Sorceress, along with other classes, uses a new, secondary resource called Spirit that is used to sustain ongoing effects like Arctic Armor, different auras, minions, etc. You’ll start with a maximum amount of 100 Spirit. This number can be increased by unlocking specific nodes from the passive tree or by finding some mods. This basic rotation allows you to handle early-game mobs and mini-bosses efficiently. You don't need to unlock additional level 1 skills immediately—focus on improving these core abilities and managing your mana wisely.

With careful positioning, strategic dodging, and consistent use of this combo, you’ll navigate the early game challenges and set the stage for the Sorceress's devastating power in later acts.

Sorceress Best Builds

It is too early to make any prediction about the Path of Exile 2 Sorceress best builds. The game isn’t even in the beta state as of writing this guide. However, it is already pretty clear how the builds will work.

It seems that builds are becoming more complex and varied thanks to the ability to switch between different active and passive skills by switching to a different weapon set. It’s also possible to choose which weapon is used to cast a specific skill. All of this means that you will base your builds on the bonuses your current weapons have. As shown in the gameplay demo, Sorceress can easily specialize in both cold and lightning damage by having two weapons that provide bosses to one of the two damage types. This enables you to have more varied skill gems and twice as many Path of Exile 2 Sorceress passives unlocked on the passive skill tree.

Sorceress Tips and Tricks

 

Sorceress is a glass cannon, but thanks to dynamic weapon and skills switching, you can increase the build’s damage output and survivability. Here are just a few PoE 2 Sorceress tips that you, as a new player or a PoE 1 veteran, should keep in mind:

• Select which weapon is used to cast a skill – in the skills menu, you can select which weapon is used to cast a skill. This is super important since different weapons provide bonuses for different types of skills or damage types. Just tick or untick a weapon set (primary or secondary) a skill will use when it is cast for maximum effectiveness.
• Select Weapon Set Passives – you can switch between different unlocked nodes in the passive tree by switching between your weapons. Each weapon gets a few points to spend on unlocking passives. So, you can unlock different passives for each weapon and switch between them on the fly!
