This meta Hunter Prismatic build Destiny 2 is easy to make but pretty hard to get its best version. We’ll start with everything that makes this build and explain each choice. First, we’re going to talk about the Prismatic Super and its abilities.

Super

Silence and Squall – lets you silence, slow, and freeze targets, which is the kind of effect that we’ll need for this build to work. You’ll see why when we get to explaining the fragments.

Abilities

1. Gambler’s Dodge - if you dodge near an enemy, you will recharge your melee ability
2. Triple Jump – the jump ability is optional, but the third jump is super easy to use, especially when you’re raiding and running through some jumping puzzles.
3. Combination Blow - this is one of the most important components of this build. When defeating targets with this ability, it also fully refills your class ability energy and restores a small amount of health.
4. Grapple - not only is this one of the best ways to get around but killing an enemy with the grapple melee activates all of the exotic class item effects and combos of this build.

3. Facet of Ruin - when you explode frozen targets, it deals more AoE damage. The same goes for Solar ignitions (comes from exotic class items)
4. Facet of Blessing - for health regeneration on melee kills
5. Facet of Purpose - gives you a bunch of buffs when you pick up an Orb of Power.

While this isn’t the best Hunter Prismatic PvP build Destiny 2, in PvE, this build is a beast! Gambler’s Dodge and Combination Blow recharge each other. Dodge, when performed while surrounded by enemies, applies a bunch of effects - you go invisible, slow down enemies, etc. All of this makes you safe to use your melee. Best Hunter Exotic Armor in Destiny 2

There’s one exotic that brings all of these elements together and makes this entire best Hunter Prismatic PvE build Destiny 2 work – the Hunger’s Exotic cape - Relativism. Now, you need a specific roll with two armor:

1. Spirit of the Liar - allows you to use a counterattack Arc melee that is much more powerful than a regular melee attack. With this combination of subclass fragments, aspects, and abilities, these counterattacks will decimate and one-shot any enemy except bosses (of course).
2. Spirit of Caliban - when your melee triggers an ignition, the Facet of Ruin Fragment adds the AoE effect, which will explode the enemies around you!

With these two perks, you’re not just using a melee-focused build anymore. You’re now a walking bomb. Because counterpunches from the Spirit of the Liar count as powered melee attacks, both perks make this build absolutely broken in terms of DPS. If you’re being unlucky with the rolls of Relativism, you can replace it with the Liar’s Handshake exotic gauntlets. You won’t get the benefit of the second perk that gives you those insane AoE explosions, but since this is one of the top Hunter Prismatic builds Destiny 2, it will still work without them.

Weapons for the Best Hunter Build

While weapons are way less essential for this build, you can already imagine what kind of weapon traits this build will benefit from. So, if you want to go all in, then we recommend a shotgun with the One-Two Punch that gives you even more melee damage, so much so that you can one-shot kill a mini-boss!

If you want extra mobility, then grab a sword with the Eager Edge trait that gives you increased lunge distance when you switch to it. Otherwise, grab your favorite grenade launcher for even more explosions and add-clearing!

Armor Mods

Disregarding armor mods is a big mistake, but if you’re new to the game, it can be daunting to figure out how to use them and which ones you should equip. For this build, you’ll need these mods (hover over or click on the mods to read what they do):

The last mod for your class item could be a “Special Finisher” that gives you Special ammo on melee kills because sooner or later, you’re going to run out of shotgun ammo, and this is just so that you don’t have to panic when that happens. Otherwise, you could go with any other Armor Charge mod that you like.

Artifact Perks

There are some crucial Artifact perks that you need to get for this build:

• Radiant Orbs - picking up Orbs of Power will make you radiant.
• Galvanic Armor - reduces damage when you’re Amplified.
• Shieldcrush -  when you’re amplified or radiant, your grenade recharges faster.

The rest of the perks can be chosen based on personal preferences; however, these 3 are a must.
