
- Inspiration increases the chance to acquire a bonus skill that can be attached to the item you craft;
- Multicraft increases the chance to create several of the same items requiring no additional resources for that.
Knowing the strong sides of these stats makes it easier for you to decide what talent tree to learn first. As an enchanter, you definitely want to have the increased Multicraft bonus since you can have a chance of getting free enchants. Consequently, you get them at no cost, but sell them for a decent price on the market.
Enchantment Specialization
The first spec tree is all about, as you can judge by the name, enchanting. This is probably the most widespread spec of all three. It deals with enchanting combat and professional gear. Mastering this branch also provides you with a ton of additional Resourcefulness, Inspiration, and Skill.

As you can see, all those talents are about making your weapon empowered. They not only make it more powerful, but also grant unusual effects. This branch has always been in high demand and that is unlikely to change in Dragonflight.
- Magical Reinforcement (you can spend up to 30 points mastering it) is devoted to armor enchants (e.g. chest pieces, rings, and so on). Spending one of those valuable points we discussed above grants you an additional score of Skill every time. Learning this spec to the cap, you get access to all sub-specs available in this branch. As an extra bonus, all your Adaptive crafts become 10% faster.
Unlike the previous branch, this one is more armor-oriented. Focus on both of these talent trees will make you a true equipment-enchant artisan. Further in our guide, we will describe one build that combines the best of these branches. It will definitely be one of the most popular ones when the expansion goes live.
Insight of the Blue Specialization
The second spec tree is all about disenchanting and extracting the strongest effects from gear. It will teach you how to get more resources from the disenchanted equipment for free. Mastering this branch also provides you with a ton of additional Resourcefulness, Inspiration, and Skill.
- Insight of the Blue (you can spend up to 50 points mastering it) is where you begin. Spending one of those valuable points we discussed above grants you an additional score of Skill every time. Besides, it increases your overall crafting stats providing you with +25 Skill. The best bonus is that you get a +15% chance to get extra reagents when disenchanting things. - Primal Extraction (you can spend up to 40 points mastering it) is all about getting more Rousing elements and reagents. To unlock it, you need to have 10 or more points spent in the main spec. It also grants you a +1% chance to get additional reagents and elements when disenchanting for each point invested, and increases your overall crafting stats, providing you with +10 Skill and +20 Inspiration. On top of that, you learn how to summon a Sophic Amalgamation, a new Dragon Isles pet. As an extra bonus, you can get a short stat boost by destroying Awakened elements all thanks to the Elemental Shatter ability.
Combining this talent branch with the previous one, you can get a lot of reagents to attach to weapons and armor. Maxing this spec in particular is not the best idea. Though, we have a build that is all about disenchanting which we will share further in our guide.
Rods, Runes, and Ruses Specialization
The third spec tree is all about crafting profession tools and weapons. This branch will teach you how to create various Rods, Scepters, and Illusions. Mastering this branch also provides you with a ton of additional Resourcefulness, Inspiration, and Skill.
- Rods, Runes, and Ruses (you can spend up to 40 points mastering it) is where you start. Spending one of those valuable points we discussed above grants you an additional score of Skill every time. Mastering this spec to the cap, you get access to all sub-specs available in this branch. It also improves your overall crafting stats making you a proficient enchanter and providing you with +15 Skill. On top of that, your Enchanting crafts become 20% faster.

