Horrific Visions Revisited Launch Date
The official Horrific Vision Revisited launch date is May 20, starting with another weekly reset. We hope you had enough time to get ready for the event. It was announced together with the Patch 11.1.5 release back in April 2025.
These revamped visions don’t have a set end date yet, but some gear loses power at Season 2’s close. This means that the content likely stays active through Patch 11.1.7 as well. The same can be said about rewards that remain useful until Season 2 ends.
Horrific Visions Revisited Overview
Horrific Visions in WoW TWW return with a fresh design built for solo and small group play. You explore corrupted versions of Stormwind and Orgrimmar while managing a Sanity meter. The further you push, the greater the danger and the rewards. There’s no need for keys or vessels anymore. You can jump into runs as often as you like.
Here’s a quick overview of Horrific Vision Revisited we’re dealing with in 11.1.5:
- Run as often as you like with no entry limits
- Weekly rewards are based on how much challenge you take on
- Progress and unlocks like buffs and masks apply across your Warband
- Hero-level items and brand-new collectibles await persistent players
- A deeper upgrade system lets you gain powerful permanent boosts
- Three fresh masks offer extra modifiers and trickier runs
- Construct of Soridormi can join you as Tank, Healer, or Damage Dealer
We’ve received a ton of Horrific Vision 11.1.5 changes that bring this event back to life. The key one is that you can now do as many runs as you want. You can dive in, test builds, chase gear, or challenge yourself with max difficulty. This system gives players room to play their way while still offering exciting rewards and variety every week.
Horrific Visions Revisited Location
Dornogal is the Horrific Vision Revisited location you’ll need to visit and look for Soridormi to start your journey. She’ll give you a short questline that opens access to the vision hub. Once completed, you’ll unlock a Portal to Horrific Visions near the Coreway – easy to find on your map.
This entrance takes you straight into the twisted versions of Stormwind and Orgrimmar. These corrupted cities act as your battlegrounds, filled with enemies, objectives, and a final boss. Everything begins from this central point, so get there early and prepare for the madness that lies ahead.
Horrific Visions Revisited Mechanics
Horrific Visions event is now more flexible, fun, and packed with action than ever. You can enter them solo or with up to four friends and tackle corrupted versions of Stormwind or Orgrimmar. Your goal? Clear as many zones as possible before your sanity runs out. The deeper you go, the harder it gets, but so do the rewards.
Each city contains multiple wings with different objectives, like rescuing prisoners or destroying threats. Clear all wings and beat the final boss for the best loot. You decide how far to push your run.
Here’s a table explaining the most important Horrific Visions Revisited mechanics:
Mechanic | Description |
Sanity Drain | Sanity decreases with time and enemy hits. Losing it ends the run. |
Wing Challenges | Each wing has tasks like rescuing NPCs or closing portals. |
Scaling Rewards | More difficulty means better loot and higher item level gear. |
Companion Help | Construct of Soridormi aids you in battle with a role of your choice. |
Tribute Buffs | Earn buffs by doing side objectives like using potions or slaying elites. |
Faceless Masks | Activate up to 8 masks to boost rewards and increase the challenge. |
Talent Tree Upgrades | Permanent power bonuses are unlockable with earned currency across characters. |
Finishing tougher setups earns you better gear, cosmetics, and resources. The mix of risk and reward makes every run exciting.
Masks in Horrific Visions Revisited
Masks in Horrific Visions Revisited are optional challenges you can activate before each Horrific Vision run begins. Each mask you use makes enemies tougher, but increases the rewards earned at the end. You can mix and match up to eight total masks to create your perfect run.
You’ll unlock these masks by completing specific tasks during vision runs. Once collected, masks appear as glowing shrines in the staging zone. Any player in the group can activate them. The more you stack, the greater the danger and possible rewards you can obtain.
All masks add general effects to the vision:
- Enemies gain +25% health per mask.
- They deal +25% more damage per mask.
- You earn +20% more Displaced Corrupted Mementos per mask.
Using all eight gives mobs 200% health and damage. You’ll also earn a 140% bonus currency.
