ARC Raiders Weather Monitor System Project Guide Quick Summary:

  • Stage One: Plastic Parts x25, Metal Parts x15, ARC Alloy x5, Oil x3.
  • Stage Two: Snitch Scanner x1, Wires x3, Sensors x3, Comet Igniter x1.
  • Stage Three: ARC Powercell x5, Canister x5, Steel Spring x5, Fine Wristwatch x1.
  • Stage Four: Duct Tape x10, Rusted Bolts x3, Water Pump x1, Wasp Driver x3.
  • Stage Five: Camera Lens x3, Damaged Heat Sink x1, Firefly Burner x1, Voltage Converter x3.
  • Rewards for all stages are: Durable Cloth, Great Mullein, Antiseptic, Vita Shot, Gun Parts, Advanced Mechanical and Electrical Components, Showstopper, Trailblazer, Explosive Compound, Medium Shield, Blue Shield Recharger, Sterilized Bandage, and Tactical Mk. 3 Revival augment. You also get a Renegade III and an Extended Barrel mod.
  • Completing all stages rewards you with the Anemometer charm and Raider Coins x250.

The Weather Monitor System requires you to get the parts of the new ARCs. One thing about them is that they have strong armor, so only heavy ammo weapons can deal with them. If you don’t have access to an Anvil or, ahem, Bettina in your inventory, try our ARC Raiders Blueprints and be able to craft as many as you like.

ARC Raiders Weather Monitor System Materials List

As always, there are five project stages that you need to complete. Unlike the Trophy Display project, which requires you to farm progressively more difficult ARCs, this project is much, much simpler. I’d argue you can complete it in a week, if not less. Depending on how much free time you have. You get rewarded with a unique Anemometer charm and 250 Raider Tokens upon completion.

Some of the harder-to-find materials that you need for this project are Fine Wristwatch, Steel Springs, Comet Igniter, Water Pump, and Camera Lens. If you find them before the stage where you need them, be sure to store them for later.

In this article, I’m using an infographic made by u/gifv_Kayla, taken from this Reddit post. If you find this graphic handy, go say thank you.

Stage One

Alright, stage one is so simple, I finished it in mere seconds, and I haven’t been playing the game for quite some time. All the parts you need for it are quite widespread, with ARC Alloy being the only one you can’t buy from Celeste.

  1. Plastic Parts x25
  2. Metal Parts x15
  3. ARC Alloy x5
  4. Oil x3

I don’t think there should be any problem with completing this stage. If you’re a new player, you can buy Oil, Plastic & Metal Parts from Celeste in Speranza. ARC Alloy can only be scavenged in the field from any destroyed ARC, ARC Husks, or ARC Probes.

Materials

Where to Get

Plastic Parts x25

Anywhere or buy from Celeste

Metal Parts x15

Anywhere or buy from Celeste

ARC Alloy x5

ARC enemies, ARC Husks, ARC Probes

Oil x3

Mechanical areas, such as Water Treatment on the Dam, but I recommend just buying it from Celeste.

The first stage rewards you with Durable Cloth x5, Great Mullein x5, Antiseptic x5, and Vita Shot x3. All of these are very nice for crafting healing items.

Stage Two

Stage Two is also quite simple and doesn’t require any hard-to-get parts. There is an ARC part that can only be looted from the new Comet ARC. You can find this new Pop 2.0 on the Dam Battlegrounds during the Hurricane map condition most easily. They appear on other maps as well, though. Comet commonly guards Boss ARCs like Bastion, but you can find it mostly anywhere. Here are all the materials needed for the completion of the second stage of the Weather Monitor System:

  • Snitch Scanner x1
  • Wires x3
  • Sensors x3
  • Comet Igniter x1

To get the Comet Igniter, it is essential that you destroy the ARC and don’t let it explode, as in this case, the Igniter will not spawn. Comet has heavy armor protection, but it opens its core when it starts rushing at you, so you can play it safe and take it down with grenades from afar or take a risk and use high armor pen weapons.

Materials

Where to Get

Snitch Scanner x1

Destroying a Snitch

Wires x3

Wires are easy to find in Electrical or Technological areas of the map, or you can just hop on Stella Montis. You’ll surely find enough of them there.

Sensors x3

Any server-looking things that you have to pry open with your raider tool. I usually look for them in the Departure Building on Spaceport.

