Tarisland is an upcoming promising triple-A MMORPG that features colorful graphics, a classic combat system, and multiple classes and roles for players to pick up. This article is the dedicated Tarisland Hunter Ranger guide, where we will explore all aspects of one of two Ranger specializations. Generally speaking, the Rangers in Tarisland are a range-based, bow-wielding class that excels at dealing damage from afar. The two specializations available are quite different despite belonging to the same class, and today, we’re covering the classic bow ranger.

This guide aims to provide the most complete information on the existing subclass in the current version of the game. So, let us dive into the mechanics of the Hunter Ranger Tarisland, and see what makes it one of the DPS horsemen.

Hunter Ranger Pros & Cons

As with any other class in the game, the Hunter Ranger has its PROs and CONs and it is important to know both to be able to understand the specialization better. Therefore, let us explore the spec’s strong and weak sides:

Starting with the Hunter Ranger PROs they encompass the following:

  • Ranged DPS role -  Hunter Rangers have everything they need to be the top-tier DPS class.
  • Easy to handle in PvP - this spec has a number of useful abilities for PvP: silence, movement speed debuff, stuns, traps, and jumps.
  • An overall easy spec to play - ranged classes in MMORPGs are traditionally much easier for newer players because they allow you to take out enemies before they can deal any damage to you. Besides, the Hunter Ranger specs themselves are rather simple mechanics-wise. All of this means that it will be easier and faster to level up this class and clear end-game content.

At the same time, there are certain Hunter Ranger CONs that you should be aware of

  • Managing your skills - It can be pretty difficult to manage a specific debuff that you will have in your build, specifically in cases when you’re switching your target from the boss to some other mob. If handled incorrectly, you will lose stacks of resources that you will have built over time, which would be quite a waste.
  • Small HP pool - despite the class being fairly easy to play, you must keep in mind that its health pool isn’t big at all. This means that if you’re careless and take on too many enemies at once, you will die quickly. Therefore, despite the overall ease, playing smart is very much a requirement.
  • Resource Management - understanding the class mechanic is key. You can’t just pick up the class and start randomly mashing all 6 ability buttons and expect to deal the most damage in the group.

These were all of the advantages and disadvantages of the Hunter Ranger spec. Before we proceed further, you should know that if you’re playing the game, you can buy Hunter Ranger Powerleveling service to make farming and grinding easier for yourself. Our team of professional Tarisland players will get your character to any level you want without having you spend weeks on mindless mob farming.

How to Play Hunter Ranger in Tarisland

Let’s continue our Hunter Ranger DPS guide, explaining the unique specialization mechanic. All there’s to know about it is that you accumulate “Stability” points by using an ability while standing and dealing damage. Then, you spend these points on other abilities and various bonuses depending on how many points you accumulate. So, let’s do a quick summary of how to play Hunter Ranger in Tarisland in five simple points:

  • Build up Stability - these points accumulate over time when you’re not moving in combat. Out of combat, you lose points over time. Your first ability also gives you points when you use it.
  • Keep track of points via UI - you have your special UI element on the screen that shows how much Stability you have. It has thresholds or sections that will give you an idea of how powerful a bonus you can use.
  • Spend points to make your abilities stronger - all of your skills from the second to the sixth have their own bonuses when you use them while having a certain amount of Stability.
  • Use an effective rotation - as with any other class, there’s a Hunter Ranger rotation of abilities that makes the best of the spec’s mechanic and all of the abilities. It’s important that you figure out your own rotation, but later on in the article, we’ll supply you with a rotation template.
  • Use ultimates - don’t forget that you will also have powerful ultimates that you can incorporate into your rotations. We’ll cover them in more detail below.
  • Play smart - make sure you keep your distance and deal as much damage as you can. Use stuns, traps, and other tricks for protection, and be mindful of your own HP.

Long story short, this spec isn’t particularly complex in its mechanics, but you still need to get a feel for it and see how it works in practice. In the following part, we’ll go over all of the abilities and what they do. BLOG20

Best Hunter Ranger Builds

If you look at the list of talents this spec has, you can come up with at least two great Hunter Ranger builds that play and work a little differently. Both builds are centered around one ability:

So, the two latest and strongest Hunter Ranger builds are these:

  • Sniper Shot build
  • Magic Shot build

Of course, you want to know which of the two is the best PvE Hunter Ranger build and which one is better for PvP. In the following section, we’ll talk about just that.

Best Hunter Ranger PvE Build

Conceptually, both Tarisland Hunter Ranger PvE build and PvP build focus on the talent that you can unlock once you reach level 16. Then, you need to make a choice to either replace one of your abilities with an alternative or not.

That said, for the PvE build, we’re going to replace our Sniper shot with the Magic Shot ability. Now, let’s take a look at all the talents you’re going to need for it.