Each mask also adds its own unique twist. Here’s what they do:
Mask | Effect |
Faceless Mask of the Long Night | Halves your maximum Sanity for the entire run. |
Faceless Mask of the Burned Bridge | Moving drops void zones that drain 30 Sanity per second. |
Faceless Mask of the Daredevil | Enemies deal 400% more Sanity damage. |
Faceless Mask of the Pained | Doubles the madness effects in every zone of the vision. |
Faceless Mask of Dark Imagination | Summons a Horrific Figment if your sanity falls below 50%. |
Faceless Mask of Vengeance | Killing mobs empowers nearby foes to deal 15% more damage for 20 seconds. |
Faceless Mask of the Nemesis | An elite nemesis spawns every 25 kills with Sanity Breaker abilities. |
Faceless Mask of Multitudes | Greatly increases the number of enemies throughout the vision. |
You’ll need to complete vision tasks with one mask active to unlock others. Some masks require defeating specific enemies or finding hidden objects. Here's what you can expect:
- Faceless Mask of the Long Night: Complete all objectives in a single vision.
- Faceless Mask of the Burned Bridge: Complete Valley of Wisdom with any mask active.
- Faceless Mask of the Daredevil: Finish Valley of Honor under mask conditions.
- Faceless Mask of the Pained: Clear Old Town with one mask running.
- Faceless Mask of Dark Imagination: Defeat the Mage Quarter objective while masked.
- Faceless Mask of Vengeance: Found near the canals in Stormwind.
- Faceless Mask of the Nemesis: Defeat Hogger and Gamon to fuse their shards.
- Faceless Mask of Multitudes: Finish all objectives using three active masks.
We highly recommend that you follow this mask unlock path for maximum value:
- Faceless Mask of the Burned Bridge
- Faceless Mask of Dark Imagination
- Faceless Mask of the Nemesis
- Faceless Mask of Vengeance
- Faceless Mask of the Daredevil
- Faceless Mask of the Long Night
- Faceless Mask of the Pained
- Faceless Mask of Multitudes
Start with Burned Bridge to get familiar with moving under pressure. Add Dark Imagination next to build awareness of sanity management. Nemesis is helpful early, as it rewards sanity when defeated. Vengeance teaches you to manage pulls carefully. Daredevil and Long Night push your sanity control further. Pained and Multitudes are the most difficult, so save them for last.
Masks offer the ultimate test. Choose wisely, plan your path, and take your time. Each mask brings new challenges, but mastering them all is your key to the best loot and titles. BLOG20
Displaced Corrupted Mementos
Displaced Corrupted Mementos are your core currency inside Horrific Visions Revisited. You earn them by fighting through wings, clearing bosses, and completing objectives during your runs. Unlike the original version, this is a brand-new item and isn't connected to your old stash.
They’re warband-tradeable, which means you can freely send them to your alts. No loss, no tax. Just pure one-to-one sharing.
You’ll need lots of these for upgrading talents, buying gear kits, and unlocking vendor items. The more you play, the more you stack up. They drop from nearly everything inside a vision, so stockpile wisely.
At SkyCoach, we can help you with Farming Displaced Corrupted Mementos to ensure you get the required amount of this currency. We guarantee the best prices and the fastest delivery time!
Horrific Visions Revisited NPC Companion
Horrific Visions now include a helpful NPC to fight by your side. You’ll meet a Construct of Soridormi who joins your runs once unlocked. She can take on different roles depending on what you need most.
Choose between a Tank, Healer, or Damage Dealer before entering the vision. This flexibility lets solo and small groups balance their setup better. This is why you want to give a shot and play a run with Soridormi:
- Role Choice: Swap between roles to fit your group setup.
- Reliable Support: Helps with survival, healing, or extra damage.
- No Unlock Grind: Available early, no deep progression needed.
Note: Remember that starting a run with Soridormi also improves its difficulty. This can be compared to bringing another real player with you. Therefore, using this NPC helper is only recommended if you have no friends to play with. Otherwise, a real person would be more helpful for sure.
Tribute Buffs
Tribute Buffs are a new feature in Horrific Visions Revisited that reward consistent runs. These passive boosts build up over time as you complete different activities during your vision attempts. They’re shared across your entire Warband, so progress benefits all your characters. Buffs activate automatically once their meters are full and give you solid advantages inside each vision.