- Inspired Devotion (you can spend up to 30 points mastering it) is all about magical enchants. To unlock it, you need to have 10 or more points spent in the main spec. It also grants you an additional score of Resourcefulness for each point invested, and increases your overall crafting stats, providing you with +15 Skill and +10 Inspiration. On top of that, you get up to 50% extra Skill when creating enchants and related goods.
To be honest, this is not the most widespread talent tree. Its application field is too narrow and you are not likely to earn a lot of gold specializing in this sphere only. However, we still have a build to share with you if you wish to try it in the game.
Enchanting Specializations: General Details
Keep in mind that you will not get access to the specialization tab until you reach level 25 in your profession. Further in our guide, we will share a few tips on how to level Enchanting fast in WoW Dragonflight. Before you unlock this tab, you have quite a lot of time to consider what specialization you like most. Besides, you should monitor the market needs to understand what can bring you maximum gold. Here is the whole path you need to go through to unlock all three specs:
- Achieving level 25 unlocks the first spec branch;
- Achieving level 50 unlocks the second spec branch;
- Achieving level 100 unlocks the third spec branch.
There is no certain answer to the question of what specialization suits you best. It depends on many factors including the market’s state. As an enchanter, you need to focus your attention on high-level players. They already have decent equipment that is worth being enchanted. Though, your services will be of great use at low levels as well.
Before investing all your sacred Knowledge Points in one particular talent tree, take your time and think over all possible options. Consulting with your friends or guild members can be a good idea. Even if you do not make a fortune selling your items at the Auction House, they will still be needed somewhere else.
The Secrets of Leveling Up Enchanting in Dragonflight
Here we want to share an approximate list of items needed to create to hit level 55 in Enchanting. That is an extremely important point since it will help you be ahead of other players once the expansion goes out. The key to dominating the market is to offer the best items of the highest quality.
Reaching those levels will give you an opportunity to learn two specs at the same time. Unfortunately, you are not likely to hit the 100-level cap, as your profession trainer only teaches you the recipes until a certain level. To keep moving further, you have to do it on your own by creating items for other players and selling them. Another way out is to complete private orders by using the newly-implemented system. Combining both of these methods would be even better.
You can remember those times from the previous expansions when it was enough to find a cheap item and mass-produce it until you hit the cap. That is no longer an option, as the game’s developers have changed the way professions work. By adding those Knowledge Points, any profession itself is no longer that useful. To unlock its full potential, you need to put in a lot of points in particular specs. That is why getting your character to level 55 is already quite challenging. Here is our table that can help you do this:

Unlike Inscription, Enchanting is relatively easy to level up. Still, it takes some time to find all the required resources. To do this quicker, you can buy them from the market. However, it may cost a fortune, especially if we are talking about the expansion’s launch in particular.
Combining Enchanting with a gathering profession like Herbalism can ease your path to level 55. After all, gathered herbs will always be in demand among players who are into Alchemy or Inscription.

Enchanting Trainers in Dragonflight
Master Enchanting or any other profession is impossible without trainers. They are your key to becoming a skillful artisan. With their help, you can learn new abilities and skills. On top of it, they teach you the recipes required to achieve level 55. Playing as an enchanter, you can find them in the following places:
- Veeno is located in Wingrest Embassy in the Waking Shores;
- Solonga is located in Ohn’iri Springs in Ohn’ahran Plains;
- Enchanted Book is located in Rhonin’s Shield in the Azure Span;
- Soragosa is located in the market of Valdrakken in Thaldraszus.
Visiting the trainers from time to time will make you better at Enchanting as it allows you to create top-ranked enchants and rare equipment.
Enchanting Build Varieties
Finally, we are sharing possible Enchanting builds. There is no perfect choice, as each build makes you sacrifice something to gain another. Trying every one of them will give you a better understanding of what you want to learn. All of the builds are different and make you play accordingly.
Disenchanting Build
The main purpose of this build is to gain as many resources as possible when disenchanting things. You will focus your attention on the Insight of the Blue specialization. Your primary activities will be disenchanting and finding items with the best unusual effects. This is how your leveling path should look:
- Put 10 points into Insight of the Blue to unlock an ability to learn a sub-spec;
- Start mastering Draconic Disenchantment, which increases your chance to get extra resources when disenchanting items;
- Maxing it to the cap is not necessary unless you want to specialize in disenchanting only.
Enchanting Build
This is definitely the most widespread build of all others. It is connected with enchanting armor and weapons. People who choose this path are more likely to earn tons of gold. Besides, you will be of great use to high-rank players. This is how your leveling path should look:
- Put 10 points into Enchantment to unlock an ability to learn a sub-spec;
- Here, you have a choice of whether you want to master weapon enchantments or armor ones;
- No matter what branch you choose, you can create powerful enchants that are always in demand.
It will become clearer what branch is better to go for. As for now, they both look equally powerful and necessary. Once the expansion goes out, the market will show the statistics.
Mixed Build
If you have gone all through our leveling table, you can get to level 55 for sure. In this case, you have access to two specs at the same time. It means you now can get the best out of the Insight of the Blue and the Enchantment specs. Your primary activities will be gaining maximum resources and then enchanting armor or weapons with the most powerful effects.
There is no particular leveling path, as you can decide yourself, which spec to learn first. After all, it wholly depends on how the trading system functions between players. It can be quite unpredictable, so you have to monitor the situation all the time.
Worth-to-Try Build
As we have promised, this build is oriented at your third specialization. This is not the most common choice, as all the wands and tools you create are not in the highest demand. You basically play around creating gear for others and selling it in the long run. On top of it, this build significantly increases your enchanting speed. Consider combining it with the Enchanting talent tree and it might work better.
