With the launch of Season 01, Warzone received a new thematic map, which is smaller than Urzikstan, but still. But more importantly, the game now also features (for the first time in history) its own set of unique Dark Ops Challenges. So, just like BO6, you’re supposed to guess or discover the requirements for these challenges on your own. Luckily, you don’t have to look any further!

What Are Warzone Dark Ops Challenges?

Let’s start our Warzone Dark Ops guide with some flipping housekeeping and explain the terminology. If you don’t know what Dark Ops challenges are – these are the challenges that have hidden descriptions, so there’s no way of knowing how to complete them until you accidentally do it or ask around. Coincidentally, this is what this guide is about. Completing Dark Ops challenges rewards you with unique calling cards that bear the same name as the challenge itself. There are 16 challenges in the Warzone Dark Ops challenges list, so let’s no longer delay and get going!

Resourceful

This is one of the easiest challenges to complete in Warzone. The objective is simple: get three kills without reloading in a single match. One of the most obvious Warzone Dark Ops challenge tips for this one would be to use weapons that have larger magazines, like Light Machine Guns (LMGs).

In the Hot Seat

To complete this challenge, kill an enemy while riding in a vehicle. The easiest way to do this is to have a teammate drive the vehicle while you lean out the window and get a kill. So, there’s really no other way to do it. Get a teammate to drive a vehicle and go looking for targets to shoot. But if you’re playing solo, maybe you could get away with driving and shooting at the same time. You’d have to quickly switch your seat to pull this stunt off, though. BLOG20

Instinctual Sniper

This challenge requires you to kill an enemy while hip-firing with a sniper rifle. While it sounds tricky, it's easier to do on smaller, close-quarters maps like Area 99. Just get up close to an enemy, and as long as they’re not too evasive, you should be able to pull this off. Just make sure not to just down the player but finish them off to get this challenge done.

Prison Trickster

This one’s a bit more difficult. To complete it, you need to perform a finishing move in the Gulag. This can be tricky depending on the skill of your opponent, but with some smoke grenades or distraction, you can sneak up behind them and complete the move. And in case you don’t know how to get to Gulag – you have to die in a Warzone match for the first time in the first 5-10 minutes.

Demolitions Improv

For this challenge, kill an enemy with a C4 or Blast Trap attached to a vehicle. This will require teamwork, as you’ll need a teammate to drive a vehicle toward enemies. Use the C4 or blast trap to destroy them. There’s not much else to say in regards to the Dark Ops challenges completion guide except one more thing. Timing is key here, as the vehicle you chose needs to be damaged enough to explode. Plus, you should soften up your potential victims first because a blast like this is not going to down a fully-plated enemy.

Economic Gunslinging

In this challenge, you need to get five headshots with pistols in a single match. While it’s tough in larger squad modes, where you’ll often encounter more experienced players, this challenge becomes much easier to complete in solos. In solo matches, you’ll have a better chance of facing off against less experienced opponents or those caught off guard. The key to success is to pick up the best pistol you can find, ideally one with a high rate of fire and accuracy. Once you’ve got your weapon, focus on aiming for headshots, as these offer the quickest path to downing your enemy.

Death from Above

This challenge asks you to kill an enemy while driving a helicopter. You can either fly the helicopter yourself or have a teammate fly it while you shoot down enemies. The most critical part of this challenge is ensuring that you get the kill by hitting the enemy directly with the helicopter itself. Simply shooting from the helicopter won’t count, so you need to be precise with your movements. To make this easier, try flying low and fast, aiming to clip enemies on the ground or in the air. If you're using a teammate to pilot, communicate well and have them fly in such a way that allows you to line up a clean shot without risking your own safety. It’s a bit tricky, but with the right positioning and coordination, you’ll be able to rack up this unique kill.

Scrappy Warrior

Win a Battle Royale or Resurgence match without accessing your loadout. This one’s pretty tough since you’ll need to make do with the ground loot. 