Before entering a run, you can view your Tribute progress in the waiting zone. There are four types to unlock, each tied to specific vision tasks.
Let’s look at all Tribute Buffs available so far:
- Tribute of the Vision Seeker
Rank | Effect |
1 | Defeating an enemy increases movement and haste by 1% for 1 minute. Stacks 5 times. |
2 | Defeating an enemy increases movement and haste by 2% for 1 minute. Stacks 5 times. |
3 | Defeating an enemy increases movement and haste by 3% for 1 minute. Stacks 5 times. |
- Tribute of Elite Hunter
Rank | Effect |
1 | Taking down an elite enemy restores 50 Sanity during your run. |
2 | Taking down an elite enemy restores 100 Sanity during your run. |
3 | Taking down an elite enemy restores 150 Sanity during your run. |
- Tribute of Chaos Bender
Rank | Effect |
1 | At over 50% Sanity, deal 4% more damage. Below 50%, take 4% less. |
2 | At over 50% Sanity, deal 8% more damage. Below 50%, take 8% less. |
3 | At over 50% Sanity, deal 12% more damage. Below 50%, take 12% less. |
- Tribute of Hidden Insight
Rank | Effect |
1 | Gain sight of loot chests hidden in Tainted zones. |
2 | Spot hidden chests in both Tainted and Corrupted zones. |
3 | Reveal treasure in Tainted, Corrupted, and Lost areas. |
Filling each Tribute bar takes effort, but they’ll make your future runs much smoother. They’re especially helpful when stacking masks or trying full clears. Once active, buffs stay with you for the whole vision, giving you an edge in even the toughest areas.
Upgrade Talent Tree
The Hourglass of Horrific Visions is the upgrade talent tree we’re dealing with this time for the event. This account-wide tree replaces the old Titanic Research with a more focused system. It’s designed to improve your strength, boost your survivability, and reward consistent effort across your characters.
Progressing this tree requires Echoes of N’Zoth, which you earn by trading Displaced Corrupted Mementos with Augermu in Dornogal. The upgrade path is gated weekly, so you’ll complete it over three weeks. Each week unlocks more nodes and costs more Mementos. Here’s how the weekly cost scales:
Week | Total Cost Per Echo (Each Tier) |
1 | 20 → 100 → 300 → 500 |
2 | 700 → 800 → 900 → 1000 |
3 | 1100 → 1200 → 1300 → 1400 → 1500 |
We’ve prepared a detailed description of each upgrade to ensure you understand how the new system works:
Grants the ability to use Sanity Orbs, which revive teammates and restore sanity. A party can place up to three orbs during a single run, no matter who uses them.
Boosts your outgoing damage and reduces damage taken when alone. The more allies nearby, the less effective this bonus becomes.
- Tier 1: +5% damage dealt and -5% damage taken
- Tier 2: +10% damage dealt and -10% damage taken
- Tier 3: +15% damage dealt and -15% damage taken
Each tier gives a significant boost, but you need to decide if you actually need it.
Triggers once per vision when you drop to zero health or sanity. Instantly revives you with full health and 500 Sanity.
Improves your resistance to sanity loss during visions.
- Tier 1: -10% drain
- Tier 2: -20% drain
- Tier 3: -30% drain
- Tier 4: -40% drain
Similarly to other trees above, you need to think wisely if a tier upgrade is worth it.
Raises max sanity for your whole party, helping everyone stay longer in the vision.
- Tier 1: +50 max sanity
- Tier 2: +100 max sanity
- Tier 3: +150 max sanity
The same idea is applied.
The first time you help a downed ally, it costs no Sanity at all.
After unlocking everything else, you’ll gain access to this final power. Occasionally, killing enemies will grant you a burst of movement speed and haste. During this buff, sanity loss is completely blocked for 20 seconds. BLOG20
Corruptions in Horrific Visions Revisited
One of the most exciting features returning with Horrific Visions Revisited is Corruption. Originally part of Battle for Azeroth, this system gave gear powerful bonuses at the cost of dangerous side effects. In 11.1.5, it’s back with a twist. Corruptions now come as temporary helmet runes with no drawbacks, letting you unleash serious power without the old risks.
