Grandmaster Nightfalls
Destiny 2 Grandmaster Nightfalls are some of the most challenging endgame activities. They feature a new set of modifiers that make it more difficult than the regular Nightfalls. Then, there are Adept weapons, which can be obtained by completing Grandmaster Nightfalls.
What are the Grandmaster Nightfalls?
Destiny Grandmaster Nightfall is a race against the clock, so you will need to be fast and efficient in order to complete it. You will also need a fireteam of three players. It is recommended that you have a mix of elements and subclasses. In addition, you will need to be aware of the new modifiers and how they affect the Nightfall. Be sure to use your abilities and weapons wisely to overcome the challenges.
The Grandmaster Nightfall also features Adept weapons. These weapons are more powerful versions of existing weapons, and there are only a few ways to get them.
How Grandmaster Nightfalls Work
The challenge does not have a matchmaking system, so the players will need to pre-queue unless they want to run the mission solo.
In each Nightfall, a fireteam goes through a specific path. Along the path, the team will encounter various enemies and complete objectives. Each objective takes you closer to the final boss.
On other Nightfall difficulties, you can usually change your loadout mid-mission; however, when starting the Grandmaster Nightfall, your gear and loadout are locked.
Although the Nightfall strike can be played solo, this would be extremely difficult with the Grandmaster mode enabled.
Let's not forget about the Champions, who will appear to have the highest difficulties. There are three champion types, and only two of them usually appear in the Nightfall (which ones you face are decided from the base strike). The Champions cannot be defeated without any of the respective weapon types, which are rotated seasonally with some exceptions.
Grandmaster Nightfall Rewards
The GM Nightfall carry is a desirable option to look into because of the rewards you can get.
However, before making the decision to buy the Grandmaster Carry Destiny 2, you may want to know what rewards there are. And there are many! Besides Adept weapons that await you for completing the Grandmaster Nightfalls, you will also get:
- Unique Nightfall gear;
- Pinnacles;
- Ascendant Shards.
Ascendant Shards are used to upgrade your armor to the maximum efficiency. They are exceptionally rare and important.
Finally, you will also earn a Triumph for each of the Grandmaster Nightfalls, which will result in obtaining a title: “Conqueror”.
Grandmaster Nightfall Rotation
For example, if this week's Grandmaster Nightfall is HyperNet Current, the next one will be Battleground Mars.
- HyperNet Current
- Battleground Mars
- Battleground Cosmodrome
- Lake of Shadows
- Battleground Moon
- The Scarlet Keep
- The Insight Terminus
- Warden of Nothing
- Sunless Cell