But if you use your head and play it smart, focusing on finding the best gear, it’s certainly doable. In this challenge, you’ll have to rely entirely on the ground loot scattered across the map, so it’s crucial to make the most of every item you find. Since you won’t have the comfort of your customized weapons or perks, you’ll need to adapt your playstyle by searching for powerful weapons and attachments in the environment. Pay close attention to high-traffic areas where good loot tends to spawn, like bunkers or military complexes, but also be cautious, as these areas can attract other players. Prioritize getting armor, shield plates, and a solid set of weapons early on, then focus on positioning yourself well for the final circles. The key here is to play it safe — pick your targets, don’t rush them to start the fight, and do all the other stuff that you probably hate doing. BLOG20

If you’re playing with a team, make sure to work together and share loot effectively, especially when it comes to healing items and equipment. It’s a tough challenge, but by utilizing the best ground loot and playing strategically, you’ll be able to earn this Dark Ops calling card.

Show Off

In BR or Resurgence, get a kill in the final circle with a Semtex or Drill Charge stick. The goal is to secure a kill in the last moments of the match, but with a twist—you can’t use traditional gunfire or melee attacks. Instead, you must rely on throwing equipment like the Semtex grenade or Drill Charge to eliminate your opponent. The timing is crucial, as the final circle tends to be small, with players squeezed into a tight area, which can make it harder to land these specialized kills.

To increase your chances, make sure you have a good stockpile of Semtex grenades or Drill Charges before the final circle begins. A key strategy is to wait until the last few enemies are engaged in a fight or distracted by the shrinking play area. This allows you to sneak up on them or take advantage of their position as they scramble for cover. Another tip is to use a Munitions Box to ensure you have enough grenades to keep throwing if needed. Remember, the Semtex sticks need to be thrown at an enemy, and the Drill Charge requires you to plant it on a surface close to the enemy before detonation. Mastering this challenge requires both patience and precision, but the satisfaction of getting that final kill with an explosive device will make it worth the effort.

Surgical Victor

This challenge requires you to kill an enemy from the last remaining squad with a Throwing Knife or Combat Axe. Make sure you’re aware of which squad remains, and time your throw carefully. It’s a tough one, but the satisfaction of completing it will be well worth it.

The first key to completing this challenge is awareness—during the final moments of the match, you need to track which squad is still alive and make sure you’re targeting the last remaining enemy or enemies. Timing is critical, as the last squad often becomes more alert and defensive, so you’ll need to wait for the right moment to strike. A great approach is to either catch them while they’re distracted in combat or find a position where you can line up your throw from a distance. Using the Throwing Knife or Combat Axe requires precision; unlike firearms, these projectiles have a slower travel time, so you’ll need to lead your shot to account for distance and movement. Take advantage of cover and elevation—throwing from a higher vantage point or behind the cover can give you the edge, especially if you’re trying to make a surprise attack. The Throwing Knife and Combat Axe both deal significant damage, but you must ensure you get a clean hit—if you miss, it could cost you the kill, especially in the final circle when everyone is playing cautiously. As with many challenges in Warzone, teamwork can also play a role—if you’re playing with a squad, use their support to bait enemies into an open area where you can line up a perfect shot. 

Contract Completionist

Complete five contracts in a single BR or Resurgence match. This one’s about working efficiently and choosing contracts that are easy to complete, such as Scavengers or Recon missions. Keep an eye on the map and be smart with your choices to get this one done.

Efficient Combatant

To complete this challenge, get 10 kills without firing a gun in a single match. You can use melee weapons or equipment like grenades to get the kills. It’s all about using the environment to your advantage. While trying to get this done, you’ll encounter a larger amount of toxic players because nobody is going to enjoy watching themselves being killed with melee attacks or by spamming throwables!