Chosen Talents:

LvL Talent Description
4 Steady Shot Casting Steady Shot 2 times in a row increases your chance of a Crit. by 4.5% for 10 sec. If you use another skill between 2 castings of Steady Shot, the number of castings will be reset
4 Lashing Arrow When your skill deals direct DMG and crits, the target takes Physical DMG equal to 1.5% of your ATK per second for 6 sec.
8 Composed The base MP cost of all skills is reduced by 2.5%. When dealing a Crit Hit, recover 3 MP additionally.
8 Enh Steady Shot Steady Shot deals 13.4%, and now it increases your Stability by 20.
12 Steady Strike Arrow of Corrosion now deals Physical DMG equal to 120% of your ATK one time and has a 100% chance to maximize your Stability and keep it at its maximum for 4 sec.
12 Enh Rapid Shot Rapid Shot deals 15% more base DMG. Once cast, your next Sniper Shot or Magic Shot deals 10% more DMG.
16 Magic Shot Replaces Sniper Shot. Fire magic arrows at the target, dealing Magic DMG of 125% of your ATK +321. When your stability reaches 20/40/60/80, DMG dealt by the skill will be increased by 5%/10%/15%/20%.
16 Explosive Arrow Upon hitting an enemy, Steady Shot, Rapid Shot, and Scatter Shot have a 20% chance of making your next Sniper Shot or Magic Shot carry an Explosive Arrow, dealing Physical DMG equal to 45% of your ATK on enemies no more than 5m away from the target.
20 Magic Burst Magic Shot is 2% more likely to Crit with Crit DMG increased by 5%
20 Rapid Shot Sniper Shot and Magic Shot have a respective 18% and 12% chance of resetting the cooldown for Rapid Shot.
28 Enh Magic Shot Magic Shot deals 10% more base DMG with a 5% chance of giving you a recharge of Steady Shot.
28 Enh Corrosion Arrow While Arrow of Corrosion is active, it deals an additional 3% DMG to the target, and the DMG increases by 13% over time.
32 High Zoom Lens Stability also increases all your DMG dealt, but you lose 10% more Stability when moving. Steady Shot remains unaffected by this effect. When your Stability is higher than 20,10,60, or 80, all your DMG dealt is respectively increased by 0.25%, 0.5%, 0.75%, and 1%.
36 Steady Fire Your Crit DMG is increased by 1%. When skill direct damage deals a Crit. Hit. There’s a 100% chance to reduce the remaining cooldown by Arrow of Corrosion. The higher the Stability, the more the cooldown decreases. Up to 0.1 sec can be reduced at one time.

Essentially, for this Hunter Ranger raid build, you focus on the Magic Shot ability and the talents that enhance it. We deliberately left out some of the talents as we wanted to leave you with a few points that you can spend on talents that you want for yourself. That’s why we skipped the level 24 talents and some others.

Best Hunter Ranger PvP Build

In PvP, it’s important to rely on your skills to prevent your enemies from doing something. That’s why, for this Tarisland Hunter Ranger PvP build, we aren’t replacing the Snoper Shot and instead improving it with certain talents.

8 Sniper Enhance Upon impact, Sniper Shot makes your next Steady Shot deal 45% more DMG.
12 Steady Strike rrow of Corrosion now deals Physical DMG equal to 120% of your ATK one time and has a 100% chance to maximize your Stability and keep it at its maximum for 4 sec.
12 Enh Rapid Shot Rapid Shot deals 15% more base DMG. Once cast, your next Sniper Shot or Magic Shot deals 10% more DMG.
20 Rapid Shot Sniper Shot and Magic Shot have a respective 18% and 12% chance of resetting the cooldown for Rapid Shot.
24 Precision Sniper Shot deals 10% more base DMG. DMG dealt to targets with more than 70% HP is further increased by 10%.

When enhancing the Sniper Shot with the 3 unique talents listed in the table above, you are mostly getting increased damage for this ability, making it a very powerful skill in PvP.

Hunter Ranger Best in Slot Gear Tarisland

As of now, it is too soon to determine the absolute Hunter Ranger Best in Slot (BiS) gear. The main characteristic that you need to focus on when playing on this class is the Critical Damage. So, using any gear that gives you a bonus that will be your BiS.

To make it clear, public tests and early development builds aren’t great for things like determining the best builds or BiS gear. Once the game is released and the meta is finally discovered, that’s when it’s the best time to talk about things like that. For now, we promise you to update this section as soon as more information becomes available.

Hunter Ranger Rotation Tarisland

Let’s assume that you are not using the level 16 talent that replaces your Sniper Shot with the Magic shot. In that case, your best Hunter Ranger rotation will look something like this:

  1. Steady Shot (6): Used first for building up Stability and initiating the damage sequence.
  2. Sniper Shot (4): Follows to capitalize on the Stability built by Steady Shot and to deal high damage.
  3. Steady Shot (1): Cast twice in succession to maintain Stability and prepare for subsequent abilities.
  4. Arrow of Corrosion (3): Utilized next for its damage over time effect and to benefit from the Stability accumulated.
  5. Rapid Shot (2): Inserted here to deliver quick, successive damage, leveraging the Stability level.
  6. Scatter Shot (5): Employed, especially against multiple targets, to maximize area damage output.
  7. Repeat Steady Shot (1): Repeated to sustain Stability and set up for the next cycle of abilities.
  8. Rapid Shot (2): Used again to continue the damage output and take advantage of the Stability level.
  9. Arrow of Corrosion (3): Reintroduced to maintain its damage over time effect and utilize the built-up Stability.
  10. Sniper Shot (4): Reapplied to deliver a powerful shot, benefiting from the accumulated Stability.
  11. Rapid Shot (2): Included once more to keep up the damage momentum and Stability usage.
  12. Steady Shot (1): Repeated to ensure Stability is maintained for the next cycle of abilities.

This list provides a streamlined view of the rotation, highlighting the strategic placement of each ability based on its contribution to maintaining Stability, maximizing damage output, and ensuring a smooth flow in the combat sequence. BLOG20
