Getting The Brave Title
To claim the Brave title all you gotta do is complete 10 triumphs, each of which will have you partake in various activities. None of them are particularly challenging, but they will take some time to get done. There’s one hidden triumph that’s not listed in the titles collection menus with the rest of them, but we’re going to list it anyway. Let’s go over each one.
Triumph #1: Lord of Reputation
Let’s start off our Brave title guide with something more or less simple. You need to achieve the highest reputation level with Lord Shaxx. This can be done by doing one of the following:
- Completing Bounties - Onslaught bounties award bonus reputation upon completion. Both Shaxx and Arcite 99-40 has bounties that increase Shaxx’s rep.
- Play Onslaught - even without bounties, you’ll be accumulating the reputation by simply playing and winning in these activities.
- Weekly Rotator Bonus - there might be a week when one of the game modes gets a bonus to reputation gains from specific playlists throughout the week.
Even though Shaxx also hosts The Crucible, it would appear that his reputation can only be increased through Onslaught specifically.
Triumph #2: Breaking the Charge
You must kill all three bosses hidden in Onslaught. Whichever boss you’ll face changes every week, so you won’t be able to do it in one week. These bosses are:
- Fieldrazer Tormentor
- Siegehook Ogre
- Fallen Warpriest
In other words, you must play this game mode in a specific way to activate the boss encounter for the Brave title getting. The first boss can only be activated if you play the 50-wave version of Onslaught. BLOG20
Triumph #3: Not on Your Watch
For this one you have to withstand the set of the 5th wave on the normal difficulty of Onslaught. The 5th wave features several types of pretty strong enemies, but it should be pretty manageable on such difficulty.
Triumph #4: Triumphant Whisper
This Triumph will have you play something other than the Onslaught. You have to complete the Whisper exotic mission. We have a full walkthrough guide for this mission. In short, it consists of a set of jumping puzzles and a pretty big battle at the end where you’ll have to fight 3 bosses at the same time. Just hop in, fight into the deep depths of IO, and take down a Taken Blight to earn yourself this Tirumph and the craftable version of the exotic sniper Whisper of the Worm.

Triumph #5: Grimoire Gatherer VIII
Collect a Grimoire card about Empress Caiatl. Inside the Hall of Champions there are rooms on the either sides of the hall. Each week you’ll get a new Into the Light seasonal quest line to work through, completing which will unlock you the Griumoire card. The final card is about Empress Caiatl, so it’s another time-gated Triumph.

Triumph #6: So Many Waves
A triumph that consists of 4 parts where you need to survive various amounts of waves in Onslaught. One bar of this challenge is completed after surviving 50 waves, therefore the total amount of waves you must endure is 200.
Triumph #7: Trying to Budget
This challenge requires you to purchase defenses, which is a bit of a competitive thing to do. Because doing it is something that everyone can do and if someone does that, the pricing of scraps obtained from the mode goes up. This means that you’ll get less per match if you don’t go for them immediately. In total, you must purchase around 20 defenses, which is not a lot. Upgrading a defense counts as a purchase as well.
Triumph #8: BRAVE Weaponsmaster
For this one you simply have to kill enemies using Brave weapons. This does not require you to use the shiny versions that you get from quests. Just use any Brave weapon you get and kill some enemies with it. Pretty simple.
Triumph #9: BRAVE Collector
For this challenge you will have to tackle all BRAVE weapons quests. These will be rotating, dropping on a consistent basis with every weapon quest of the 12 releasing by April 30th 2024. The BRAVE weapons that you’ll get from one of the activities won’t start the quest. The quests that you complete will unlock the Shiny versions of those weapons.
Hidden Triumph #10: Triumphant Outbreak
For this one you have to complete the second exotic mission - Zero Hour. This mission will become available on May 14th, 2024. So, all you have to do is hop in around that time and weave around the insanely scary robot killing machine Trevor and take down the new threat to earn the craftable version of the exotic weapon called Outbreak Perfected.

Conclusion
This seal has a few time-gated challenges that will make you come back to the game either once every week when the game modes refresh or wait until the next update that unlocks access to another exotic mission. Either way, this seal is a bit easier compared to seals from DLCs in the past. That’s because the devs are catering to all players, whether harcore or New Light newbies.