Since you can’t use your gun, you’ll need to rely on your melee weapons, explosives, or environmental kills to get the job done. Start by equipping yourself with equipment like grenades, C4, or throwing knives, as they can help you take out enemies from a distance without ever pulling the trigger. Melee weapons like the Combat Axe or a Riot Shield also come in handy, allowing you to sneak up on enemies and deal damage up close.

One of the best strategies is to focus on ambushes and surprise attacks. Since you’re not firing a gun, you’ll want to be stealthy and use the environment to your advantage. Use cover and elevation to sneak around the map and get in close to enemies before striking with a melee attack or an explosive. You could also use the environment to cause damage by shooting explosive barrels, dropping objects on unsuspecting foes, or even running enemies over with vehicles. In Resurgence or smaller squad modes, this challenge can be a little easier because of the smaller player count, but you still need to be strategic about when and where you engage.

Strategic Tactician

Win a Battle Royale game with over 25 eliminations. This one is tough and requires precision. It’s best done on a map with high action like Urzikstan, and you’ll need to use the best weapons and strategies to rack up those kills.

To complete it, you’ll need to not only survive until the final stages of the match but also rack up a high number of kills along the way. The key to this challenge is precision, aggression, and the ability to outlast your opponents while consistently securing eliminations. With over 25 eliminations required, you’ll have to be highly active throughout the match, constantly engaging enemies and capitalizing on opportunities.

Urzikstan is huge, and there are lots of places to dunk on enemies regardless of what weapons you use. (You better be using the meta, bros). The more players there are to face, the better your chances of hitting that 25-elimination mark. Keeping your head on a swivel and staying cool and mobile is totally clutch, ensuring you’re constantly in the action without giving enemies the chance to flank or catch you off guard.

To achieve this, you’ll need to be using the best weapons and loadouts that suit a fast-paced, aggressive playstyle. Opt for versatile weapons that can handle both close-quarter combat and long-range engagements, like assault rifles or SMGs, with high mobility and good accuracy. Graceful Contender

This challenge asks you to get 5 kills without taking any damage in a single match. It’s most manageable in the early stages of the match when players haven’t fully geared up with armor or loadouts, making them more vulnerable to quick eliminations. During this phase, you can take advantage of sniping or using long-range weapons to pick off enemies before they even get close enough to engage you.

Look for positions that give you the high ground or a clear line of sight to opponents, like rooftops or hills, where you can catch them off guard as they loot or rotate. Avoid unnecessary close-quarter engagements and focus on strategic positioning, allowing you to eliminate targets with minimal risk. Using UAVs and Tracker perks can also help you identify weak or distracted enemies, making it easier to secure kills without taking damage yourself. As the match progresses, players will have more gear, so you’ll need to rely on speed and stealth to maintain your advantage.

Low Rider

Kill 4 enemies while riding in a vehicle. This one requires teamwork again, but with a good driver and a good position, you can easily rack up the kills while riding in the vehicle. To make this work, you’ll need a reliable driver who knows how to maneuver the vehicle efficiently while you focus on taking out enemies. It’s crucial to have good positioning — being in a fast-moving vehicle like an ATV or SUV can help you quickly close the gap between you and your enemies, making it easier to get those kills. BLOG20

Abyssal Horrors

Earn Abyss camo on 33 different weapons. This is one of the most difficult challenges in Warzone. It requires unlocking the Mastery Camo for every weapon in the game. It’s a grind but well worth it for those who love to complete every challenge.

Each weapon type has its own set of unique requirements that you'll need to complete, such as getting a specific number of kills and headshots or even completing challenges that require you to use attachments or specific combat styles.

The grind to unlock Abyss camo can be lengthy and tedious since some weapons require a significant amount of time and effort to level up and complete their challenges. Whether it's hip fire kills, long-range shots, or multi-kills, the obstacles vary from weapon to weapon, and you'll need to stay consistent and methodical to make sure you don't get discouraged. On top of that, some weapons like snipers or pistols may require a lot of precision and patience, especially when playing against tougher competition.