Comet Igniter x1

Only gettable if you destroy the Comet without letting it explode.

The rewards you get for completing stage two are Processor x10, Advanced Electrical Components x5, Zipline x3, and one Raider Hatch Key. You can craft shields with these materials.

Stage Three

This stage is simpler to complete, at least because it doesn’t require you to get the new ARC parts. You’ll need to destroy 5 ARCs to get their Powercells. Steel Springs can be easily recycled from certain items, and Canisters are recycled from explosives. The hardest part here is getting the Fine Wristwatch, since it’s a Trinket with a random spawn.

  • ARC Powercell x5
  • Canister x5
  • Steel Spring x5
  • Fine Wristwatch x1

And here’s how you can get these materials and ARC Parts:

Materials

Where to Get

ARC Powercell x5

I recommend taking out Fireballs or Pops, as they always have a power cell on them.

Canister x5

While you can buy them from Celeste, you can also get them by recycling Smoke Grenades or Bicycle Pumps, which are pretty common loot. I don’t find Canisters just lying around often, though.

Steel Spring x5

You can get them from Celeste or by recycling them from Cooling Coils or Spring Cushions. Both can be found in the Testing Annex on the Dam pretty easily.

Fine Wristwatch x1

You can get it from Commercial or Residential areas. I found them quite frequently in Pale Apartments and Ruby Residence on Dam, but you can also get them from Village on Blue Gate or Grandioso Apartments on Buried City.

The rewards you get for completion of this stage are much more pleasant and consist mostly of gun materials. You get Medium Gun Parts x3, Complex Gun Parts x2, Advanced Mechanical Components x3, and one third-level Renegade.

Stage Four

To be honest, I think this project is more of a gift for raiders, as it’s so easily completable. Compared to the previous project, this one is almost a free giveaway. You need the following materials to finish it:

  • Duct Tape x10
  • Rusted Bolts x3
  • Water Pump x1
  • Wasp Driver x3

See what I mean? All of these are really easy to get, except for maybe Rusted Bolts. See where to get those materials below:

Materials

Where to Get

Duct Tape x10

You can buy some of them from Celeste or recycle them from most 2nd and 3rd-grade weapon mods. I know you have tons of goop lying around, so don’t be greedy.

Rusted Bolts x3

Can be easily found in Industrial and Mechanical. Perhaps it’s the most frequently spawning item in these zones. However. I wouldn’t be surprised if the devs would trim down the spawn rate so that the project wouldn’t be completed faster.

Water Pump x1

Get those on Dam Battlegrounds, in Water Treatment Control, or Power Generation Complex. Yeah, they spawn there too, specifically in the shaft area, which you can access from above, south of the Extraction point.

Wasp Driver x3

Destroy 3 Wasps, nuff said.

The rewards for completing stage 4 are Explosive Compound x10, Showstopper x3, Trailblazer x3, and Extended Barrel x1.

Stage Five

And this is where things finally start getting interes… No, I’m kidding. It’s another simple stage, but at least you need to get a part from a new ARC, Firefly. Getting this part is much easier than getting the Comet Igniter, though it can still be really painful and even lead to a raid fail.

  • Camera Lens x3
  • Damaged Heat Sink x1
  • Firefly Burner x1
  • Voltage Converter x3

So, Firefly. It can be found on all maps, patrolling the skies along with other flying ARCs. It has a flamethrower that melts your armor and health really fast. It’s heavily armored, even heavier than Hornet. You need to destroy its thrusters. Two are usually enough.

Materials

Where to Get

Camera Lens x3

I recommend looting Stella Montis or the underground Blue Gate, as Camera Lens is often found in Security areas.

Damaged Heat Sink x1

Just like Sensors, this one can be found in Server racks all over Topside.

Firefly Burner x1

Destroy Firefly. Take heavy ammo weapons to deal with it faster and safer.

Voltage Converter x3

Repeat it with me: You can buy it from Celeste. You can also find them in power shields that you pry open. Usually not far from the Server racks.

The rewards for the final stage are Medium Shield x1, Surge Shield Recharger x5, Sterilized Bandage x3, Tactical Mk. 3 (Revival) x1. And that’s about it for all the Stages. Seems pretty easy. Don’t forget that this isn’t a time-limited project, so you can finish it any time after you finish preparation for the second Expedition.
