We know that naming a top Mythic+ DPS is a controversial thing to do. Each spec can shift from one tier to another unexpectedly. Many factors, including your ability to play it, matter when it comes to creating any rankings. Our Mythic+ tier list puts each DPS specialization into a respective tier from S to D. Let’s see how each tier works:

• S-Tier – The absolute best. These specs deal high damage, have great utility, and fit into every group.
• A-Tier – Strong and reliable. They may not be top-tier, but they still perform extremely well.
• B-Tier – Decent picks. They do well but might lack burst, utility, or survivability in tougher keys.
• C-Tier – Playable but weaker. These specs struggle in higher keys due to low damage or limited utility.
• D-Tier – The weakest. They fall behind in damage, struggle with survivability, or lack useful tools for Mythic+.

This ranking considers real dungeon data, class balance, and player experience. Keep in mind that skill and teamwork still matter more than pure numbers!

We’ve compared all damage-dealing specs and put them in one of the tiers we’ve already described. Treat it a bit subjectively, as you can think that a particular spec should belong to a higher/lower tier. Anyway, here’s our Mythic+ DPS tier list for The War Within Season 2:

If you see your favorite spec sitting in a lower tier than expected, this is not the end of the day. Eventually, it all comes down to how well you play this specialization. While S-tier usually wins, even lower-tier specs can perform well with good execution and teamwork.

S-Tier

• Elemental Shaman

• Havoc Demon Hunter

Recently buffed in single-target damage, Havoc Demon Hunter performs much better than before. Their sustained damage and priority-target output have improved. This makes them more competitive compared to previous patches. Although they received some nerfs, they still rank well in Mythic+.

• Feral Druid

Known for high burst damage, this spec thrives in AoE-heavy fights. Their energy starvation remains an issue, but their strong utility and group buffs keep them relevant. With consistent tuning changes, they are one of the best melee options.

• Enhancement Shaman

Despite several rounds of nerfs, Enhancement Shamans still perform above average. Their short cooldowns and strong sustain make them consistent damage dealers. With great funnel damage and solid AoE, they remain a strong melee pick.

• Assassination Rogue

With great priority-target damage, Assassination Rogue shines in AoE fights. Their single-target output needs improvement, but consistent damage and utility keep them viable. While not as strong as before, they remain a solid melee choice.

• Beast Mastery Hunter

• Frost Mage

Those specs belonging to the B-Tier are still worth your attention. Yes, they’re noticeably weaker compared to those from the S-Tier or even the ones from the A-Tier. However, they’re more than playable and can complete higher M+ keys easily. It all comes down to your skill and team comp:

• Devastation Evoker

After recent adjustments, Devastation Evoker now has a more flexible playstyle. Their tier set provides a major damage boost, but they still struggle to compete with top specs. Strong burst damage and unique Evoker utility keep them relevant in Mythic+.

• Outlaw Rogue

Reliable consistent damage keeps them viable, but they lack strong burst potential. While their utility remains top-tier, their damage ceiling is lower than other melee options. Their target cap limits them in high-end content.

• Frost Death Knight

Despite retaining strong AoE burst, this spec has fallen from its former glory. Their damage output is now moderate, making them less desirable. While their defensive tools remain strong, they lack the consistency of higher-tier specs.

• Windwalker Monk

With recent buffs to AoE, their damage output has improved. They still struggle with target caps, limiting their effectiveness in mass pulls. Strong single-target damage and mobility keep them competitive.

• Affliction Warlock

Sustained damage remains their biggest strength, but they struggle with cooldown-dependent burst. Their rotation requires precise execution, making them less forgiving in fast-paced dungeons. Despite these issues, they shine in long encounters.

• Arms Warrior

Following recent nerfs, their single-target and AoE output has dropped. Yes, their execute damage remains strong, but they lack the overall power of top-tier melee. Their durability has improved, but their damage is still lacking.

• Marksmanship Hunter

After a complete rework, this spec offers a more versatile playstyle. Their AoE burst remains strong, but damage without cooldowns is weak. Despite better single-target output, they still struggle to match top specs.

• Subtlety Rogue

With some of the best burst damage, this spec excels in AoE-heavy fights. Their strong priority-target damage and mobility make them versatile in Mythic+. Their single-target is solid, but they lack sustained damage outside cooldowns.

C-Tier

We’ve almost reached the very bottom of our M+ DPS tier list for WoW 11.1, heroes. The specs you see in this category are much weaker than any of those picks we’ve already described. Still, they can be used if you enjoy their playstyle or want to try something different:

• Fury Warrior

Burst-heavy playstyle keeps them fun, but recent nerfs hit their overall damage hard. With a strict target cap on AoE, they fall behind in larger pulls. Even though their durability improved, their utility remains one of the weakest among melee.

• Augmentation Evoker

After several nerfs, their impact in groups is much weaker than before. Their buffs no longer affect tanks and healers, lowering their effectiveness in Mythic+. They’re still valued for utility, but their overall power has dropped significantly.

• Survival Hunter

Consistent damage and short cooldowns help them stay relevant, but their overall output is low. The rotation has remained mostly unchanged. This has left many players disappointed with the lack of improvements. Without further buffs, they struggle to compete with higher-tier specs.

D-Tier

We’ve finally come to the end of our tier list with the only spec sitting in the D-Tier. This specialization urgently needs a batch of buffs to get into the meta again:

• Arcane Mage

Struggles to keep up with other ranged specs due to inconsistent damage output. Their burst is strong, but their sustained damage falls short in longer fights. The complex playstyle makes them harder to use effectively in Mythic+. Without major buffs, they remain the weakest DPS choice this season.

Best Mythic Plus DPS Overall in 11.1

If we have to pick one best Mythic Plus DPS in Patch 11.1, that would be Fire Mage. This spec is shredding Mythic+ this season, and it’s easy to see why. Their new tier set boosts Combustion uptime, making their burst damage completely insane. When Combustion is active, they melt everything in sight. It feels like their old BFA playstyle, where they explode in damage during cooldowns.

Survivability is another big reason why Fire Mage is so strong. They have tons of defensives, like Ice Barrier, Mass Barrier, Greater Invisibility, and Ice Block.