These enchantments won’t last forever, as they expire at the end of Season 2.
You’ll unlock access to them by finishing two quests tied to Horrific Visions end chests:
- Borrowing Corruption: Requires 500 Displaced Corrupted Mementos and 8 Black Blood Residue. These come from ending chests in Corrupted or Lost areas. Completing this unlocks Lesser Runes.
- Enhancing Corruption: Needs 1000 Displaced Corrupted Mementos and 8 Black Blood Coagulate from Lost area chests. This opens access to Greater Runes.
Once each quest is done, the entire Warband can use the vendor in Dornogal to buy the runes.
Rune | Description |
Lesser Rune of the Void Ritual | Grants a chance for abilities to boost all secondary stats each second. |
Lesser Rune of the Twisted Appendage | Attacks may summon a tentacle that channels Shadow damage on your target. |
Lesser Rune of Gushing Wound | Damage abilities might trigger a bleeding effect that deals damage over time. |
Lesser Rune of Infinite Stars | Abilities can call down an Infinite Star for Arcane damage and stacking debuff. |
Lesser Rune of Echoing Void | Each damaging skill has a chance to trigger a pulsing Shadow explosion. |
Lesser Rune of Twilight Devastation | Attacks may release a frontal blast of Shadow energy, dealing massive damage. |
Greater Runes cost more and are available after finishing Enhancing Corruption. Here’s what they do:
Rune | Description |
Greater Rune of the Void Ritual | Spells and abilities might boost all secondaries more powerfully every second. |
Greater Rune of the Twisted Appendage | Hits can spawn a stronger tentacle that channels heavier Shadow damage. |
Greater Rune of Gushing Wound | Chance to apply an even bloodier wound that causes higher bleed damage. |
Greater Rune of Infinite Stars | Spells may unleash stronger Infinite Stars with higher damage and debuff stacks. |
Greater Rune of Echoing Void | Attacks build a void burst that explodes for high Shadow damage repeatedly. |
Greater Rune of Twilight Devastation | Your strikes may trigger a devastating frontal beam of Shadow devastation. |
Horrific Visions Revisited Vendors
Three main Horrific Vision Revisited vendors will be waiting for you outside the event hub in Dornogal. These merchants offer powerful gear, heroic weapons, cosmetic sets, and useful crafting items. Their inventory expands as you progress, so unlocking higher difficulties pays off. Three vendors cover different reward tiers:
- TickTak, Veteran Weaponsmith: Available after clearing two wings and the final boss.
- Rhythferr, Champion Weaponsmith: Unlock by completing a full clear with one mask active.
- Chreni, Heroic Weaponsmith: Requires a full clear while wearing five masks in one run.
Each vendor sells gear tied to your performance. Higher risk gives access to better loot. Most gear can be upgraded, and your purchases are unlocked account-wide. This makes it easier to help your alts catch up fast.
Horrific Visions Revisited Rewards
Horrific Visions in patch WoW 11.1.5 are packed with exciting rewards and collectibles. You’ll find scaling gear, mounts, toys, transmogs, pets, and currency rewards across every difficulty tier. How much you earn depends on your performance and the number of Faceless Masks you activate.
The more masks you equip, the greater the challenge, and the better the prizes. You can earn one piece of gear per difficulty each week, with the item level rising as the mask count increases. Full clears with four or five masks are the sweet spot for top-tier loot.
Check out this table to see what gear ilvl you can get:
Masks Used | Track Tier | Item Level | Loot Type |
0 | Veteran | 626–636 | Entry-level gear |
1-2 | Champion | 639–645 | Normal quality |
3–4 | Hero | 648–652 | High-end loot |
5 | Hero | 658 | BiS-level gear |
6–8 | Prestige | 658 | No extra power |
Each clear also grants Undermine Crests for upgrading your items:
Masks Used | Crest Type |
0 | Weathered Undermine Crest |
1-2 | Carved Undermine Crest |
3–4 | Runed Undermine Crest |
5 or more | Gilded Undermine Crest |
As of Season 2, grabbing Horrific Visions Revisited loot is the best way to gear up reliably. Since you have no limits concerning how many runs you can do, this only makes it easier. BLOG20
